So this is my thread, where I will be posting my artwork. Since I am really interested in becoming an artist, I would love it if you guys could give me some input of what you think about my work. Thanks much.

Really, wait for a scanner. That's what I did. Then you can screw around with photoshop to make it look even SEXIER. As long as you've got time and effort. I don't. F*** that.


But yeah. Draw outrageous shit. Like a thousand pixies dancing on Michael Jackson's grave or something. After all, art ain't art unless it makes you all warm in your guttiwuts. THAT'S WHAT IT MEANS TO BE AN ARTIST. Even though this is coming from someone who isn't an artist, TRUST ME. Ballz knows.

And I disagree with the last thing you said. I really respect you as an artist - I've veiwed your work and you have some amazing shit.

Good artists have their own distinct style and probably don't need visual aids for everything they draw.

Visual aids for artists are an easier and quicker way of copying or drawing something. I find I don't need visual aid unless I'm experimenting with something that I havent drawn before.

And I've almost been through everything.

Besides, there isnt anything wrong with copying something a few times, its good practise.

I've been drawing for over a decade now, and I find I still make little mistakes here and there - practise makes perfect.

it was sorta hard to see, I'm going blind i think, but what i saw i liked. You're very talented. unfortunately most of my stuff that i really like wont fit on a scanner, so i have to dig through sketch books to find something i can post.

No you're not going blind, I have a really bad webcam, and it made the pictures seem a little grainy. I'm glad you like though!

Chickenballz has a massive point though, I really should wait until I get a scanner, it'll probably all look a lot better if I can get it up here like that.

The votes havent lessened my ego though - I'm still going to try for art college. =P

Mmmmmm, art college. What I'm trying to get into, as well. Out of pure curiosity, how exactly does the school you want to go to act as an art school? What subjects are there? How long? Is it a college thing?
Well, you can see you have talent. Most important.
Hm. If I had confidence in myself and a scanner, I'd post some of...mine...ah well next year.

It's an art college. Just art is studied, shades, how to perfect drawing and skill and the perception of objects... The subjects are differently set, I can choose which ones to take... the only problem I have in art is colouring... I'm awful at that stuff, but hopefully, once I get alittle job, I can begin going there and taking a couple of the courses... I know I'm not the greatest artist out there, but I think with some of these courses, I can really nuture this talent. And I'd really love to see some of your work, I bet its all really awesome.

Wow, so art school is about art, huh? That's my problem. The art school HERE isn't so much about art. It's more advertising, logo design, displays kind of stuff. Interesting, but not THAT much up my alley.

But I really want to exploit my...talents...I dunno, maybe I should go back to America for school. Sigh...I'm tired of the daycare crap here.

You have the outlines anproportions really well. You seem to be a good line artist, which is something some people dont consider to be art. The shading is good, but maybe try to enhance the shading, perhaps practicing a few techniques such as cross-hatching. I think some of your work would look great with a green or red ink wash with biro outlining the actual image. With your drawings being of things like a flower or a plant, it really would look nice trying out some ink-washes.

well i don't want to upset a moderater so i'll say its good. Only joking but seriously it looks good, and as i say about all good artists, i'm am extremely jealous of you and i only hope that i can some how draw stuff like that.
