Go to the dinosaur-shaped forest* near Narshe, where you fight Tyrannasaurs and Brachiosaurs. (I don't know the exact names, but something along those lines...) Every once in a while, you can get a Brachiosaur to drop an Economizer. And while you try, you can get a hellovalot of Exp. and MP.
OR...you could bet the Gem Box at the Coliseum. But I wouldn't do that. * From the South, I believe, it looks like the head of an alligator or crocodile, facing East/right, and from the North (from the airship), it looks like a Brachiosaur looking over his shoulder to the left/East. The head and neck of the Brachiosaur would be the lower jaw of the alligator.

Sasquatch is absolutely correct, you can also find 1 or 2 amidst the game if I'm not mistaken. However I do want to say that they make the game incredibly unbalanced and easy and I would suggest not going out of your way to find them, but instead try to beat it without them. You'll probably find the game mildly challenging and alot more fun then just walking right through it.

Are there any that you find in normal gameplay? I didn't think there were, but that the only other way to get one, that I knew of, was to bet the Gem Box at the Coliseum -- which would just be counterproductive.

Well I thought there was. I could be wrong I guess, as I played it a decade ago on SNES, but I swore that there was. However not only is memory an issue here, but also the fact that I used Relm's Sketch ability, and for some reason it messed up my game in the middle of the battle and it gave me all these items for no reason whatsoever. I had like 99 Economizers, 45 Gem Boxes, and a bunch of other shit that I shouldn't have.
I'm wondering if other people ran into that error as well. After the battle I saved the game, and then turned the machine off and on, and I got to keep all the items.

You can steal Economizers from the Aquilas in the Phoenix Cave.
As for the Relm Sketch error, yeh it's a well known glitch in the SNES version, or at least on some of the Cartridges. There's a small chance that it can crash your game and I think corrupt/delete your saves too. =/ |

...except that getting Gogo in your party does NOT give you infinite economizers and a slew of random items. Unless you utilized the Relm Sketch bug, or have an incredibly screwed up cartridge, there is no possible way for that to happen.

It takes a long time, but it's well worth it, if you really want an Economizer to go with your Gem Box.
Not to mention the assload of Experience and MP you get fighting there.

Brachiosaur is pretty tough to beat, but he seemed to drop Economizer for me several times. Just make sure to save often while you're leveling in that forest, because you can die if your levels aren't very high.

There is a better way in Uk Version. Go to The cave where the Red Dragon is, until you encounter a bird type enemy. steal from it and you will recieve economiser's, there a really common steal and is how I did it. Dont do Brachiosauras's too tough.

I didn't think Brachiousaur was that tough, just as long as someone with you knows Vanish and Doom / X-Zone. Yeah, I got a ton of Economizers from leveling up in the dino forest or wherever.
