ONE Fighter

Everyone has there picks for favorite lineups, but I went through the entire game with only one fighter.(I killed off 3 white mages before I did anything else) It was very annoying at times, but as fast as you level up you become a god. Give it a try, but be patient, the Ice Cave and a few others can be very unnerving.

you think that's hard - try doing it with one white mage. yeah, that's right. there's an FAQ for it somewhere - yeah, someone actually did it. mad props.

One Fighter

I tried a Black Belt once, but gave up about half way through. I don't know who pulled it off with a white mage, but that takes some serious determination. My hats off to whoever pulled that off!

Omega has levelled up - (lv 1)
Well one fighter wouldn't be so bad, neither would one monk, one white mage is insane but not with the masumune.

Every character regardless of who you think is the strongest has inherant strengths associative with there class. For example you may think the White Mage not physically strong, but even a WM can be strong with the Masamune. Plus they also can set up an incredible defense with Ruse for physical attacks or any of the Nul-spells to inhibit the elemental damage. They also will have 99 potions and full sets of Cure spells within there arsenal to use as well. Ironically with a White Mage I bet the whole game is challenging until you get the Masamune, then you've got it made.

Easiest one would be the Thief, if I remember correctly he still can get the Fast spell and that opens up whoop ass on all his toughest foes.

I'll never try SCC's, I think they are all about bragging rights and it's just not interesting to me, I like group activities, therefore I like a whole party and not just one guy. I'm a really good gamer, so I don't doubt I could do, but even if I could I wouldn't enjoy it and get bored very fast.

I've always seen SCC's as simply another option of playing, finding a new way so to speak. They are also exercises in frustration. I've never completed one on any game, ever. I guess I just don't have the patience.

Can you tell is it hard to clear the game only with one fighter...?

One Fighter

It's fairly difficult in the early game, depending on how much you level up. Beating Lich one on one is tough no matter what, Astos can be more annoying than tough since he loves to use the Rub spell, and the Vampire can paralyze you and kill you without getting a turn. But once you get the canoe the game opens up for you to get some of the better weapons and fight things that are worth more and aren't so tough
With a little time it can be fun. It makes some of the more simple parts of the game tougher, anything thing that paralyzes you can make for a long fight. I had to go through the last part of the game numerous times before I finally beat Chaos, but I think it was worth it. I know some don't like the idea of using less than the full group, but for those who love the game it offers a different angle to try out. I am currently playing the game with a thief and a white mage, and it's fun and so far even more frustrating than the one fighter. Give it a try, if you like the game and know the in's and out's to help yourself it's a fun challenge.
