have anyone read this book? in my opinion it is the best book of war ever! I am currently reading it and for me it is one of the strongest books i have ever heard and it relies in what we call, Companionship. Any opinions about this book? Do u liked it?

i read it back in high school, and yes - it was completely blown away by it. i remember thinking "awww man, some stupid war book - i don't give a shit" when i found out we had to read it. i was surprised to find out that not only was it truly at it's core an anti-war novel, but that it was told from the side of the germans in world war I. i read it like 5 years ago so i'm foggy on the details at this point - but yeah, i really really dug it.
