That's right... you read it. Pirates!

This RP has great potential and i'm expecting some very active posters who'd be willing to...post...actively...

But yes. As you guessed it will be an RP regarding Pirates and based in that time period! Yar har! Traveling the 7 deadly seas has never been so manly. (or deadly)

Now, I haven't exactly planned out any storyline, I was just wondering how many people would first be interested in a Pirate RP.

I suggest to place the setting into the carribean sea, BY ALL MEANS!
For starters, the PC group could meet (without knowing each other) in a rundown tavern at Tortuga bay. After some little amusements (including AT LEAST rum, whores, fighting, singing and extended bragging), they could plot something risky like looting and pillaging a random coast city or capturing a spanish silver galleon.

Not that dense story but includes some things I would really appreciate.

Oh yes, the name of the RP should be Between the devil and the deep blue sea.

Im liking those ideas alot Toro. Maybe we should also come up with 2-3 other towns and develop their surroundings and environment so that we can involve them into the RP a little more than we would if we just randomly thought of a tonw during the RP. We've already got Tortuga Bay. I cant really think of any good names so Ill leave that up to you guys. Maybe Costa De La Cerveza Inglesa (coast of ale) or something like that.

Another suggestion: everyone participating who voted for Ninjas as the cooler guys will play a shipboy MUAHAHA!

How about a really huge city like Havanna or Maracaibo? Or finally PORT ROYAL!

Oh so we should use real names. Works for me since Im sucking at coming up with random city/town names right now.

Guess Ill also take some of the ship boys for my late night lovers Muahaha!!!

We also need a huge fleet of royal soldiers chasing us around so that we have someone to kill hehe. Or maybe just some rival pirate gang. Both would work actually.

Great ideas ToroMor. This is pretty much what I've come up with so far. There has been a lot of people wanting to be captains... and we can't ALL be captains... riiight? Right. So.. It seems to me that...

There are going to be 2 TEAMS! What's that you say? 2 Teams? That's madness! But alas, It shall be done. Now.. I will be the Captain of one ship (Seeing as it was my idea for the RP =P) And... I was thinking ToroMor should play the captain for the other ship. (Unless you guys have any objections?)

Now... I was thinking of something like this for a storyline:

We all meet in some dark, smoke filled pub, filled with whores, pirates and other sea-scum. When all of a sudden Rumor will spread like wild fire about A TREASURE! (We'll figure out a location in the future.)

So our two teams/rivals will compete to find this treasure! We'll need a bunch of crew members though... I'm sure you guys wouldn't mind filling in those positions. I figure we'll battle at sea or something..

BUT! We MUST have Zombie Pirates. I mean, come on, you can't have a pirate RP without zombies from davey jone's locker.... Maybe some Giant squids will attack our ships.. You'll have to see..

OKay.. what do you guys think? Throw in some Suggestions or..lobsters...

I'll be making the first post *Claimed* So.. don't you guys worry about it. To answer the question earlier. I'd suggest posting your character profiles now in here.... GO!

Hair: Exactly like Squalls, from Final Fantasy VIII
Left eye: Unknown - Hidden by eye patch.

Height: 5'10" (Average)
Origin: Spain
Marital Status: Single

Physical Appearance: Looks exactly like Squall, aside from the differnces mentioned above, the lack of the scar, and his own scars, light and healing.

Weapons: Two katanas, named "Heaven" and "Hell".

Bio: Wullfes parents were naval officers aboard a Spanish Galleon. One unfortunate night, their ship was boarded by a group of inmates who had recently made their escape from prison and they proceeded to slaughter everyone on board. Wullfe was tossed overboard, to drown, but the leader of the band of pirates ordered him rescued, and has continued to raise him as his own son. Wullfe knows nothing of his life before Captain Morgan. He is under the impression that the captain is his birth father. Ever since he was a child, he had the tendency to hide his left eye behind an eye patch, for what reason no one knows, and nobody has ever bothered to find out.

Under the expert guidance and tutelage of Captain Morgan, Wullfe has grown to be an extremely competent swordsman, his studies as a tactician, however, are lacking due to his enmity towards study. While the dear Captain prefers to use a rapier and pistols, Wullfe has developed his own style of fighting. One day, after raiding a foreign merchants ship, Wullfe claimed his prized katanas from the ships treasure hold. Never having seen any such weapon before, he was mesmerized and immediately fell in love with them. Ever since then, he has developed his own style of fighting, blending Captain Morgan’s teachings with his own fluid movements.

He currently serves as Captain Morgan’s right hand man. And as the Captain was once envied amongst his peers, Wullfe is now envied amongst the crew, due to his age. He is usually quiet, and while he may appear cruel, and insensitive, he’s most often contemplative and meditative. He trusts no one, save for his father, and would give his life if necessary to further the dear captains cause.

Alright.. where to start. A couple things wrong with ^ this post.

1. I didn't invite you. It's invite only... But you're my buddy so I'll let you in.
2. I don't know about gay sex.. but.. uh... brown saloon!
3. You have to remember that this is in the time period of Pirates! What kind of weapons did pirates use? Not Katanas... But I'm going to let it slide, 'cause really.. I just don't give a damn.

As far as the Background history goes... I think I can work with that. You can be mah "adopt son" type deal thinger. Concidering your character is 16.. and mine's going to be in his early 30's. It should work out... I wouldn't be so confident on the "unmatched" skills part... everyone can't be perfect you know. Plus, we're drunken pirates, not Super Martial Arts people haha. Pirates are more so... hack & Slash style I imagine.. but some training could help out I guess? I dunno.. Do you understand what I'm getting at here?

As far as your RPing style...

You don't have to mark actions with anything.. it's all about writing.. just write what you're doing. " "'s are good for speech though, keep that up. As for thoughts... I would suggest writing in italics. That's what I usuallly do for my character's thoughts...

Argh! Sorry about the invite only part. And thank you for letting me in! About the katanas...you have a point. So how about scimitars instead? And the unmatched skills part? That's just Wullfes opinion...but that's okay because he's a drunken bastard! Does this add up better dude?
