DoC Battle ~ Martial ways!!

<~ OOC: Welcome to the second official DoC battle starring FFsaiya-jin and Dark Angel. The two players both chose to be a Monk and could prove to be a very interesting match. I've decided to let Dark Angel have the first turn, because FF Saiyan has more experience in RPBing.

Note to the combatants: Make sure to introduce your characters in your first post. So the first post is never an attack, as stated in the official DoC thread. Now, I want a good clean fight, no low blows and no pulling hairs. Let's get it on! ~>

Fenii was glad to see that his idea was becoming popular amongst the people and because of that, he had hired multiple people where people could gather a card out of the renown Deck. One of those people went to the Northern Market in Terra to advertise Fenii's project: "People, people!" Standing in the crowd, the hired messenger received no response: "People!! I come on behalf of Sir Fenii..." Suddenly the folks were all ears.

The messenger was glad this worked: "*Phew* People, your leader has asked me to make the Deck of Cards even more known amongst you and..." The man was interrupted by a young lad: "Ow, the Deck of Cards!? I've heard of that!! Do you have some on you right now? If so, I wish to draw the Club!!" The messenger heard the lads request and threw a Club card in the air. The card responded and out of it, came a Monk...

The people in the Terra market were shocked in awe when the monk appeared out from within the card of clubs. The monk wore mainly purple and had long black hair pulled back into a red ribbon.

"So, is it a fight you want? or do you just want to test the powers of those who advertise these cards of Fenii's."

"A little bit of both"the young lad smiled.

the crowd stepped back, forming a circle with the man and the young lad at opposite ends, watching each other...when the young lad pulls out another card-CLUBS!!! clubs, the card that symbolizes the monk! the man smiled.

"you know, your worst enemy is yourself"the man grinned.

"i never knew that,"the boy threw the card as it turned into a monk. "lets test that theory!"

As the young man transformed into a powerful monk by drawing one of the mystical cards, the people's faces were brought up with emotion. Many were surprised to see fight two of the same category, as it has never happened before in the Deck of Cards phenomenon.

At the other side of the purple-wearing monk stood a well-built young man. His unusual dark blue eyes always focusing of his primary target, Clubs, piercing thought his opponent's soul trying to demoralize him and to force him into running away, scared, escaping his undoubtful death. His clothes, moving accordingly to the strong wind that covered the surroundings, strikingly resembled that of his opponent's. The one thing that was oddly out of place was the cloth colors and the red bandana that, even if they were of the same color, was tightly placed on his forehead. He had short dark hair, and the color of his gi was of a dark color, almost indistinguishable from black and dark blue.

As he firmly stood up his pride followed suit. A fighting beast that only knows one nature, to fight. He thoroughly believes that the perfect way to engage an opponent and win successfully is by the power of the fist, the fist that enters the face with a hundred pound force that destroy what touches on impact and leaves nothing but blood as it exits on the other side.

"We have the same name, the same profession, the same height, the same weight. There is no advantage, no disadvantage, only skill. We will see today that skill is what makes a warrior."

After the young warrior finished with his words he closed his fists and pressed them tightly. Then he moved his right leg forty-five degrees in a southeast direction from his left leg, and at the same time bending the knees just a little and enter into a fighting stance. His fists were by his chest's height protecting his upper body and at the same time close enough to the front to act as quickly as possible on any move done by both warriors.

"All right, make the first move. Show me what you got."

<~ OOC: That is nicely done and a pretty good intro. Just bare in mind that each warrior IS unique, and has their own name. I advise you to post his name in your next post, seeing it isn't of major improtance right now. Now gents, let's get it ooooon!! ~>

The man had to think carefully about this, both of the cards were the same, but unique in there own ways. if he were to somehow play with his opponents fighting style, tiring his opponent out from blowing punches and such, also keeping his distance while his monk (uh...im gonna name his monk Hikaru) attacks.

"make your move old man!!!"demanded the young boy.

"dont be so rude to your elders, because your going to be punished by the gods!"

*what a loser*the young lad muttered under his breath.

the man had an angry look in his eye--"ARIAL ATTACK!......."

((OOC: I'm gonna be on Inferno Mage mode for a sec. Just some helpful tips:

-When you make an attack describe how that attack was made, what did you used to attack(ex: hands, sword, spear, etc.), if its important for you from what direction, try to be more descriptive. It's necessary for your opponent to know what is coming towards hiim/her so they know what to do.

-When you say that my character said something, and maybe I'm nitpicking too much, for that second you controled my char. for now people may let you make the other character say something but a LOT of people don't like that, maybe your style is more RP based because in RP's you can, but it's more on the "no" on the RPB's.

-And don't worry, we all have to start from somewhere. ))

<~ OOC: He does have a point there. The rules of RPBing state that you may not control another character. Also, try to describe your attack better. What am I supposed to imagine, if I read: Arial attack. Well, of course, an arial attack. But what kind of arial attack? With his right arm? With his left leg? With his forehead?

So, let's pretend this strange incident didn't happen and give Dark Angel another chance. Saiyan is right that everyone has to start somewhere, and this is the best spot. Now, Dark Angel, I want you to post your previous move again, only now a bit more detailed, so that it's more soothing for the reader

WAH!!! this is my first time doing this!!!!!
Areal attack-jumps up in the air at lightning speed and dives down with a kick that usually does a blow into the face.

<~ OOC: Well, that's good enough for now. At least to continue on. If you have some trouble with describing the moves, feel free to watch how other people do it. This doesn't mean you should copy their style or anything, just think of it as inspiration. And don't think I'm picking on you. I know your new to RPBing and I'm here to help, not to be a jerk.

((OOC: Sorry about the delay there, my DSL sucks mayor ass ))

Club saw his opponent leap into the air at an amazing speed, leaving a small cloud of dust from the power behind the jump, but because the wind was blowing against him the cloud came towards him so he had to act fast. Since Hikaru attacked from the air he doesn't have much room to move. Knowing that, Club sprinted forward piercing the cloud of dust and coming out at the other side of the dust cloud he stopped. He moved back a few meters just so when Hikaru lands Club would face his opponent's backside.

As Hikaru attacked the ground with incredible force a very thick cloud of dust appeared on the site. Club had an idea, but again because of the wind it never came to be. But another idea came up to his head, why not create the diversion himself.

After his opponent regained his composure Club started channeling his inner energy around his hands, bringing both of them forward like if he was going to release some sort of projectile attack of some sort. But that wasn’t the case, Club targeted the ground in front of him with a force that seemed invisible to the normal human eye, but it was still a force that could do some damage. Because that force was very powerful it created a very large cloud, more or less about the size of a house, of dust and little chunks of rocks. Because the wind was blowing so strongly to Club’s favor, the cloud reached Hikaru very rapidly, creating a blinding diversion that will make his opponent very vulnerable to an attack.

Now with a clear advantage and without any hesitation Club sprinted ferociously toward his opponent. The young warrior had already locked on with his eyes on Hikaru’s position so he would know where to attack. He reached the cloud of dust just seconds after commencing the attack. When he reached his target Club launched a flurry of punches directed towards the torso and some towards the head and finishing with a powerful kick from his right leg hoping that it will connect his opponent's left side of the ribs area.

<~ OOC: Okay, okay. Nice move. You know what I like about the Monks characters? They have extreme stamina, and they're not sissies They can keep standing until a dramatic point in the battle. Right now, all you did was evade and kick someone in the ribs, which I think would be rather painful. It's nice and I also want to see something nice from Dark Angel, you know, to make up for earlier ~>

Hikaru's thoughts were racing through his head as Club(is that his name, right?) punches were nonstop. "What would his next move be? Where would he hit me?" it wasn't until a single move gave away Club's next move, the position of his feet, his stance...Club was going deliver a blow, but where?

but before Club could finish the final blow, Hikaru was able to sieze Club's right leg with his left hand and deliver a powerful kick to his opponent's back, sending him into the air then planting his face into the ground with his right hand.....

<~ OOC: This is gonna be a stinker...

First of all, Saiyan only stated he kicked and punched toward you. Those are just 2 attacks.

So that ^ is not right. Please try to pay close attention to your opponents posts. That way you can counter them in the best ways possible.

And then you state that you throw him in the air after giving him a kick in the back and then you smash his face in to the ground... I know I said that Monks have excellent stamina, but even a giant wouldn't stand up after this. You may not say that an attack hit. It's kinda hard to explain, but what you've done is called godmoding. It's not a serious form of it, but it tempers with Saiyan's post.

What you might want to do is state that that is what you are PLANNING. So if the one attack worked, you can say: "Once Hikaru managed to deliver his kick succesfully, he would leave little space for his opponent to recover. Hikaru was trained in this and knew how to create a beautiful combination out of this. A kick in Clubs back would send him airborne, giving Hikaru the opportunity to finish his move by planting his opponents face into the ground."

You get what I mean? If you just take more care of your posts, you'll be fine. You're on the right path and I hope to see something nice in your next post.

For the comfort, and for the fact that we can't continue with a godmoded post, we shall use the orange highlighted text. One small request from Saiyan: Don't go too rough on him. You are the more experienced one here, and in order for him to learn, he must see a few chances created by your posts. Well, I figured you were already planning to do that, but just a reminder.
