New FFIV advance details

Were there any screens in this article? Just curious. I'm wondering what they'll do with the redesigned interface.

Also from the sounds of it, they're keeping the PSX translation and difficulty. A good thing, IMO. And a PvP would be AWESOME, but I'd imagine it would better in the likes of FFV where there's more customization to the characters.

My scanner's not the greatest, but I couldn't find those pictures anywhere else, so you'll all have to deal with it. I was going to mention the other screens that've been released, but I see you've already got those in another thread.

They've apparently added in some ATB bars, and of course, upgraded the graphics. From the other screenshots, it appears that they've streamlined the menus as well.

I'm always excited about the remakes, they always seem so promising. I liked FFI-II: Dawn of Souls, it was easy as pie, but it was nice. I always wished FFIV had better graphics and better sound-quality, because the story is pretty good.

It seems that Square will have remade every FF after IV except FFV. When should we expect that one?

This is sick - FF 4 is the only FF game I haven't played. Soon, it will conviniently be able to be played on my Ds. Sweet!

I like the part about the training dungeon and the fifty floor dungeon and choosing which party members will come to fight zeromus.

As far as I know none of the re-releases have been hugely improved, I would love to see this, 2 player battles would be wicked!

Next year all of the FF game will be on the GBA and DS, and FFV was re-releaed here on the PS1 some years ago, I have them all, FFI-IX on the PS1 Including the Japanese Versions of FFVII, FFVII-JI, FFVIII and FFIX..

Is that 3x by FFVII how many time u beat it, man I beat the game atleast 50-60 times, oh and 2 player battles wouldn't work unless u use the wireless GBA link, and every1 is probably going to use their DS's..

Two things and then I'm done.
Has anyone noticed on the Japanese Site for FFIVA, the Blue Game Boy Micro with the Cecil (Paladin and Dark Night) faceplate?

And secondly, great to see forums with little or no complaints about things - that's very rare, indeed.

I enjoy FFIV thoroughly. It was the first rpg i played back in 91 or 92 i believe. I am excited that they have continued its success onto the gba.

The transition from old school gamers' FF4 to the new era of gamers has its advantages as well as it's disadvantages. First off i asimply think that the new game is far too easy. I practically never had to face my party being wiped out. (Exception to low level encounter of mad ogres and Brachioraidos)
What i loved of the game was the lunar ruins and the cave of trials, the fact that lunar ruins are never ending and the soundtrack player.(i'm indeed a freak

) I do not know what we get if we complete the bestiary but it should be quite recompensating as it is one of the games feats. Overall it had its moments but as an rpg gamer, i think its safe to move on....

Lord_Grim Sword mentioned a 2-player battle, maybe they should do that to some of the ones theyr rereleasing. that would be a fun challange right there
