Probably one of my favorite anime in the whole world. It`s just so funny and the way the plot is handled is so awesome. It`s good to see a series that can be serious or goofy or both at the same time.

And no, I`m not talking about that One Piece of crap known as the 4kids dub. Ewww..

I loved it the first 30 episodes. Then it was okay. At episode 70 I stopped watching.

Same jokes, same story, boring.

But the earlier episodes are great

Are you talking about the dub or the sub?

I`ve only seen a little bit of the sub, but I have read all 400 chapters of the manga. Are you up to par with the Enies Lobbay arc?

Oh COME ON! Episode 70 isn't even into the Arabasta arc! You have NO grounds for calling the story boring and repeatitive where you stopped.

There's a whole FLOOD of AWESOME characters you haven't seen yet (or barely seen): Nico Robin, Chopper, Ace, Crocodile, Mr. 2!, Enel. Just off the top of my head. From where you're at, Movie 2's a good watch too.

K-F's subs are at 175, 3 Specials, and 4 movies, and I'm not even close to tiring of this great series.

Well I used to watch like 8 episodes a day (last summer). Maybe I should give it a try again =|

Well I'm not going to chew you out if it really does bore you, different strokes for different folks and all. On one hand yes it does retain the same "theme", but it's just one of those themes that makes it, for me anyway, worth watching. Kind of like, say a Bruce Timm cartoon (Batman, Superman, Justice League) where it's still bad guys vs good guys. I don't even LIKE Superman as far the whole franchise goes, but I LOVE Bruce Timm's version of the character (I have Volumes 1+2 of Superman on DVD). The stories are so engaging and fun with excellent music, plot, and voice acting.

And the OP movies are worth watching too. It seems to follow a "Star Trek formula" wheras movie 1 is ok, movie 2 is great, movie 3 is ok, and movie 4 is great (my favorite). Movie 4 is the kind of movie you'd show your friends to see what OP is all about without showing them every episode starting at 1.

It's just when you say you've only seen 70 episodes and say it's repeatitive, it's like playing a game for 20 minutes and say there are too many cutscenes.

EDIT: You never mentioned it before, but if you're not it's IMPERITIVE you watch K-F's fansubs. They really add a lot ot the experience.

Who would've thought! I was cracking up; I seriously could not believe that guy's luck and the odds he faces but still prevails (lol). One Piece just keeps surprising the shit out of me, I love every second of it.

Anyway, since this is a One Piece topic, let's get a convo started! Who is your favorite bad guy and why?

Mine, so far has been Crocodile. This guy was just all around badass. The way he looked, acted and sounded in the anime, it was definetley one of the best performances I've seen in a while. And he was in my favorite Arc, so I'm a little biased about that too hehe
