FF2 problem?

ok, i have the ff2 dawn of souls version, and whenever i finish a battle, even when i used my weapons, the weapons skill level does not increase at all. and there only on level 3 and 4. help.

Chances are they are increasing in Exp, just not lvl's yet, keep trying and you they will lvl up. Just make sure you keep using the weapons, they gain Exp by the hit, not by the battle.

Otherwise, there is something wrong with the game, but i dont think that is the case.

no, this is after many many battles. even when i hit someone a bunch of times, the skill level bar in the status menu doesnt budge. i seriously think something is wrong with the game.

i dont think it moves becuase its gaining a lot of experience for that weapon and the bar just cant show all that... i dunno????

If i remember correctly they do level up but it doesnt show... the max is 16:99 on the Origins version

Because in the Origins version, you see the values on the screen. Anyway, it depends on where you are in the game. It might be the case that weak weapons only allow you to go at a certain level. This sounds semi-logic, because if someone were to train to Lv. 16 right from the start, the game would be nothing.

If you ARE far in the game, then I do think you've encountered a glitch. But I don't think that could've happened. At least...I hope not.

i used to have the same problem, im not sure what causes it but switch to a diferent weapon for a while and when you go back to the one your trying to level up it should work

honestly don't even worry about it - it's not going to matter in the end. your HP, MP, and magic levels are the only things you really need to be watching when you're building up your stats.

Try this...

Go the battle with both hands have shields. Keep your hp up and fight about 50 rounds. And when you want stop the fight equip weapon and kill enemy your all most every stat will grow.

i equiped the same weopon in both hands when that happened to me it helped alought

It's probably because the enemies you're fighting are too weak. Try moving on to the next area, the enemies will get tougher.
