which charicter is the best

If you could only have one charicter on Final Fantasy 1 what would it be I would pick the Black Mage for all his cool black magic who would you pick?

I think I would like to be the Black Mage because he has the best magic spells. The white mage is pretty cool too since he has the healing powers. They're all cool.

at the moment i am going through the origins vversion and the monk at level 21 is doingup to and over 400 damage, i just finished the bit at the marsh cave and i find that really useful so i choose monk!!!

put me with a good old fashioned knight. equip the best armor, swing around the Xcalber and woop butt with the highest HP and attack in the game. level 4 white magic is a plus

the ninja is a weaker but faster version of the Knight. who uses up to level 6 black magic

and depending on how you use the black belt/master you can have a higher absorb rate than a knight and do ridiculous damage. you just need to know how to train him.

obviously the black mage is the greatest thing to ever happen to video games. just the pure aesthetics of his sprites are all you need to know. the mystery of those glowing eyes - the absence of a face, that brown hair when he falls over dead, that hat, that massive blue robe - perfection, pure 8-bit perfection!!!!

I'd have to concur with Lord Grimsword and go with the Monk/Master/BlackBelt. He's such a hardass by the end of the game. I mean, sure he takes a lot of damage, but that doesn't really matter if you're killing everything before it can even hit you, now does it?

I'd have to say the Black Mage would be the best. The skills they have seem to come in handy very much, and the abilities of power that you gain get better and better through the whole game.

I can't pick just one. I need two to make much damage. First one what I need is Black Mage/Wizard and second is Monk/Master/Black-Belt.

Black Mage/Wizard will cast Haste to Master and then all the time Temper to Master. With this you can get Master hit easily hit about 7000.
