Okay, you can really be creative with this one: In the WHOLE Final Fantasy series: What was your favorite weapon, weapon type, or what was the coolest you've seen?
(For clarification, I'm reffering to the wielding weapons, not the monsters) I have to say that my favorite weapon would have to be the Ultima Weapon: FFIX version. I personally always enjoyed watching Zidane with his Dual Blades. (I don't even know what the type is called) But the Ultima Weapon looks so fascinating, and is lighter then the FFVII version, which seemed a little dark. This one looks very nice; clear, shiny and beautiful! What is your favorite weapon? Last edited by King Fenii; 11-22-2005 at 11:54 AM. |

I would have to say cloud's just good old buster sword. Weak yes, but most fitting. It kind of irritated me that all the swords after that were just so... run of the mill. I mean here we got this big old massive piece of steel that only he or a trained gorilla could wield .... and then later on we are introduced to a baseball bat with a nail in it that was 4 times stronger. Didnt quite tickle my pickle at all. Even Ultima weapon seemed plain to me. Just wish there was a way to upgrade just the sword and keep it. ( well, you could.Made it kinda tricky not upgrading though )

I would definitely have to say Squall's Lionheart. That weapon can do some serious damage. It makes boss battles a lot easier. I wish it wasn't a random thing though.

I have to agree with Lionheart, but Squall's third- and second-best swords Twin Calibur and Punisher are great too. I lump them together because they look exactly the same, we're told that Punisher is lighter. The twin-pronged blade just looks really cool, and slightly demonic with the black and red colour scheme, and the spiky bits near the hilt.
Odin's Zantetsuken from VIII is also cool. It's simple-looking, but still manages to look good, in addition to it's wickedly sharp blade. I also like that three-barreled gun Vincent uses in Advent Children. It's original, and it has a greater rate of fire than you'd expect from a weapon that looks more like a shotgun than a semi-auto.

Well, I would say Shadow Sword in FFIV. The initial equip for Cecil just beats the hell out of enemies. Yes I know it's weak, but come on! Who wouldn't like Dark Knights. It's shame that you can't use it after you become a paladin.
Then of course, all Ragnaroks in FF history. Especially FFIV's Ragnarok. It's one of Squares traditions like Cid. |

I realy liked (just by looks) Clouds Buster sword and the Organics that he got on the cold mountain... I think they suited him the best. Then I don't know if this would count but... I loved Sora's Ultimate Weapon in Kingdom Hearts... That, the Pumpkin Head, and the Lion Heart were very cool looking keyblades... I was quite happy.

Yeah, a lot of weapons are designed to look cool. But I have another favorite, which you must have seen: The Crystal Sword in Final Fantasy VII. I think you can buy it in Mideel and it's really awsome! The fact is: it's really a crystal. The blade is crystal! Very, very impressive to see.
Another joyful weapon is Wakka's World Champion...have you seen it before? Well here it is anyway: World Champion. How does the dude not cut himself? I know it's Final FANTASY and all, but still! It's weird, but still cool as hell ![]() |

Cloud's Organics, man that thing looked fantastic. Also, i quite liked Squall's Revolver - simple but effective. Tidus' starting Longsword looked good as well, more stylish than the others, i thought.

Ah Nailbat. Just one of the multitude of weapons in the Temple of the Ancients that I sell off as soon as possible. "Why Lestat," I hear you ask, "when you'll need them in the Wutai section?" Because I do that bit first, so what's the use in a strongish waepon that has no materia slots?
Organics. How could I forget that one? It owns! Always been a favourite of mine! I guess I was too busy thinking of other ones. Great design, probably impractical in real life, but it's a great weapon for Cloud to hang over the fireplace when he's an old man. And ya, Cloud's Crystal Sword's a great one too. So thin, and yet so powerful!
