World Map music?

I love the world music in this game, but I'm not too sure what it is called. I don't want to download the entire OST to find it either. Any help?

I'll gladly help you with that problem. The song you're looking for is on Disc 1 of the OST and is called "Crossing those hills". It's Track #25 and I too find it a very nice song. Very relaxing and suithing. Anyway, to save you any further fuss, here's a link to the song: Crossing those Hills.

Hey, nothing wrong with buying music. Sadly, alot of these soundtracks are way overpriced or used (if you hit up Amazon.com).

Oh, and never go to Suncoast for anything. They have soundtracks for games, but way too expensive.

For each volume of Fullmetal Alchemist and Elfen Lied, you'll be forking out $30+.

It's sickening.

Yea, I've bought the FFVIII OST from amazon, and the booklets were used. I'll probably just use that website you showed in a thread, its got quite a bit of content.

I thought the Beatrix theme rocked

I think its called Mystery Sword or something like that. Freyas theme was kinda depressing sometimes but really moved me during the game^^

Crossing those Hills? I always though it was "Crossing the Knoll".

But I guess, not too many people know what a "knoll" is. The overworld music from Disc 4 is pretty good too. Nice and chilling.

If you're looking for some hype tracks, I suggest getting "Burmecian Kingdom". I'm not sure that too many people remember this one, due to the lack of really needing to return to Burmecia after the end of Disc 1, but it's really a "sleeper hit", if you will. Freya's Theme + Pipe Organ + Choir Oohs Ahhs and Doos (for those of you familiar with GM soundsets.

Yes, trust Dauragon on his opinion here. Burmecian Kingdom is one of the most emotionally moving orchestral pieces I've ever heard in a videogame. Quite seriously Nobuo's best piece, if you ask me. It's very cryptic, in a sense. Chilling, and absolutely perfect for the moment. Of course, you've played FFIX, so I don't have to tell you that.

I totally agree with that. I just love turning on the game and listening to it. It could just as well give you nirvana.
