Internet Exporer or Firefox?

I'm not sure if there is a thread like this, but
I was just curious about which was
more popular in the forums... I know some
web pages look different on each one.
Personally I use Firefox because I heard it was
safer.

Well then, I certainly hope you vote for Firefox, because I just did and I'm the only one who has thus far.

...anyway, yeah. I use Firefox, mostly for the countless extensions (of which I only use five) you can add to customize it however you'd like.

Firefox, fo shizzle.

It is safer, though not inherently. By default, it has alot less plugins and less functionality, hence there is less vulnerable code to exploit. It's not as widely used as IE either, so not as many hackers will be out to exploit it. On the other hand, Firefox, Apache, Linux, Thunderbird, among other open source software, are gaining momentum in the IT world and it will be only a matter of time before malicious coders target them in great force.

I use IE, but only because it came on the computer already. Unless there's a huge benefit, I won't waste my time (and space) downloading another program to do the same thing this one does.

And Sasquatch, dude, at least try out other browsers and realize the ancient POS that is IE.

I like tab browsing and RSS Feeds. Also, using Firefox gets me "in" with the "cool" internet people who also use it.

I have both, but use Internet Explorer more. I just don't see the need to use Firefox. I don't really care about tabbed browsing (I don't open up too many extra windows), pop-up blocking isn't much of a concern where I go, etc., etc.

Though, I do use Firefox to fill in the holes that IE cannot. Sometimes IE has trouble downloading large files and stops midway through. Firefox has a nice download manager, so I use it for that. And sometimes I do go through pop-up-infested territory, and Firefox is a bit more potent in that. Uh...Yeah. "Special" situations.

When I'm on a Mac, I use Safari. When I'm on a PC at home, I use Firefox or Maxthon. (Maxthon's like firefox, pretty much. But for "IE".) Though when my mom's on the computer, she uses IE. Bleh.

Heheh, I'm not alone in saying that Firefox PWNS. Occasionally, there's a plug-in or two that's only avaible to IE, but for the most part, Firefox owns.

Firefox is king, IE is the biggest bullshit for me, so no question at all. I cannot work without tabs and I waited like 100 years until they at long last implemented the tab sorting.

Firefox because it's faster a lot and have better protection against viruses and other things. If your firefox is slow, there is a HACK but i have to translate it to English...
