Use Gysahl greens in the areas that say "smells like chocobo" and the Big Chocobo allows you to store/retrieve items.

I just reread your post and it says VI, not IV. If that's a typo and you meant IV, you have the answer here. If not, you're in the wrong forum. And there is no storage place like that in VI.

VI doesn't need a storage place, as there's no practical limit to what you can hold -- other than, you know, only one stack of each item, instead of multiple sets of 99 of one thing like you could do in IV.

But yeah, in IV, there's the Fat/Big Chocobo. There are places he shows up, but you have to have a Carrot/Gysahl to use him, or even to see him. Most (if not all) chocobo forests have a fat Chocobo, and then there's one in the Castle of Dwarves, on the Big Whale...and I'm sure a couple more.

The Whistle item calls one for you -- like if you're in the middle of a dungeon or something -- but they're pertty expensive.

Well what both previous posters have said is true, I have a question in regards to this, because I simply can't remember. Doesn't the Fat Chocobo have a limit to what he can hold?

I don't need an exact number here, but I'm pretty sure he had a limit of what his fat gut could carry.

I believe he holds the same amount you do. But I'm not quite sure, he might hold more. Either way, it's PLENTY, unless you decide to save every little thing -- meaning, every item that mimics a spell, like Thor Rage, Bacchus, Hour Glass, stuff like that. I usually only keep Bacchus and Hermes.

I've managed to pack that fat bastard with over 50 rows of items before, baring in mind this is on the PSOne make. I highly doubt that they have edited the big guy in ANY of the consoles so - experiment if you really want to.
