The Final Fantasy Topsites

I decided to re-make a Final Fantasy topsites section for TFF. It is like many other topsite scripts that most of you are familiar with, but of course, the focus is Square-Enix and Final Fantasy:

I'm hoping webmasters will join and help build a solid list. If you have a site and are interested in joining, please sign up! If you know other webmasters that have a FF site, tell them to sign up too! the more the better

TFF has had several topsite scripts in the past (I doubt anyone remembers), but I think this one will be better.

I'm adding links to the rest of the site regarding the new section. Anyways, just wanted to share the announement! eNjoY

Do you have someone to moderate over the topsites list? I'm sure you only want FF and/or SE-related websites, correct? I'm more than willing to add that to my long list of duties around here if you'd like. It's not too difficult... just a matter of clicking on each of the sites and checking the content to make sure it's legit.

That is, after all, why I'm not listing my own site. It's not exactly videogame related, despite being hosted via TFF. But you knew that, so nevermind.

Actually, I take that back... I suppose I can list mine for its FFXI linkshell qualities.

But that'll only be after I put more content into the thing.

I'm one of the slavedrivers over at fantasysquare.com, and just signed us up.
I also have to add that this is extremely well coded. Awesome job you did with it.

Cesar - If you want, you can help moderate/run the thing. Of course, right now it doesn't really need too much moderation since it just started. I think the ideal thing to do now is 'advertise' the section. but sure, if you want to help me, that would be great.

Also, right now we shouldn't be TOO strict on if the site is 100% related to the criteria. Argentos should sign up, it does have that linkshell \=() and Dawezy should sign up, too.

Sir Kenneth - I saw fantasysquare signed up this morning and was happy to see an affiliate sign up... I thought it was Tim but I guess he does have a few slavedrivers, he's a great guy. Thanks for the comments, this is certainly better than what I have seen/used in the past. Thanks for signing up, you're the 1st! and currently #1, haha

Well, we KNOW Dawezy's FFIV site should be on there, as it's the mecca in FFIV knowledge. As for my own, I'll take care of it when I whip up a standard ad-sized banner to put in the image space. While I'm at it, I can write up a touch of content for the site. After school tonight, of course.

...might as well start pulling things together, right? I've procrastinated long enough.

Tim's still away doing compulsory military service. 2 and a half years that poor fellow, military service in Singapore is quite a daunting task apparently. He should be a free man by the end of the year though. So at the moment the mostly takes care of the offline aspect of FantasySquare such as myimportstore.com, leaving the website, content, and forum to Dave (Norco/EvilChookie), Andrew (Chocobo), and I.

First at the moment and we'll try desperately to cling on to that

Sounds good though, I wouldn't worry 'too' much about the content, but if you are planning on getting it up anyways, then cool. thanks

EDIT: Kenneith - I didn't even know Tim was in the military! That explains his sudden email responses. I help sell merchandise for both of his stores, so we keep in touch. Cool to hear that you help run the site, it is lookin' good.

I'm down with listing my site, got all the affiliate buttons you will ever need on my own links page if you get the itch to use one of them. Or I could probably make a flashy new one for the occasion which should be simple enough to accomplish.

Sweet. Yeah, you can use any button you want when you submit the banner... just has to be .jpg (I believe).

Just click on 'add site' on the top 100 index whenever you have time. You the man!

I'm connected to a lot of people who own (... or used to at least) character shrines. Not specific gaming sites though. I can mention it to them if you'd like. Although I don't think they're into that.

I'd sign up myself if not for the fact that my site has almost NOTHING on it. Ugh.

Whee! Now that I finally got around to making a web banner -- standard advertisement size at that -- I figured I'd go ahead and add myself onto that little list of yours, Fuzz. Now, to work on content...

yay! banner looks sweet man. Content is always the funnest part. It's just the whole 'time' issue that always creates a road-block.

Ah yes, thanks. I spent a whole six minutes on that banner. I wanted something simple... it turned out way better than I'd initially expected. It's amazing what you can do with eleven layers -- even if it looks like it's only four.

Something I noticed. The title bar above the topsite listings... it says "The Final Fantasy Topsites Topsites." I chuckled at it.

Also, does the width of the page HAVE to be wider than 1024? I mean, it's not that I really mind the scrollbar, I just don't see a reason for it to be there. It's like the page was designed with a 1280x1024 resolution in mind, rather than a 1024x768. I was just wondering what that's all about. A couple images too large or something?
