Firefox 1.5

On my system it seems to be faster, more extensions are compatible with it, and overall it just seems to be a lot better than 1.0


So who uses Firefox? What exentions and themes do you use with it?

I have the Gmail Notifier installed, which pops up a window in Firefox when you get a new email via your gmail account.

Adblock, which blocks inline frames, images, and flash files on website at your choosing.

IE View Lite, which lets you right click on any page and click "View this page in IE" to open IE and browse to that exact URL, great for viewing sites that aren't very Firefox friendly.

Themes I use are Noia 2.0 and Phoenity, currently Phoenity.

I use Firefox, strange considering I am one of MS's biggest lap dogs. I made the convert to Mozilla over two years ago and about a year and a half ago I made the convert to Firefox. It's played a critical role in keeping my system spyware free (though I also use Spyblaster, Spybot, Ad-aware, and MS Anti-Spyware Beta).

I'm using the latest FireFox. Probably 1.5. I don't really use any themes. But as far as extensions go...

CountdownClock, A weather plugin, Foxtunes, and that's about it. I have more, but those three are the ones I use.

It prevents all that spyware from happening, so I rarely get any at all. My mom uses IE, so I think that would be the only time I get a little spyware if any. I only have Spybot S&D, and Adaware. Spyware Blaster never really did anything for me. And MS Anti-Spyware just plain sucks anyway.

Update:
Apparently I was using 1.0.7. So I installed 1.5 and downloaded some themes and extension updates.
So now the only extensions I'm using are FoxyTunes, CountdownClock, WeatherFox(meh, I don't know its real name, haha.) and DownloadBar.
The current themes I have installed are BlackJapan and PitchDark.
Current one in use is PitchDark. Though their Tools>Options isn't done yet.

It didn't delete them, they just didn't transfer over with the new version. If you were to downgrade they'd still be there. =\

Yeah, I forgot about all of those search engines. I had a Boxtorrents one, but forgot about it. Heh. I always go to boxtorrents.com and search there.

Awesome! Thanks Shawn! One feature (or specifically an extension) I was waiting for was an extension which lets you sort your downloads based by site. As far as I see (still have to download and install it), doesn't seem like they added too much.

Anyway the extensions I have:

Ajax Yahoo something (Basically a tweak for Yahoo mail that lets you collapse the email messages, yeah)

I finally crossed over and got Firefox. I like it a lot so far. I also downloaded their outlook equivelant, Thunderbird. I'm really happy about that. My free trial of microsoft office was about to expire and I was able to transfer everything to thunderbird. I like most of al that the programs are free and open source so you can get a lot of extensions and skins for both. I think I am going to be a mozilla user for life now.

Well, I got firefox and it is working okay, with the exeption of downloading extensions. i can't ever get it to download more than 25KB of any extension I try to install. I have tried dowloading them to my harddrive first and then installing them but everytime it tells me that the file is not valid. Anyone else run across this problem??

Nope. I've never ran across that problem at all. It seems pretty weird, actually.
