Your favourite guitar lick (or solo...whatever in particular)
The title should explain it all - any particular guitar pieces you're especially fond of? Right now, I'm pretty fond of the duet solo in Bat Country. Primarily because myself and a friend are doing it for a music performance assessment at school.
This thread is primarily aimed towards guitar players, but if theres some 20 minutes drum solo you particularly like (or oboe solo...anything, really), feel free to post it.

LOL. Good thread, Jack.
I myself, am quite fond of the solo t the end of A7x's 'Second Heratbeat'. I also really like pretty much every Trivium solo, from all of their songs. They are so awesome =_=

2 solo's i realy like.
The Beatles - Something. The lick at the start and the solo. Both are very classic and very awesome. Joe Satriani - Surfing With the Alien - Another outstanding song by Joe, thus making it awesome to boot. |

I absolutely adore the main riff (it's the octave part) of Buckethead and Serj Tankian's We are One (from the Masters of Horror Soundtrack).
Other than that, Yngwie Malmsteen's Arpeggios from Hell. Little known fact, that guy can shred. Awesomely. |

I love the guitar solo from hide in X-Japan during their song "Orgasm" cause I swear he had a hidden 6th finger somewhere

The Ballad of John and Yoko - The Beatles. It has some very nice lead notes at the end of each lyrical line, really country, really adds to the drabbiness of the other instruments.

I love the beginning of Sweet Child O' Mine by Guns n' Roses. It's such an awesome riff. Also the ending solo of November Rain is amazing. I love it. I love a lot of Slash's solos.

I'd have to go with Living Loving Maid, by Zeppelin. I just think it's sounds awesome. Especially the way the beat carries it too.

There is this song called Wolf and Raven by Sonata Artica, it is like going nato on their instruments throughout the whole song, also I enjoy the guitaring from the Band Dawn, particulary the Slaughtersun album, (which is also 1 of my favourite albums of alltime)
