Resident Evil: The Plagued Village

(Tell me if you want me to edit my post if you really need me too.)

Todd was sitting in a plane that was on the way to Pueblo. Todd was assigned to lead a squad which consisted of a US marine, a sniper, and an FBI agent. "This outta be real fun" He said to himself. "We are five minutes away from Pueblo so, get your equipment together and be ready to land. When the plane landed Todd was the first person off. Upon landing the team was to first meet with a pre-med student at their landing zone. Todd spotted the pre-med standing next to an SUV. He walked over to the pre-med and said "Hey my name's Todd and this is the squad I have been assigned to lead. You are now part of this squad and I don't what you do as long as you don't get in my way got it." He said to the others. He grabbed the keys to the SUV and asked "Who want's to drive?"

"All right, Captain," Julia said suddenly. "I'll drive." Todd tossed the keys to her. The other squad members and the pre-med student got in the SUV. Julia got in the car and put the key in the ignition. "Oh, no!" she thought to herself. "Why did I do this? I'm in just gonna screw things up again..." She sat in the seat for a minute, until one of the passengers in the back flicked her in the head. She was taking a while. She turned around with a funny look on her face.
"What the hell are you doin'?" one of the passengers yelled.
"Sorry," she said quietly. "Just a little nervous." And with that, she pressed the pedal and drove down the driveway, out of the small airport. Once in the forest she began to think again; "All right, I just have to settle down." She thought to herself. "Just calm down," As she drove, she saw posts along the road. They had bones and skulls on them. She went slow to read one of them. She couldn't read Spanish well, so she guessed. It looked like it said, "Beware," but she wasn't sure. It could have said bologna or balloon for all she knew. She hit the pedal again. The forest was dense with trees. It was early autumn and leaves scattered the road. In the distance she thought she saw a house. Then she wondered what she was here for.
"Captain, do you have any clue why the hell we're here???" she asked Todd. And, right when he was about to answer...
She wasn't paying attention to the road. There was a bump and a thud. Julia hit her head against the steering wheel. After a second she shook her head and looked outside.
"Holy shit!" a passenger cried. "What was that?" There were disgruntled murmurs in the back and Julia felt scared. "Just breathe," she thought to herself. "Gotta check it out," She opened the door of the SUV and stepped out, after a moments deliberation. She slowly walked towards the back of the SUV where something lay. After a second there came an ear-splitting scream...

"Thank rou!!! We rove rou ah!!!"
Those were the words that started it all. All at once, pyrotechnics were blazing from the stage; fireworks boomed in vibrant splashes of color. Multicolored lights suddenly swept to and fro over the huge pavilion, occasionally gliding over the 110,000 screaming fans in the stadium. The concert, one of their largest ever, was sold out within two days of the tickets going on sale, and that had provided many a teenage girl over a month of anticipation, all let lose now that the band had finally made their appearance on stage. A hard-hitting power chord ripped through the night at a volume which would nearly deafen the eager fans, had it not been near-instantly covered by the sounds of their frantic yelling. The show had begun.
~~
The day had been hell. No, the week had been hell. Shit, the whole ****ing month had been hell. Twenty cities in thirty days... You do the math. Long nights on planes trying to get off the adrenaline buzz of the concert ending only a few hours ago, even longer nights on the band's tour bus. Sure, it had beds and toilets, but the roads in both South America and in Germany were outrageously bumpy and unkept. Trying to sleep, but being kept up by his brother Jin's crying all night because he missed his lover. Sho hated it all.
~~
Now Jin was down on his knees, being bathed in a sea of hands as he screamed about how much he "****ing hated her." Sho was shaking his head in contempt for his brother's song as he headbanged hard, sending ebony locks back and forth in a dazzling wave of black. His fingers were flying across his trademarked axe; fingers already somewhat sore with no real healing time between concerts. As he screamed right along with his younger brother, drumbeats behind him sending tremors through his heart, his thoughts drifted to how much a sell-out his sibling was. "Why don't you ever understand?!" he screamed as he dropped to his knees, particularly liking those lyrics because he always thought of Jin whenever he sang. Another amazing riff echoed through the expansive stadium, and again the sighs and screams of the swooning girls not twenty feet away filled the night.
~~
Music is an extension of the soul; this Sho firmly believed. His own lyrics actually meant something to him. Yet the world was full of posers who simply tried to cash in on the culture at the time, one of these posers being his brother. Many a long night was spent debating in private with the other members of the band, wondering if they should get rid of Jin and find someone who actually *lived* for music, rather than use music as a way to make money. Sure, Sho liked the money too, but always kept it in mind that it was byproduct of what he really adored. Hopefully they could find a new lead singer before the next album was out, as Jin's new song ideas were generic trash.
~~
Off to the side of the stage, the mosh pit was heating up. Sho's dark eyes drifted toward it, a small grin spreading across his lips as he subconciously showed his prowess with the guitar in his hands by tearing out a face-melting solo. As he struck once last hard chord to end the song, more streams of sparks shot into the air, causing the already humid night to feel like a furnace. Sweat plastered his gorgeous hair to the sides of his face, and he was getting to the point where he almost *had* to headbang every now and then to get the transporters of stinging sweat out of his eyes.

The song done now, Sho did his breath to catch the elusive breath through his narrowing throat. The screaming was starting to take a toll on him, and the constant taste of warm sweat in his mouth was making everything worse. Turning his head to the side, he grinned, seeing his trenchcoat-clad best friend and bassist far worse off than Sho himself. Sure, the bassist had nowhere near as many notes to play, and none at all to sing, but the flowing red coat and the dark garments on underneath totally outdid the heat of Sho's leather jacket and black pants.

Jin seemed to be the only one smartly dressed for the occasion; shirtless and a pair of tight azure slacks. His bare chest gleamed under a shean of sweat as he allowed the many female fans at the front of the stage to partake in the secretion, seemingly thousands of hands drifting over his body. Sho glanced back to the drummer, the only non-asian of the group, and flashed a bright smile that said, "Stick with it, man!" Lucky for the drummer, a rather large fan was positioned behind him, keeping him cool and leaving the rest to suffer.

Jin finally pulled away from the crowd, eager to get the next song started, but ended up with one shirt more than he bent down with. A young woman, more than likely fueled by the intensity of the music, was all at once very topless. Security was instantly atop her, breaking her away from the crowd and dragging her toward the exit. The other fans didn't seem to care, and Jin was proud to show his appreciation of the tease by winding the shirt around his neck in a makeshift scarf. "She got a ritter carried away, ne?!" he screamed into the microphone, laughing like a loon. The crowd only cheered...
~~

Another thing Sho was deathly tired of- underage teens willing to show it all just because they think the men before them are "sexy." Another set of posers, and Sho hated them all. It was probably better that he wasn't writing for these people, lest their music would turn into what many an American geek refer to as "J-pop."
~~

Blisters formed and broke along Sho's fingertips, and he gargled with pain at the feeling. The fans didn't seem to notice, probably assuming the growl was part of the song; that or they were too busy staring at their beloved Jin, wishing it was their shirt rather than the other girl's around his neck. So much annoyance, and the show wasn't even half done. It was going to be another shitty long night again.

As soon as Jeff heard the scream he jumped out of the car and ran behind it. The driver had been in a state of utter and complete shock for a few moments. While she was calming herself down he looked down at what they had hit. From the looks of it it appeared to be a human. As Jeff extended his arm to see the face of the poor man, he flailed his head around and started screaming in spanish. Jeff tried to help the man up but whenever he extended his arms he either lunged at his arm or flailed his body around like three year old in a tempertantrum.
"Can someone give me a hand and get this thing off this guy." With the help of the leader of the squad, Jeff, and Todd were able to push the SUV off of the man pinned underneath. As soon as the SUV had come off the man he got up and walked towards Jeff. At first Jeff thought he was coming over to thank him for getting him out from underneath the SUV when he started to choke him. As he was being choked Jeff saw something in the eyes of the man he had seen before, that half-dead look of someone who had just been shot and was dying. He relapsed back into reality and screamed "What the Hell are you doing?" Jeff said as he threw the mans hands away from his throat. A few moments after the man was thrown back he screamed something in spanish. "I really wish I knew what you are saying, but i don't speak spanish," Jeff said.
After the man had finished speaking spanish a group of five people came rushing out of the cabin not to far down the road and were stained with what looked like blood. "what the Fu--," was all Jeff was able to get out before someone cut him off.

"¡Por qué hizo el le infierno no me dice usted estaba encinta?" Raphael heard these types of screams as he rushed out of the SUV. The rest of the squad members looked confused. Looks like none of them spoke spanish. Oh well, he thought. Nothing too bad. Julia asked Raph, "What are they saying?" "Just some baby-mama drama." he responded. Nothing big. So, they all shrugged and got back into the car. Raphael wanted to know what kind of mission they would be doing, so he asked to be debriefed.

"Todd, what exactly are we going into?"

"Nothing I can say, sorry bud."

"Todd, you know that when you keep me in the dark, you are keeping my government out of sight as well, and thats not a wise move..."

"Oh really, why's that?!" Todd obviously thought he was a tough guy. One of those American pigs...
-----
Actually, Raphael had no problems with Americans. He grew up there himself. When he was eight, he moved into California with his uncle, who was a multi-millionaire. He just hated the prejudice, which is why he moved out of the US after his second year in Pre-med school. Besides, his Latin roots carried deeply over in Spain. He simply missed his huge family, the bullfights, and everything involved with his brothers and sisters and relatives....
-----

"Listen," Raphael was getting a little angry as of right now. "Please explain immediately why you are in MY country, helping us. I don't think we need you here..."

Todd sighed deeply, "ok, I'll fill ya in..."

(OOC: now following SH's post....)

"OK guys, we only have about three miles to go for Pueblo, but the rest of it is off-road, so get ready for some bumps." Raph was still quite unnerved after what Todd had informed him with. Real people that have been still alive after death? There is no way that can be caused. Raph was a pre-med student, so he has a pretty good idea on whether some is alive or not, but..."

Just then, another bump....and another scream. Julia was in the middle of a break down. She just accidently killed an innocent civilian, via running him over after he jumped seemingly out of nowhere. As she is sobbing at the wheel, Todd, Jeff and Raphael jump out and see what happened...

"Ah mi dios." Raph turned pale. Todd looked away, knowing what was going on. Jeff was speechless. "Todd, just for curiosity, may I..." "Yeah thats fine with me..." Todd was more concerned about his team then Raph doing an autospy, but oh well.

Just from examining the body, the corpse seemed to be already in advanced stages of decay, dispite just being killed not 4 minutes ago. What was even stranger was that there was still a normal pulse on the corpse, even though it was slammed with a velocity that could have dropped an elephant. As he sees a house nearby, he says "I'm going to see if who lives over, maybe they can identify him..." Even though no one was paying attention, and Raph knew that. They didn't give a shit if Raphael died, because he was simply not one of "them." Them; meaning a US citizen. As he entered the house, he was relieved to see someone that looked like a normal human being was there.

¿Hola allí, yo le puedo preguntar algunos preg-" "Bájese de de mi tierra, usted extranjero impío!" Raph was just threatened to get out of his house, so he quickly complied, as not wanting to start any trouble with villagers.

As he rushed back to back to the SUV, he almost wet himself when he heard the run-over 'pedistrian' say "Máteme..." Julia was still in tears. "He's been saying that ever since you left.." "Kill me...Why is he saying 'kill me'??" Raph was completely confused, so as he bent over to help the 'dead' man, he ducked over in the nick of time, as a handaxe was thrown with great accuracy, very close to hitting Raph, instead smashing the front window of the SUV wide open. It was the man from the house!!!

"Oh, my god..." Julia muttered as the man who through the axe got closer. "What is wrong with these people!!!" She was sitting on the ground, crying. She knew she was unstable and not in any condition to help the team...she'd probably just get them killed.
"Move!" one of the squad mates yelled as a second man came out of the forest. She stood up and slowly started for the SUV, when the man on the ground grabbed her leg.
"Shit!" she yelled as she pulled out her knife and stabbed the man in the hand. "Sorry!" She ran into the car and tried the keys. They wouldn't work. She kept trying, but no go... More people came out of the forest... The squad was surrounded.
"C'mon!!!" Julia screamed, in tears as the people neared. There was a gunshot. A villager fell. One of the squad had pulled out a gun.
"C'mon, dammit!!! Work!" she was desperate. "C'mon, c'mon, c'mon," It still wouldn't work. "We're screwed," she thought as the villagers closed in on the squad.

Todd pulled out his 9mm and shot one of the villagers in the head. The villagers were getting closer and closer every second. "Does anyone have a suggestion on a way out of this situation?" He said to the squad. Todd looked over at Raph and saw a FB grenade sticking out. He grabbed the FB grenade and said "At the count of three everyone sheild your eyes and run in that house. Todd grabbed Julia's hand and at the count of three he threw the FB grenade at the villager's feet. The bright light of the FB grenade blinded the villagers. While holding Julia's hand Todd ran to the house.

Once inside the house...
"Thanks..." Julia said, as she wiped dirt off of her pants. "But, would someone tell me what the f**k is going on! I mean, look at those guys...What the hell is wrong with them, they're crazy!!!" Todd shook his head.
"Why can't you tell me!!! C'mon, our lives are at stake!!!" Todd just shook his head again. Julia sighed to herself as she went into a corner of the room and sat on the floor. She pulled up her pant leg and noticed a cut on her ankle. "Shit!" she yelled as she pulled some cloth of of her shirt arm and wrapped it around her ankle. The medic came over and looked at it.
"Just a flesh wound," he said as he sprayed her ankle with antibiotics and recovered the cloth. She stood up.
"Thanks," she said as she went over to a table and sat down. "So what do we do now? We're trapped in some small Spanish village surrounded by some crazy Spanish people... What's the plan?"

With the blinding flash grenade as a diversion the squad ran into the small house. However riliey wasn't so lucky a villager threw a hand axe at his head right before the FB grenade went off. As soon as everyone was in the house Rapheal pushed a book case in front of the door. "I'll go check out the house to see if anyone else is in here," Jeff said. While searching the house he found a body, that at one time was a women's. However, now the body was a mess of limbs scattered throughout the room. Jeff then went back to the rest of his squad where he told them of what he found. Most of the squad was speachless. A loud thumping at the front door broke the uncomfortable silence. "we've gotta get out of here or else we'll end up like the women upstairs. There is an open window upstairs maybe we can get on to the roof and get back to the SUV," Jeff said.
Everyone ran up the stairs past the room with the dead body when Jeff noticed the body wasn't there. At this Jeff stopped and went back in the room to investigate. As he entered the room he saw the severed head of the corpse on the floor, the only problem with this was that the head wasn't severed from the body when Jeff entered the room only a few minutes ago. The body with a razor shaped head was having a spasm at the other end of the room. All of a sudden the head swung at Jeff cutting his cheek. In reaction to this Jeff drew his nine millimeter beretta and fired two rounds at the creature.

After hearing the gunshots, Todd quickly rushed into the room, followed closely by Raphael. "What the hell is this?" Todd exclaimed, while both him and Raph proceeded to give the mutated contorsionist from hell a nickle injection. After unloading a full clip from all three of them, the thing staggered backwards and fell to the ground. "I don't think he'll be like that for long," said Todd, "So we better get our asses in gear!" Julia screamed as the villagers finally busted their way into the house. Many of them started to rush up the stairs, however Jeff & Todd were there to block off the steps. "Back to death you go!" shouted Jeff. As Raph got to the roof of the house, he saw nobody outside, which was a good thing. Great, he thought. Everybody must all ready be inside. He saw a worn down hut that looked like a few miles outward. "Everyone, split up and meet in the hut!" Todd commanded. Everyone obeyed, for some particular reason.

A few moments later, everyone made it to the worn-out hut in one piece. The room was very small, and had no light, save for the one projected by Raph's computer. He made this time to check everyone's wounds, and this would be one of the very few rest periods the team got...

When Raph checked Julia's wounds, he re-looked at the ankle.

"How is it doing?"

"Fine, I think..."

"How are you doing?"
"..." Raph looked into Julia's eyes. He could see that, on the outside & in, that she was a very strong-willed person. She seemed deeply afraid of this whole ordeal that was going around her, probably because they really don't train for this type of thing. Before he knew it, he seemed to being magnetically attracted to her. Closer, closer....

"Hey Captain, what's the plan?" The trance was snapped, Raph turned around to look at Todd, who looked somewhat angry at Raphael. "I'd say we better start moving to our mission point quickly, as our chances for survival out here right now are slim.." "Todd, just let us rest for a little bit!" Julia looked cranky, as did the rest of the squad. "Fine. A two hour R&R session will begin, afterwards we will make our move towards the Pueblo village." Everyone was relieved.

Julia, feeling relieved on getting away from the villagers, sat on the thatch floor, in the corner. She opened her pack out took out, Stephen King's The Stand. She opened it up; she was on page 373. "Just gotta relax and read..." she thought to herself. "Let's check up on Larry..." While she was reading she couldn't help to think of how useless she was. She put her book down and started to cry.
"I'm useless!" she sobbed. Raphael walked over to her and placed his hand on her shoulder.
"It's okay, you aren't worthless," he said calmly. "Just, wait, you'll find your purpose soon enough," Julia looked up, eyes red.
"Thanks..." Raphael went back to his computer as Julia went back to her book. After about 20 minutes, she fell asleep.
She woke up about an hour later to find the hut empty. The squad's bags were still there. Raphael's computer was still on, blinking.
"Huh, where is everyone???" she thought. She walked outside. She was relieved; the squad was outside, trying to read a sign.
"I think that says Pueblo Village 1.5 miles Danger," the captain said. The marine looked restless.
"All right, the girl is up, let's go," he took out his gun. "I'm ready for action,"
The captain nodded.
"Break's up, get your stuff and let's go," he pointed to the sky. "It's starting to get dark, so we should have good cover," Julia and the rest of the squad got their things together. Julia took out her sniper rifle and equipped the infrared scope. She loaded the gun and walked outside, leaving her book, open on the floor. The squad was ready and Todd pointed down the road and started walking. Julia and the squad followed...

"Oh, shit!!! There they are! They're finally out!!!" One crazed fan's voice called over the night as Seppun-aka finally made their way away from the stage after a long night of stress. 1:30 AM, and these obsessed girls were still waiting for the band to come out for autographs. Sho sighed as he passed through the huge double doors. At once, screeches that would send even banshees away pierced him, and he knew that it was going to be longer still before the night was finally done.

That's life.

5AM, and the band was finally on their way, off to a ninety minute drive to the airport, where they'd be flying out of Germany, across Spain, and into the heart of Europe. All of it was one long blur to the man, as sleep came and went frequently.

That's life.

He didn't even remember getting on the plane; he must've been in a daze the entire time. One long yawn, a blink of those tired black eyes as they drifted to his throbbing hands. His fingers were sore still; wrapped in bandaids at the tip. Was it worth it? Hell yeah. A slow smile spread across his lips, and darkness embraced him once more.

That's life.

Screams now, what he thought was just a sleeplessness-induced dream. Hand on his shoulder, squeezing and shaking. Dazed, he opened his eyes, found himself face-to-face with what looked to be a monk. Confused, he tried to sleep once more, that is until the hands on his shoulders took him by the throat. Shaken again, he sputted out a long cough, eyes snapping open and seeing the black-garbed monk clearly for the first time. The man's eyes were full of fury, and he was calling out something in a language he didn't know. "What the f-ck is going on?!" flashed through his mind for a split second. The fingers tightened around his throat, his face flushed red as he felt it becoming harder and harder to breathe. His own hands worked at the safety belt, and he became aware that the screams around him were real for the first time. As the buckle let loose, his dark eyes danced around the fusalage, seeing these "clergy" all around, causing terror. All the sudden, a splash of blood shot to the ceiling five rows ahead of Sho, and one of the screams died. "Oh shit..."

He could start to feel the monk's nails digging into his neck, not deep at all yet, but enough for him to realize they were indeed there. Loose from the harness, Sho let instinct take over. He pressed his feet into the monk's chest, pushing with all his might, and felt the fingers slide away from his neck, abrading the flesh nonetheless. Using this moment, Sho quickly got up from his seat, pushing the monk over the back of the seat in front of him. All at once, Sho was down on his knees, picking up the guitar case the airline has apparently been nice enough to allow him to carry on.

Save for the monk that was sprawled out one row ahead now, Sho hadn't yet drawn attention. The others were apparently too busy with their own captives to pay heed to the Japanese man. All appeared to be unarmed, and suddenly Sho was furious. "EVY BODEH!!! RAKE UP AND FIGHT! THESE MEN CANNOT HURT ROO ANYMORE THAN ROU CAN HURT THEM!!!" The rest of the band was on their feet now, save for the bassist. Sho hoped for the best.

This...This can't be life.

Thirty minutes later, Sho found himself flying out of a falling plane, having forgotten that if a door was opened, the change in pressure would suck him right out. It had, from an altitude of less than twenty feet, and he'd been thrown along with Jin and the drummer Ray like ragdolls into a lake that ended up being less than 100 feet from the crash-zone. Shocked, the only thing he could think of was that he was happy his guitar case was water-proof. The realization that over 100 people were dead, including their bassist and second guitarist, nearly spitting distance away never really did cross his mind. He was in shock, shaking in this pool that had been a full-body slap when he crashed into it. Ray was face down, floating and not moving. Was he gone too?

Jin must have been thrown farther, or something, because Sho couldn't see him anywhere, either. Man...this was bad. Floating on the guitar case, Sho did the only thing he could think of. "Hep..." came the pathetic cry from his mouth. "Hep me, prease!!!" He doubted anyone could hear.
