what do you like to get out of Final Fantasy?

me i just look for a good time, and maybe meet more friends in the long run. i try to look for poeple who has a good sense of humor, and can stand my stupid jokes.

Your poll and your topic have nothing to do with each other. In fact, your post and your topic don't really match up either. Hmm. I'm not sure how to respond.


In the games, I look for overall gameplay. If the music sucks, there better be some amazing play and an excellent storyline to make up for it. If the story is mediocre, it better be visually stunning, lest it lose my attention. So on and so forth. As long as the titles are balanced overall, I'm content.


As for socialization, I know plenty of people who play. I don't find people through the game though; I learn more and more people play the game just by being friends with them already. Videogaming isn't something I tend to make friends for, as I've already got plenty of them who play. It's amazing how many people play videogames, and Final Fantasy in particular. You'd never expect some of them to play, and others, you're shocked when you learn they don't.


As for the whole "days of the week" thing, I play whenever I have time, and whenever I'm not wrapped up in other games. When you've got over 250 games to choose from, Final Fantasy isn't always on the currently playing list.

Personally, I want to get some kick-ass gameplay and some cool-as-hell graphics. I also play the games to see how well I can relate to the characters in them. For example, I see a lot of myself in Squall. In the beginning of FFVIII, he was a loner (which I still kinda am). But, by the time the game ends, he has a whole crapload of friends. That's kinda how I am. I'm a loner, yet, I have lots of buddies. Of course, I'm not always as cold as Squall, but I do have my moments. That's the main reason I play FF and many games like it.

I think in the ff series I try to get alot of substance. I like to see a change, or progression in the characters. Of course I enjoy the gameplay, music, and graphics but in the end i like the epic story and i like the length of it.

As for me, I guess my answer would have to be the game's ability to either get me hooked into the game with a really good story, or great gameplay, like others have said. I'm not actually too much in caring about how the game looks, as long as it can weave a good story to keep my interest in it. Besides that though, I also usually play the games for umm... well I guess Story or Gameplay is basically my point of playing.

hmm, when i play the final fantasy games, i look to forget all that is going on around me for just a little while, and to enter another world that is fantastic. Full of love, sadness, anger, all the emotions experienced in real life applied somewhere else.

that sounds romantisized, but oh well. its a good reason. i dont care how good the game looks, CG or sprites both are good, and all that really matters is how good the storyline is.
