Berserk

I saw all the Berserk dvd's and well me and most my friends are wondering if they are planning on making more of them. The story still had a lot to go on and i think its rather cruel that it ended where it did grumble.

So anyone know if there are any plans on making a secuel or a movie about Berserk?

As the manga goes well beyond the Anime, I would imagine. I guess it really depends on popularity and profit though.

Anyhow, Guts is the ultimate hero, 'nuff said.

Guts owns all other anime bad asses out there, giving at least my support for further Berserk titles. I would actually be quite interested in a Berserk: The Movie. A full feature title with enhanced visual effects and top quality art work. I would watch it on its release date no doubt.

Berserk has been one of the most frequently talked about titles as far as sequels go (the other one being Hellsing, but that wish is finally being fulfilled ^_^). The unofficial word on the street was that they stopped so the manga could continue on and they could work off of that (because they had caught up to the where the manga was rather quickly). However, the anime covered the first 17 volumes or so and they're now around volume 30 in Japan, so there's more than enough material for them to continue on with the second season. Still, though, there hasn't been any new info about it. It's also been rumored that they've been waiting to do a second season until the manga is completely finished but, like I said, demand for a sequel is huge so...be wary of anything you read about it online; most likely it will be fan speculation. Unless, of course, you see a press release, at which point the anime community will probably be jumping for joy.

Well thats good news indeed, god knows... cause he heard me yelling "NOOOOO" at the closing credits of the series.

Even if waiting for the sequel is perhaps just wishfull thinking, ill try and hunt down the manga while i wait.

Oh, of note, all the manga isn't out in English yet. Only the first...nine volumes or so. At $13 a piece (or so), they'll run you a little more than your average manga here, so that'll take up quite a pretty penny as it is. Dark Horse is releasing them on a bi-monthly basis, I believe but, again, don't quote me on that. As I've yet to get into the manga (I don't think I have the money to get into a manga that long and, unlike other long manga that I'll just read in the store, Berserk comes shrink wrapped), I don't follow its releases and whatnot too carefully, but I'm relatively certain of my info.

I have been into it quite a lot lately, I just found a second hand copy of Volume 2, I want to get the the whole series. Guts kicks major ass, he would own cloud anyday. But yeah, when does the season finish? I heard 25 from some people, 27 from others... I hope they keep going, its quite a good show. It never aired in NZ (That I know of) so I had to um download it, but yeah, I am up to episode 10, I really need to watch it

Berserk, to me, is probably one of the greatest anime's I have ever seen. I mean yes the ending was a bit, meh, but as said it will leave much room for when this thing is finished. I'll probably just download the manga's to find out what else happens, but it would REALLY tickle my fancy for them to bring out a second season. Mostly I want to see...

Well, I just got the DVD today, I had seen the episodes allready but I don't care. Anyway I must admit the person who does Gatts voice sounds like an idiot, most of the other characters sounded allright but I was disapointed to hear such a pathetic dub of him. Anyway I also hope they release a 2nd season as it is such a good show, but wasn't it made in 1997? Nearly 10 years is a long time to wait for the 2nd season, It would seriously pwn if they do though

there will not be a 2nd season it's only manga that will end the Berserk... But Berserk anime is to me better then the manga... but only manga can tell u the end of it ...[ when it's finished ] And manga is so much different from the anime...

I thought his voice was rather fine. Stupid some times, yes, but there's always japanese for you. Anyway my favorite part of the DVDs dude is the outtakes, watch everyone if you can. It's some of the most funny shit I have ever seen.
