Yuki was sitting silently infront of the water with a stick. Drawing it forth and back. Forth and back. He smelled something soon would happened, and his senses were'nt wrong often. He drew his cord and started forthing and backing it instead. If he got caught behind his back and attack while he was holding a wood stick he was done for. He waited and waited. And there it was, the enemy.
"Who comes there?"

OOC (Ahh, fair dues. Didn't know there was a no signature rule in effect on these boards. Must've glazed over that one, pity. Anyways...shall we begin? My ABB...er...character statistics is up and posted after yours.)

His answer comes swift and cold as a blue norther.

"Me!"

The water before him explodes, droplets flying into the air in every direction as a dark figure decends from the heavens. A black, shimmering, semi-transparent aura of graviational energy cascades in little sparks in a sphere around the figures form, lashing out to play with the droplets and hold them suspended in the air like miniature aquatic worlds.

Not a single drop reaches Yuki, nor does a drop fall back to join the waters now slightly quivering surface. The small pond, surrounded by forest, lights up with a disquieting dark glow of its own as though the pond extends into an unfathomable abyss. In truth, it is merely reflecting the floating figures true nature.

The water droplets begin to orbit the figure gently, and the gravitational statis subsides just enough that features can finally be made out in that dark form. A creature exceedingly tall with a palor as white as bone glares down at Yuki from behind two strands of long white hair...the rest of which is short cropped and spiked.

Clothed all in darkness, he wears a long chainlink trench cloak, laced with white trimming and bound by thick black straps that bind the affair across a bare and smooth chest. Bare, that is, safe for a shimmering silver ankh that dangles fro ma chain around his neck. The rest of his clothing is rather none descript...black baggy pants and black boots that seem strangle to have nails driven points out all over them.

His left arm, bound in a silver gauntlet, rises up and passes through his silvery hair as his black lips part in a razor toothed smile. In his right hand he holds the hilt of a massive kris bladed long sword, the guard of which seems to be little more than a crude horned skull. It's empty eye sockets glitter with a crimson glow from the materia that has been slotted within...a similar gleam comes from the pummel of the weapon. The blade itself snakes a full seven feet long, a dull crimson aura seems to caress the blade.

Yet with all this, it is his eyes that draw the most attention. Black pits are they, with twined shining stars gleaming in their depths. The black tattoo of an ankh briefly pulses the same light before dying down again. The figure speaks.

"Well its been a LONG, LONG time since I've ventured out of my territory. Care for a little sport? I do sometimes require a little exercise to work up an appetite for destruction, so I think a sparing match may be in order."

He decends without moving a muscle. The gravitational energy barrier crackles away from his body and instead spreads outwards, forcing the water in the pond to wash into the forest itself, flooding the dry land and leaving the pond itself drained. A foul stink of rotting vegitation and flopping, happless aquatic creatures greets the Anomalist as his boots sink into the muddy silt. He cocks his head at the youth, still grinning, and gestures for him to join him.

"Come on..."

- OOC: You'r character can be godish, but he isn't immortal. I have a 50% of taking him down ya' know -

"Blah...how boring. I've killed arrogant idiots like you before. And I don't like you. So time for you to die!"
Yuki drew his sword up from the ground. It was wet after he had played with it in the water. He blowed some air at the corde to dry it out.
He waved it a couple' of times against the arrogant man who wanted to fight him.
"Time to die"
Just to test him out he was gonna slash wildly at him to see how he blocked.
So he did that. He ran at the attacker while slashing wildly.

OCC - I have the regretable task of informing you that my powers have been severly restricted in order to fight you, or indeed fight at these forums. You haven't seen the birth of god, but maybe one day you'll be strong enough to take the challenge. As it stands though, you do have a chance of harming me...and I LOVE a challenge. Lets see what you can do with your 50%! >D

The Anomalist holds his ground firm as he listens to the young man in blue. So it seemed this was going to be a battle of blades. Well Anomaly was very much at home with that, and indeed, with being viewed as arrogant as well. People just seemed to fail to grasp that not arrogance is unwarrented. Sometimes a person is only confident because they really DO know they're extremely skilled. But oh well, even maggots could be full of selve importance...so be it.

"Aww, you don't like me? You don't even know me!"

Anomaly assumes a wider stance as the young man charges him, scaring the mud beneath his feet, but he secures a grip in the treacherous soil. At the first flash of his enemies blade, the Blood reaver snakes out to meet at as though it had a mind of its own. Indeed, Oketsu was having a little fun at this point and Anomaly was just along for the ride, his arm contourting strangly to allow the blade full movement.

His opponents attacks were slovenly and wild. More than once the dark robed figure believed that his enemies sword would rebound from the force of being blocked and the young mans own ungainly use and he would slice himself open on his own blade. Though the strokes were wild, this didn't seem to happen, and it was while the Blood Reaver was contourting into a complex series of figure eights, that a sword that large should not POSSIBLEY be able to do no matter how strong or skilled its weilder is, that Anomaly realized the young man wasn't even trying yet. This would simpley NOT do.

In a flash, weaving between the blades without care of being struck, Anomaly's gauntletted arm lashes out. He doesn't strike at Yuki, but instead wraps his silver talons around his enemies blade and attempts to hold it fast. Smiling into the young boys face, Anomaly chuckles.

"Tell you what...why don't we get to know each other before I wipe you from existance? My names Anomaly! Whats yours!?"

With only that for warning the Blood Reaver gives an audible roar and pounces like a wild animal on the blue armored figure. Not nearly as wild as the previous gambit, these strikes are precises and it can easily be seen that they are being made by the Anomalist insteado the blade. He strikes at the vlnerable places in the armor, not really seeking anything vital, but aiming to cause Yuki as much discomfort as possible while he's distracted by the question.

"Well, my name is *Screech*"
The strange attacker had someway lured of to speak. This was no honour guy who stopped to talk without attacking. He was just there to kill him, and inflict as much pain as he could in the progress. At least it seemed like that from Yuki's point of view. While he had been speaking, the attacker had hit him hard sending him several feet over to the east. He crashed into a tree, screaming when the impact happened. The bones hit directly into the tree, making them nearly crush of the pressure. What kind of warrior had this kind of powers. Even though he didn't break anything the tree had some sharp sticks, sticking out everywhere cutting up Yuki's skin and making the scarlet blood fall to the ground.

"You'll pay for that you bastard!"
Yuki was starting to think he was a little arrogant himself, since he thought he allready had won before he stroke against the attacker. This wasn't some game. He could be dead before the moon showed itself. He carefully put the pawns of his hand to the ground and pushed himself up while using the tree to help. Because of the sharp knots sticking out, he scarred the skin even more. This would take ages to heal fully. He had to finish this fast.
"The Cheese teqnique"
"What?" screamed the attacker from the other world.
He had done something similar to a girl he had fought before. He was gonna crush the attackers hand completely so he couldn't use his so-called ``Soul Reaper``.

Quickly, Yuki managed to jump up at a nearby tree. He morphed a cheese in his hand and threw at the attacker.
The attacer was now completely confused. The next second Yuki jumped to the next tree morphing one more cheese, he reapeted this 8 times. While the attacker was brushing all the cheese of his face he took the chance to strike. Quickly he ran against the back of the attacker with the sword infront of him. He was gonna completely stab through his arm with the corde.

OOC - Just a small request. I know by usual standards taking over some other characters reaction is consdiered alright... but I'd appreciate it in the future if you didn't list my characters specific reactions. Mainly the 'what!?' comment could've been done without. I get it that the comment and subsequent attack is meant to be confusing, but don't assume automatically thats how my character would react. When Mine asked your character his name he could've answered or he could've made an attack of his own instead. I left plenty of leeway for you to do either...I'd appreciate the same courtesy, if its not too much trouble.

Anomaly was suprised his enemy flew back so easily. Not that it wasn't the usual outcome, it just felt too easy. He half expected it to be a trick until he smelled the blood. No...there wasn't that much power here...what there was seemed to be mostly raw and untapped. Pity, but it could still be fun.

Thats when his enemy jumped up a tree shouting something about cheese. It wasn't long after that a hunk smacked him in the face.

RIGHT then...maybe this WAS a bad idea...

With one clawed hand he wiped away the cheese only to find another flying at him from another direction. This time the Blood Reaver intercepted it and sent it rebounding in another direction. This continued a further seven times. This allowed Anomaly to keep track of his opponent thanks to the trajectory of the throws. So while he might have his back to where his enemy was when he heard him land back on the ground and rush at him, he knew exactly where he was coming from. Even without the tell tell sound and the geometry of cheese, the blood of his enemy would've given him away anyways. The smell of a good meal was hard to miss.

As his enemy closed on him, the Anomalist gave a sharp pulse of his black wings. He rose into the air in a single bound, leaving his enemy in a cloud of dust and mud kicked up from his accent. Performing a mid air flip Anomaly falls back down to earth blade first in an attempt to split his enemies head clean in two with a decending strike.

Yuki was surprised, no one had ever dodged his attack like that. He jumped backward but the slice got his foot slicing up his whole ankle. Before he fell to the ground, a lot of blood had already reached the spot he was lying on.
"Aw..that hurts!"
He got up, jumped a little before he reached a tree, he could lye on.
He picked one of leafs surronding the tree and quickly stopped the bleeding.
He ran at the attacker cutting against his chest by all his might. If he dodged this he was truly a god(modder XD).

OOC - I only dodged in the last post. I think its legal to block and parry blows with my weapon if I see them coming. And who wouldn't see a sword or a peice of cheese? Make a good attack and it'll strike true. But tell you what...I'll take this attack if it'll make you feel better.

Anomaly had kind of wanted to slice the boys head open. He wanted to see just how large the brain was of a person that used cheese as an offensive weapon. Unfortunately the brat certainly had speed on his side, if nothing else. Well, maybe not quiet enough. The Blood Reaver shakes slightly after the taste of first blood, drawing the little stain on the ground up into itself in a reversal of droplets. The effect is intoxicating.

Settling back into his original stance, The Anomalist takes a moment to enjoy the sensation. Thats when he feels the sharp pain in his chest.

Hmm...really is VERY fast.

The blade didn't do much damage, chainmail links and armored bands are not easily penetrated by a wild slash. A true and direct thrust would've been a problem, or even a defiend upward sweep...but as things stood there was only a slight red welt across Anomaly's otherwise faultless chest. He looks down and dabs his fingers on the scratch and raises his fingers to his lips. A black tongue slides out and licks the red fluid up as he looks at the little blue speed demon. He hadn't even registered the sheer FORCE of the blow, even though the furrows in the mud where he was pushed back were readily apprent.

"If this is all you got, you're in serious trouble kid."

He raises his left arm, the silver claws spread to open and reveal the palm. A glowing crimson jewel slides into view from beneath a silvery eyelid. It shimmers gently as black lightning courses down the length of the arm. When it reaches the jewel, it changes form and turns into a small ball. The ball collapses onto itself and reforms into a swelling orb of purple and black energy. As it expands more gravitational energy is refocused into the Graviball so that one can physically feel it repel the air around it away in all directions. This is an Anti-Graviball, one that instead of hurting its enemy by drawing it in and crushing it, repels it and sends them hurteling instead.

With a blood stained grin Anomaly launches the spell at close range right at Yuki's chest.

The spell went straight against Yuki, he threw himself at the left side, barerly dodging the spell, which went straight into a tree and smashed it completly. What was that? Mere seconds went past before Yuki realized he had jumped off a cliff, the ground was getting closer, and closer. Then he remembered a ability he had learned a long time ago. It was a speed ability. Well, you didn't quite dissappere, but it consisted in loading so much energy that the opponent didn't see you, and 3 seconds later you could be behind his back without even him realizing it. So he loaded the attack and ran for it. Up the cliff and behind the attacker, 3 seconds later he was behind the opponents head, he drew his corde and prepared to stab him right trough the middle of his head, if this wanna-be god didn't do anything in about 2,3 seconds he would be dead.

OOC - Not much of an amendment. But if you're going to get serious then its about time I did too.

The Eye of Kalibas tracked the movement. It was far too quick for even Anomaly's eyes to follow, but the Eye saw with perfect sight and relayed its information to its master. It was sent with such seering urgency that the back of the Anomalists head ached.

He swiflty sheaths his blade between his wings. As Yuki's sword flashes through the air, it encounters the Blood Reavers gaurd instead of the back of the Anomalists head. Anomaly does not wait for Yuki to attempt a second assault so instead, with a pulse of his wings, he rockets forward through the forest and out over the edge of the cliff side.

Far out over the edge, the Anomalist turns back towards Yuki.

"Alright you speedy little b@stard, lets see if you can dodge THIS!"

A blanket of gravitational energy spreads out from the Astromancers hands, ceasing on the very trees of the forest. Their roots grown as they are ripped clean of the ground, chunks of earth clinging to them like moss. They rise up, only briefly, then all slam at once from all sides right to where Yuki stands when Anomaly draws both of his hands together into fists.

Yuki almost felt into a burst of laughter. Unfortantly that would be the death of him, so he didn't do that. This was pie to dodge. He used his speed attack ending up behind the attacker. Suddenly the gravitation attack hit the ground. The pressure was large, Yuki was sent into some stones almost ripping of his back.
Aw..shit..what was that for?
He got up used his speedattack, he got right behind the attacker morphed a cheese and smashed into his head. While the wanna-be God was confused, he drew his corde to chop of his head, once and for all.

[Anomaly]

Every move his enemy made was childs play to follow at this point without the Reaver in his hand. As the trees splinter into nothingness he lets the Eye do all the work. Anomaly flies upwards, dodging his enemies paltry attempt at an attack, and continues ot gain altitude until the forest and cliff edge are far, far below. No matter HOW fast his enemy is, running in open air just doesn't work. Gravity always wins THAT battle, in the end.

But just to be on the safe side, the Anomalist extended his gravitational shield...a sphere that would rip apart anything that even got remotely close to him, and send it flying. The shield starts as little more than a crackling of black energy moving across his body, and then slowly expands in to the familiar semi-transparent sphere of energy.

It was a little cheap, but when the enemy thought that stabbing someone in the back was fair play to hell with it. On that note, he watches for his opponents next move. It would've been hard with a normal eye, but he keeps the Eye of Kalibas trained on him, and waits.
