Yoshitaka Amano by far. Not only did he do some wonderful artwork for Final Fantasy, but Vampire Hunter D and Sandman as well.
Nomura Tetsuya, on the other hand, is just some goof who brought Final Fantasy downhill (while VII though X did have good storylines, the battle systems were horrendous) and introduced that garbage Kingdom Hearts (again, good storyline, horrendous battle system). 'Nuff said on the topic.

Final Fantasy VII did not have a bad battle system (although, X and Kingdom Hearts do), if any FF had a bad battle system it would be IX...
Well, on topic. I agree, Amano is better, I really like his stlye of art... |

that's nice.
though i like kingdom hearts, i think you both are right, amano is better, nomura just draws stuff an colors it in on the cpu, but amano actually does a cool japanese art style. (either that or he sucks)
