remakes of the ps FF's?

I heard a few times that square is thinking about or is doing remakes of FF7,FF8,and FF9 for ps2.What i heardw as that they were remaking these with characters with voices and facial expressions and such.Is this rumor true?It would be awesome if they did do remakes with voices and stuff.

I strongly support enhanced remakes of Final Fantasy games before Final Fantasy X. There is popular demand for a remake of Final Fantasy VII. The remakes will more likely happen on PS3.

I would rather have remakes of the cult Final Fantasy games (Final Fantasy I thru VI, that is) as 3D games, more likely the NES trilogy for PS3 and SNES trilogy for PS4. A cult video game is a video game that has usually had a limited sales run, but has a loyal fanbase and has merited raving reviews in the media.

Final Fantasy VII remake is in popular demand. Square Enix is still unclear whether they will ever to do a remake of Final Fantasy VII for PS3. They will probably develop Final Fantasy XIII first, before doing a remake of Final Fantasy VII for PS3. I am sure the PS3 remake Final Fantasy VII may live up to the quality of the PSOne original. Both the FMVs and realtime graphics would be enhanced, thus being closer to Advent Children. Like Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy VII would become full 3D, instead of pre-rendered backdrops. I would also expect an arranged soundtrack treatment. Nobuo Uematsu and Shirou Hamaguchi would do an enhanced soundtrack featuring orchestral, rock, and techno arrangements. Black Mages band would probably be involved.

I've heard rumours about the remake of FFVIII. I don't know if it's true though, probably not. Maybe they will sometime in the future, who knows?

The PS3 is coming soon, so Final Fantasy VII will be remade for PS3 instead of PS2. The remakes were originally planned for PS2, but they were postponed, and they will end up on PS3.

that sucks i probably won't get a ps3...ugh..and what are the new features for the ps3?like whats so new about it...

The PS3 is the successor to PS2. It would be high-definition TV based and region free (due to the advent of HDTV). The PS3 disc is based on Blu-Ray disc, the possible successor to DVD.

That won't happen. No way! What company owns the rights to those games... Nintendo. They wouldn't let that happen.

And, about the PS Trilogy... That won't happen for a.ever b.very long time.
It costs a lot of money to make fancy remakes with voiceovers, good graphics, and the lot. And it would take a long time. Plus, the FF7 remake for the PS3 is not happening.

right and how do you know theyw ill not remake ff7?someone alreday said this rumor is true but its for the ps3 but excluding ff7,you never know,they could release a ff7 remake(not syaing i wnat one but anything is posisble)

I believe that the notion of a FF7, as of late, remake has been cancelled, for any system, except the DS. It is possible that they are contemplating making a FF7 remake for the DS, but it is a rumour and I am not sure if it is true or not. Ask one of the mods or someone else about that one.

i'd like a remake of ff8,ff7 was okay,but not my favorite so i really don't care if they made a ff7 remake

Okay, to be entirely honest, I'd love to see FFVII, FFVIII, and FFIX (especially FFIX) remade with newer, crisper graphics on the PS3, or even multiplatform across the new generation's consoles.

I'm still weary of the idea of turning the 2D titles into 3D titles, but bumping 3D to a higher standard of 3D? Yeah, I'd be all over that. Would I buy them? Maybe, maybe not. That's not the point though.

As to whether they'll actually happen or not, that's yet to be determined.

Square-Enix is so back and forth on the whole FFVII remake thing that it's hard to tell what they'll do in the long run. I keep hearing yes and no from them regularly, and it's difficult to know where the series will end up when it comes to remakes and/or re-releases.

Oh, and on a side note, Red, Nintendo does NOT own the rights to the first six FF titles. Square, now Square-Enix, holds those rights.

Umm, yeah, I was stupid...

I knew that Square made the games, but I thought that, because the first six were made for Nintendo systems, that Nintendo had some, maybe only a little, say in the matter. Plus, the fact is, I don't think that FFI-VI will ever be remade. That is just my opinion. Turning a 2-D game into 3-D is risky, and usually doesn't turn out well.

Now, because of my stupidity, I must go hit myself with a frying pan.
