Hey is it just me who noticed that in most FF games theres a guy called cid,cloud ect or else theres something to do with them for example in FF7 cloud is the main charecter and in FF8 theres a shop called Clouds item store.

um actually there is not always a reference but there is occasionally one like the "clouds item store," but i don't know if there are any others

i belief that there had been a cid in every final fantasy since ff2, or something like that. its like a ff tradition just like moogles and cactuars and bigss and wedge
and yeh, perhaps the clouds item shop is related to cloud, but there are many refrences to ff7 in many games (in ff9, zidane says something about cloud and the buster sword, in ff8, zell has some limit breaks that are the same as tifa's, etc)

Yeah, As far as I know, Cid has been in every game since FF2.. He was also in the Final Fantasy Movie: Spirits Within. I don't know about Advent Child though...

Biggs and Wedge have appeared in a couple. I don't know when they first debued but.. I think it's FFVII.

Cloud has appeared in several FFs since FFVII. FFT, Eihrgeiz, Uh... other games too? Yup.

I think square wanted to make it like this so it made you question wther they are all related and stuff... But it could also be that they cant be bothered making up new names so they use the same ones. I think its cool that theres a cid in like every gam you know? It makes them all connected and stuff.

I believe you can be Cid in FF2... If I'm not mistaken he builds Air Ships and uses a Hammer as a weapon... Right..?

Cid is one of the pillars 'o faith in FF...he's been in every single FF thing since...wait, was he in FFXI? Dunno...

But like, everything in FF is connected...names of enemies, names being reused (like widdle Shinra in X-2) weapons names and so on and so fifth...it's a series, what d'you expect?

@ Strong Bad: Biggs and Wedge were in FFVI. You start out with them on your team at the very beginning of the game. Biggs is called "Vicks" on the FFIII SNES cartridge due to bad translation.

@ Lady Ambika: Yes, Cid is in FFXI, but not directly. You can visit him in Bastok; he's got a laboratory there.

yeah the whole Cid thing might be something to look into...cause there's a Cid in the Escaflowne series as well..the illegitimate prince of Asturia..and other anime series as well..might be asian equivalent of Alex or John or some other name used commonly but with a general yet important meaning..

Cid, Chocobos, Moogles, and what not are in alot of FFs. Wedge and Biggs also die in a majority of the Final Fantasies.

Also the Elvaan Monk's first Job Ability "Combo" is Tifa's beat rush. X3 Left Swing, Right Swing, Low Left Kick. That or it was her combo from Erghiez. One of the two.

yeh he's in advent children. his name was spelt differently in spirits within tho (sid) and he's also in final fantasy unlimited (i believe it was spelt sid in the english subs, but im not sure)

If I am right I beleave cloud was also in final fantasy origins which was a remake of ff1 and ff2 for the playstation.
