Yes, you do not have to get Rinoa at all =) Which would probably cause a few glitches later on in the game, but hey. For that small amount of time, Rinoa you will not have to have Rinoa at all.

Just run and run at the wall to the right of Watts until you get into that room.

Not being a Rinoa hater I can't see the point of this. Plus without getting Rinoa how will you ever get to use Angelo? That dog is an unsung hero.

She was in the room the guy "skipped" into. To me, it just looks like the game would just carry on as normal. Just missing out you going to her room.

Yes, have you actually seen proof that Rinoa is not in your party after this scene?

being as programmer I have a vague idea of how some of the game variables would work, not to say that I can be sure though. Still, I know enough to put a lot of money on the idea that you'd still have Rinoa in your party after this scene.
The only glitch you're really likely to get is that of Rinoa having no name, as you'd miss out on the opportunity to name her.

Still, at uni, I have a file of FFVIII on the go, and I'm just about to go to Timber. I shall test this out some time when I go back.

When you get her latter is she the same level as your people or does she start a like level 15? and also why wouldn't you want to get her it could cause glitches and she is one of my better characters.

This is extremely stupid...Rinoa is a great need for the game to proceed. I always liked Rinoa even if she was annoying, but a lot of chics have their little peeves that annoy me. Doesn't mean I'd hate them for it, though anyway this is also quite useless considering as I mentioned she is needed for the story to continue and also I'm sure not only will it give glitches to the game but may even freeze at one point, in a manner. I mean there are scenes where you meet Rinoa, if she isn't there and it's needed for the story to continue then you're pretty much screwed.

However I am curious with Seph's post. Do you get her later on?

Yeah, this whole thing doesn't make sense to me. How can you play the game without Rinoa? She is part of the main storyline, I don't think she could be out of your party long. She would probably come in later on. I don't believe you could play the whole game without her.

As I said before, you probably only miss going to her room and getting her.

When the supposed glitch happened, she was in the room like she would usually be.

She probably still joins your party at the same time.
