FF IV, FF V, and FFVI Being Re-released For GBA

According to Nintendo's WiFi News Conference, Square-Enix is bringing more than just the recently annoucned Final Fantasy IV to GBA. As previously hinted through scans, both Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy VI are headed to GBA as well.

On top of all of this, Square-Enix is currently porting (or has already done so) every game in the series to a Nintendo handheld. Could more Final Fantasy classics be in the works? We'll have to wait and see. The success of the Final Fantasy: Dawn of Souls certainly has a lot to do with why Square Enix is re-releasing all of these classics again.

But Wait... It keeps going! Final Fantasy III is still in development for Nintendo DS. It is also a fully 3D, polygon based remake. It is scheduled to hit Japan sometime in 2006.

Well damn, it's good to finally see it officially. I expected it from the start, but still, there's a sort of relief, a finality that comes with hearing the words out of their mouths.

And I'm even more glad to hear that the FFIII DS plans are still underway. If they'd given up on that, I would have been highly disappointed. On the other hand, knowing that it's fully-3D has me much less enthusiastic about it as well. They'll likely change the story to "get with the times," which means it really won't be FFIII at all. Hmm...

FINALLY!!!!! i've waited so long for this to actually happen!! I hope they do a FF3 for advance too!!!

...if you'd read the post above you, you'd notice that FFIII is being recreated for the Nintendo DS. There's a thread about it in the FFI-III section. The game will be fully-3D according to the latest screens.

Probably the 4th time such an announcement has been released, but its good to hear about 5 and 6 hittin the handheld market. Saves some gamers having to jump out and swipe a PSOne (or PS2 for that matter) to play them these days solely. As with the other "remakes" .. wonder if any special features will be added - like the Bestiary and such.

Time will tell, I love how Square keeps everyone in the dark regarding the rest of the detail >.> bleh. lol

This is absolutely great! 2 of my favorite Final Fantasies goin' handheld? BOOYA! I always wondered what it would be like to play FFVI on the go.

It is wonderful that the Final Fantasy SNES trilogy is coming to Gameboy Advance. There will also be additional content not found in the SNES originals. Final Fantasy IV is getting a graphical makeover on the GBA as well. The GBA version of Final Fantasy IV is based on the WSC version.

I was expecting something like this, because during the last year, Square Enix was rereleasing some of their old games, and when i heard about FFIV on GBA, i was even sure that V & VI will be rereleased, actually i'm very happy with this decision, i love IV, V & VI, and i'd love to play them once more on the GBA, these games were wonderful ones at the time, and they are still like that, and with some improvments the games would rock, but i wish if i'm going to see them in full 3D graphics in the future, because these games are much better than many of today's games

Let us rejoice the news of Final Fantasy III being available to the public and this news of VI coming to GBA brings me great joy also as I hae been unable to get a copy for so long. Back to FFIII, I think that it is good that we're finally going to see some real gaming action go to the DS, there just doesn't seem to be any interest by Nintendo in producing games for it. But I am going off topic, Rejoice.

I knew it. After making so much money off of DoS, they desided that it would be finicially better for them. Rejoice, for the days are drawing closer! LOL

if IV, V, VI come out on GBA, then what will VII be on?? i hope its DS cuz that would be real cool. Especially if they remake it in 3D!!!
