Sony Releasing New FFXII PS2 Package
With the release of Final Fantasy XII dawning in Japan (3/16/06), Sony has developed a solid way to help promote the new game, a new charcoal black FFXII console bundle. Link to picture is below:

The new pack (SCPH-75000FF) will include everything you will need for the game (PS2 hardware, Final Fantasy XII, one Dual Shock controller, AV cables, AC adapter, and a limited edition cell phone strap). Thats pretty sharp. If I didnt already have one, I'd be all over that like flies on feces. I'm pretty sure they'll sell a ton of those to fanboys regardless.

I don't think I'd buy one, to be honest. I mean, yeah, I love the FF series, but buying another console strictly for the FF stuff on it? A little insane...
I have one of the older model PS2's and it's been acting up on me, so if it starts to really screw up and that PS2 is around, I'd buy it (granted it didn't cost a fortune).

It certainly looks interesting. Although, the prices for special consoles (whether with games or not) is usually quite high, so i think i'll wait to see if it has a UK release and then see if it really is worth the money. Then again, my PS2 is black anyway(which is close enough to charcoal in my opinion)!

That is pretty neat looking. That thing is probly going to be in the 200-250 dollar rang. I want to get the new FF. So I guess I am going to have to buy it. My PS2 isn't working right anyways.
I am going to check and see what Japans pric ratings are, and then I could probly figure out what the US prices are going to be.

It's nice, but lets be honest the only difference between this and a regular black slimline ps2 is the box it comes in and the graphic on the disc lid. Why not just sell a ff12 vinyl or even a replacement disc lid that the user could fit themselves? Square would sell more and we wouldn't have to fork out as much money for them!!
