I would have to say Playstation. It has most of the Final Fantasy's and i really like socom for it. My second would be x-box. I like Halo.

I wish you people would expand on these sort of questions. Chalk another one up on board for how many times this thread has been done.

My choice is Playstation. I like RPGs, and so I like Playstation. The Nintendo is good for multi-player games, and I don't really get along good with other people when playing games. But it has some decent single player games, so it comes in second. I hate the XBOX with a passion. It has nothing for me.

As far as companies who make the systems(which is what this thread should be about, even though that has already been done as well), I go with Nintendo. Nintendo has put out some of my most favorite games and, not to mention, my favorite system of all time. Super Nintendo anyone? Yeah. Plus, it doesn't help that they got me into the whole gaming thing in the first place with that neat little Nintendo contraption of theirs. Also, they own the handheld market.

Sony, while a good company despite what everyone else thinks, just doesn't have a lot going for it for me. Sure, Playstation and Playstation 2, but that is really it. I don't care. Microsoft sucks. I'm a Mac user too.

I prefer Playstation by far. The PS2 is the weakest console out of the 3 current gen consoles, but it makes up for this by having the best selection of games. Besides on console the graphics could mean more to me really. They are all subpar to a PC tooled up for gaming anyway.

The Xbox doesn't really do much for me to be honest. The selection of exclusive titles is small and the selection of exclusive titles which I actually want to play is non-existent.

The Game Cube is a great console, but seriously lacks developer support. And it definately does not help that Nintendo is threading water development-wise spitting out one Pokemon/Mario spin-off after the other. It does have some really good titles such as Pikmin, Metroid Prime, and Tales Of Symphonia, but they are too few.

Xbox. When a bunch of us get together with system links or those cables you use for internet, it turns into an orgy of yelling and broken friendships. It is made up afterwards with lots of sex.

Oh, and I can play PSX, Genesis, SNES, and a couple of n64 games on it. I haven't tried any of the portables or the ancient stuff though. Can your ps2 or gamecube play n64 games? F*** no.

Still, if you're going to get a console now, you might as well get a ps2. It's cheaper, comes in bundles, has a better swan song of games, and it's softmoddable as hell. Screw the GC and their minidisc things.

Xbox is probably my favorite. I love the games, and prefer dealing with microsoft than sony. Plus, linking two systems together and getting 8 drunken friends trying to kill each other in halo is as good as it gets for video games.

My PSx comes in second, I'd probably run out the same day and drive to all the second hand stores to find one if it broke. It's built like a tank though, people say you shouldn't leave your consoles on, it was on for 42 days with FFVIII on pause.

Playstation 2 for me because of the RPG support and games like Katamri Damacy.

But Gamecube still takes first because of best first party support. Here lately my GCN hasn't gotten much love, but it will soon enough, when the oh so godly Twilight Princess comes out.

I would say PlayStation 2, because it has the best RPG support, and has Final Fantasy X and X-2, Dragon Quest VIII, Front Mission 4, Unlimited Saga, and it will soon have Final Fantasy XII and Seiken Densetsu 4. The Nintendo GameCube comes in second for me, for it has great games like Super Smash Bros. Melee, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Star Fox Adventures, Star Fox: Assault, and some Star Wars games.

I was a nintendo fan for as long as I can remember because it was just what I grew up on. I never owned a ps in fact i only played it at my friends houses. Once the big 3 came out I naturally bought a gamecube. About a year later or so later vice city came out and i played it at my friends house along with several other ps2 games. Within a week my brother and i had bought a ps2 and i think it was one of the best decisions I ever made. bought an x box about a year after that, because I saw KOTOR. I have all 3 systems and in the end I like ps2 the best.

Defintely Playstation 2, largest library of any of the consoles, so it has the greatest chance of finding something you'll like. Can't find any good RPGs on the X Box, PS2 has them all, plus PS2 has FF and with most of the old school FF being released on PSone version, the PS2 has almost all the Final Fantasy games. All the games I enjoy are just on the PS2, .hack series, Xenosaga series, the Dragon Quest VIII, Grandia II, etc. I love my RPGs and PS2 has just about all of them. Only thing making me buy a Gamecube is Zelda and I am still waiting on it, other than that, Zelda is the only the thing to make me buy another game console, despite that the GC is dirt cheap already.

I want to get Shadow of the Colossus, that looks like a fun game, makes me feel all Zelda like, except with gigantic creatures trying to kill me.

Most important thing, game selection and ergonomics. So yes, I have a PlayStation2. It just has games I like, and all that shite about worse graphics and slower loading time is either non-existant or so minimal I don't notice it.

Also, I just love the controller. Seriously, I would marry it as soon as I pass my Marriage to Inanimate Objects bill. It fits perfectly in my insanely long hands.

If I wanted anything off Xbox I could get it on my computer...and GameCube, just has too much kiddie stuff on it. Mario. *twitch*
