Oh by the way i had to look advent up. Apparently it means the coming of something very big and important. So Advent Children means the arrival of important children. At least I believe that's what it means.

Well your right on that, But it does not exactly “MEAN” the arrival of Christ. That’s just in the Christian religion with means “The coming of Jesus at the Incarnation”. But other than that Advent just means the arrival of something important.

Actually, I thought that Advent meant the second coming of something. Also, it seems that three things are similar to the Christ part. I read somewhere that the Trinity could be found in the move, or something similar to it. Jenova being the father(or mother), Sephiroth being...well, he's coming back again or so it seems from the images, and Geostigma being the spirit.

It does indeed mean the 'second coming', depending on what you're talking about, but in this case it doesn't mean Christ. i think the advent part clearly states the second burden that is placed on cloud and his group revolving around the jenova crisis, and the main point of the film is to rescue the children from geostigma that now plagues the world. hense you have... advent children.
