backwords compatability

I have recently heard that Xbox 360 will not be backwords compatable with most games, and that the PS3 is losing some backwords compatabilty. Does anyone know more about this? And if you do, do you know what games?

So long as playstation keeps running my tenchu games, i'm more than happy... but... what i'm hearing is that PS1 games may not work on the PS3. I hope it's not true, but since they have been out of production for how long now?

Xbox 360 will only be compatible with best selling titles from the Xbox, but as more and more time passes, this will slowly change.

As for the PS 3 it will have Backwards compatability with PS1 and 2 but you can't use PS1 and PS2 memory cards. Supposedly there might be things to convert over but thats just the speculation part.

thanks alot i didnt know for sure weither you would be able to use the old memory cards or not. i hope they make a way to conver the old saves though. i still have my psone so its not that big of a deal and i won't get ride of my ps2
