Okay. First and foremost I only started this thread to find some validity in a question I had regarding the letter Emily Rose(Anneliese Michel) wrote in the movie after her first exorcism took place and failed. The letter which explained how she was called during the night and given the option by the Virgin Mary to come with her, or stay and serve the lord for a higher purpose.
I've done my own research about the real occurances, so I do not need any information other than if someone has any references about this letter in the movie, or has some educational replies as far as if this was a true event within the movie, or a Hollywood addition. I only ask due to the fact in all my readings I've never heard of the actual letter, however small instances speculate that the continuance of the possession and the exorcisms failing were so she could save more people from "the pain", known as Hell in the Christian faith.
Just curious if anyone had some answers for me. Maybe the new German film "Requiem" will shed light on this subject. Apparently some German film makers didn't like how hoaxy the EOER was and plan on making a more "true to occurance" version.
Thanks for your input
Edit: Also, if fact remains that the letter was indeed real -- why did they continue the exorcisms when Anneliese knew the demons were not going to leave until she died?
