LOTR - the resurrection of evil OOC

Our tale begins year 140 of the fourth age of Middle Earth. 20 years ago, King Elessar of Arnor and Gondor laid down his life of his own free will like a real Numenorean King should. His wife, Queen Arwen Undomiel left Minas Tirith and went to Lórien where she found eternal rest. As the first of her kin since Lúthien to die the death of a mere mortal. Her soul of being lost and gone instead of returning to the halls of Mandos in the west.

Gondor and Arnor is now ruled by King Eldarion, the only son of King Elessar and Queen Arwen. He is a wise and fair King, perhaps an even greater King than his father was, and definately to find among the most powerful Lords ever to live in Middle Earth. The power of Mordor was broken years ago, and Sauron is no more than an evil spirit. Unable to take form, talk, or affect anyone in anyway, condemned to lurk in the shadows for all eternity.

The Fourth Age is also the age of man, and the last elves, lead by Legolas Greenleaf of Mirkwood, left Middle Earth when King Elessar passed away.

Even though Sauron is long gone, quite a few of his evil minions managed to flee from the forces of the free people of Middle Earth and are now regaining strength beneath the mountains of Middle Earth and in other dark and evil places. The evil realms of men such as Harad and the lands of the Easterlings are gaining in power and influence as well.

For the last 10 years Gondor has been in a war of sorts with the Haradrim. They have been pillaging the coastal cities of Gondor and sent small forces, which were more like raid parties than actual armies to raid the cities close to the border. Gondor has been forced to draw back their forces from the river of Harnen and all the way back to the river of Poros, leaving South Gondor and its citizens in the hands of the Haradrim and their evil orc allies.

King Eldarion has a plan though. He has made an agreement with King Thorin III Stonehelm, the King under the mountain. Moria is believed to still hold great great Mithril resources, and if only the might of Gondor and Arnor could occupy Moria, then the dwarves could settle in their old home and equip the forces of man with the finest weaponry so that they could drive back the forces of evil and make the fourth age an age of peace.

But even though the evil of Moria is believed to have been destroyed by King Celeborn of Lórien and his host, nothing is known for sure about the state of these cursed Mountains in this age. Which is why a party has been sent to investigate if Moria is indeed safe. This party is to be lead by Prince Mithrellan of Dol Amroth, the son of Prince Elphir of Dol Amroth and a sister of King Eldarion of Gondor and Arnor.

This party is to set out from Minas Tirith as soon as possible, but now we need all you brave men and women of Middle Earth to help and join Prince Mithrellan on his dangerous mission

Name: Prince Mithrellan of Dol Amroth

Age: 70

Race: Dunedain with a little elvish blood in his veins due to his ancestry and blood relations to King Elessar and Queen Arwen.

Nationality: Gondor

Weaponry: A sword, a shield with the heraldry of Dol Amroth (a white swan ship on a light blue background), and a chain mail forged from Mithril (family heirloom from the ancient Numenor)

Appearance: Mithrellan is a tall strong man, standing 6 feet 3 with long raven black hair (like his grandmother Arwen Undomiel), grey eyes, and extremely beautiful facial features. For this trip he is dressed in sturdy clothes suitable for clothing, big leather gloves, heavy boots, and a warm cloak.
He also wears his chain mail and brings a shield as well.

History: Mithrellan is one of the most powerful warlords and warriors Gondor has to offer and quickly after taking command of the infamous Swan Knights of Dol Amroth, the became a favourite of the population of Gondor. He is well-liked by everyone and a very kind humble man who will do anything his King tell him to. This should not be looked upon as stupidity due to blind obedience though.
Prince Mithrellan is also very wise and has lead the forces of Gondor to victory against the forces of evil in numerous battles. King Eldarion asked him in particular to undertake this dangerous mission.

You didn't say whether this is an open RP or private. I'm assuming it's open to everyone by the nature of your post, but I wanted to double check just in case others might have wondered.

Yeah, it's an open RP. Figured that if I didn't say it's private then people wouldn't assume so. And I'm sorry about the sig, I know it isn't allowed here, but it just slipped my mind...

I wanted to say how I really love your story line development here! It's very well thought out and extremely well put together. I love LotR so I am thrilled that you've come up with such a detailed and interesting SL here, I'm also half tempted to join! *o*

Thank you kindly Yuna, I'm a big LOTR fan myself (in case there was someone who did not notice hehe) and I have seen and been in a lot of really bad LOTR rp's that adds to the storyline of the original books, so it was important to come up with a storyline that stayed in touch with Tolkien's books. Also those who have read some of his work about what happened after the war of the ring will know that Eomer and Aragorn/Elessar fought quite a few wars against the people of Harad. That's kind of where I got the idea from. And I'd be more than happy to have a fellow fan join the rp

You are more than welcome to join though and if you have any questions or want any help making a character (concerning time line, kingdoms, races, and cities of the fourth age etc) then I'll be at your service. Name: Isolde Angharad (pronounced 'ee-SOUL-dey ahn-GUH-rod')

Age: 29

Race: Human

Nationality: Gondor

Weaponry: Daggers

Appearance: Isolde Angharad is lithe, small built woman. Five feet would be a generous estimation of her height. She had curly, dark brown hair with dark eyes. Her facial features project a misleading sort of delicateness, and her eyes are the biggest thing about her. Her clothing is ragged, usually consisting of peasant tops and old breeches. She also has some fingerless gloves and old brown leather boots, and has bought a traveling cloak for the trip. She has spent most of her life as a thief, so she depends on her speed rather than armor to protect herself.

History: Once a thief, she was captured after attempting to steal the famed sword Narsil. Though this crime would normally result in death, Isolde was only fifteen or so. She was young, desperate, dressed in rags, and...a girl. So it was thus decided that she would be trained to fight and be made to serve Gondor, and repay her debt to society. She is to be released in less than a year, after serving a fifteen year sentence. However, she doesn't have anywhere else to go, so it is unlikely she will leave. A wild personality, she knows exactly how far she can push commanders before being reprimanded. Despite her disobedience, her skill makes her worth the trouble. She's has much experience, and makes a dangerously quick opponent. Isolde mostly goes on missions to serve as a spy, scout, or assassin, because her former profession allows her to maneuver without being noticed.

Nationality: Erokina A small town full of outcasts and infamous exiled warriors near mordor

Weaponry: bare hands until he acquires some in the story, chain mail armor protecting his chest along with a shoulder plate and leg plates as well secured with leather straps surrounding his thighs

Appearance: 5'10 Dark skin bald head, a rough fellow with a strong build, dispite his hard expression permanately engraved in his face he has very attractive manly features, abs and muscles bulding and rippling from his 220 pound frame.

History: Left erokina on horseback after a raid party swept through the town burning the meager life he had built to ashes, he rides east until gondor arrives in his sights, never being outside of the small dangerous town knows little of the big outside world waiting to unravel before him,upon arrival is caught thieving food and brought before the king, but not after beating several of the kings men into the ground profoundly. Token is in prison awaiting judgment, All the preperations were in place after days of waiting, his grand escape. Token smashed the bar of the dungeon down with another prisoners bodyweight and overpowerd the guards (2) running up a winding case of stairs toward freedon, bursted into the kings quarters. Token standing before the royal king with not so much as a hint of how to formally act, he speaks quickly knowing of the punishment for violence and knowing his beheadding is sure to come. "your highness i want to prove myself and enlist in your royal services if you spare my life!" Just as the guards surrounding the doorway grab him, its useless to fight knowing the prison and his escape drained his energy. He could overpower these guards but their is so many its useless, he submits. Token looks at the king hoping that his life will be spared. Seeing the raid parties and the kings influence fading uses his mind and brawn as a means for service. "A raid party has just taken Erokina, and recruited many skilled soldiers, theyll move to mordor and assemble there again your highness, allow me to offer my life to serve you in this time of need to repay my debt...please!"

Your profile looks really good actually. A dark-skinned muscular character is actually very much in place if you are from the area surrounding Mordor as Sauron kept lots of people from Harad as soldiers and slaves working in the fields of Nûrn. So it is very likely for people from Nûrn not to be the most upstanding servants of the King.

You'll have to come up with some sort of reason for you to join the party though. Otherwise it looks good.
