The setting is the world of Final Fantasy VII at the time of Before Crisis (which is set five years before the start of Final Fantasy VII). In all there are eleven Turks and they are led by a stern man by the name of Veld. To deal with the threats facing Shin-Ra following the surrender of Wutai (specifically the eco-terrorist organization AVALANCHE), the ranks of the Turks have grown to include several very skilled (and often lethal) men and women.

What you don't hear about are those rejected by Veld, who are the subjects of this RP. Introducing the Vandals, a group of Turk rejects that haven't given up the hope of being employed by the Shin-Ra company.

When the Vandals get wind (entirely by accident) of an AVALANCHE plot to assassinate the creator of the Mako reactor and Shin-Ra head of Housing and Urban Development, Reeve Tuesti, they see it as the opportunity that they've been waiting for to prove that they're not just a bunch of punks and wannabes.

Characters can range anywhere between the real Turks (the newly introduced Turks in Before Crisis have not been named) to existing Shin-Ra management, AVALANCHE members, members of the Vandals and any related characters to move things along. Hell, if you wish to create a character obscurely connected to Don Corneo I won't stop you.

I realize that there is another FFVII RP currently going on, however since this is happening in the past I didn't think that it would infringe. It may be interesting, however, to have characters from The Return of Soldier appear in this thread.

I didn't state so in my write-up, but if you wish you may assume the role of Red XIII/Nanaki on the condition that you respect the time/setting of this RP with respect to the game (or any other later-set material).

Well, to be honest I would have thought that this would have been before he was captured by Shin-Ra. I don't recall any dialogue from the game or online that established when exactly Nanaki was taken.

Personally, I think that more can happen with Nanaki being free and in Cosmo Canyon with the possibility of him being captured by the Turks (his mother killed during the attempt) later on in the RP. However, as Red XIII will be your character for this RP it is up to you.

Hey, I'm in the Return of SOLDIER as well. Mind if I join this rp, as well? It sounds pretty cool. Can't think of a bio right now, but I'll soon come up with it. So this is like before FFVII itself?

You may join, Joe, however the story takes place shortly after the war with Wutai. Which places your character out of the current timeline by two to five years since it was never established canonically how long the war between Midgar and Wutai endured. You are welcome to enter with that character provided you modify his bio to clear up this discrepancy.

You may join as well, LadyNithpantiel. This RP is taking place parallel to Before Crisis, meaning that it takes place around five years (probably less) before Final Fantasy VII.

Bio: Is currently in Cosmo Canyon with his mother and father, Seto. Before the Gi Tribe attacked. Is learning how to protect himself from Seto and learning about the Planet from Bugenhagen. Tensions with the Gi Tribe are rising. Along with his parents, is the last of race.

Physical Description: Drakonus' is 6 feet tall, has a medium build and wears a long coat covered with chains on the back and chained together on the front. He has a gauntlet on his left arm that covers his forearm and fist. The gauntlet is a gun metal black color and has fin-like spikes on the side of the gaunlet. Drakonus has brown hair that covers his eyes and goes down to his lips. He wears a white shirt under his coat and wears black baggy pants and boots.
Bio: Drakonus was raised in a broken home. His mother killed herself and his father never gave any support. His father beat him until Drakonus rebeled and fought back. Soon after he ran away to Midgar when he was 15 and at 17 ended up joining SOLDIER and rose through the ranks quite quickly. Drakonus wielded a sword which he was very capable with and his gaunlet enabled him to take on his enemies with his fists and his sword. In his sword, the words "Death before Dishonor" are carved into the blade. Drakonus has been on numeroud missions and is very skilled and never leaves anyone behind. He is a very nice, but somewhat quiet person. He's gentle out of battle tough and skillful in battle. He uses his head and thinks tactically.

Bio:Joe grew up in Kalm and joined soilder.He wanted to be important he looked up to shinaRa he always thought Mako was great.After he Joined Solider he started to see how badly it was making people suffer.He fought threw many battles After the battle in Wutai he retarted and exiled him self from shinra.He took his war earning and got him self a house right outside of Kalm.He lives alone trains everyday cause he always knows Shinra may come after him....

No, you don't have to be a part of Return of SOLDIER to join this one.

As far as I'm concerned anyone can join, but it's up to each individual RPer to someone write his or herself into the story.
