Second day of the T.o.A....
A voluptuous tan woman with brown hair tied in pigtails and maroon eyes, attired in sandals, a black silk miniskirt barely long enough to cover her pelvis and a tight fitting purple tank top which revealed ample bosom and her midriff seemed to be searching for something in an alley way. This region of the city was quite run down, the walls stained with burn marks and filled with bullet holes, giving one the impression that this was the slum. 'Where did that damn cat go?' The young woman thought to herself, 'he knows how easily worried I can be.' Her keen sense of hearing picked up on some heavy foot steps approaching. When they got closer she swiftly turned around. 'Looks like trouble.' A couple of men, clad in baggy jeans and wife beaters all had their guns, either of the AK97 or the MAC 30 variety, pointed at her. “Azriella Kyoshiro, nice performance yesterday, we could use someone like you in the Blood Syndicate.” Azriella smirked. “Oh really?” “Yeah, but it's not your skills we're after, it's your body. We think you would make for a fine whore.” “You'll have to beat me first!” She charged up some of her ki before she shot it at these malicious thugs. Much to her disappointment, the blast was absorbed by some sort of force field. “Think we wouldn't be prepared for you? Ha!” “Damn it!” “We'll give you till the count of 10. If you don't swear your allegience to us, we'll shoot you down right here.” 'Great, I get out of one syndicate and another tries to adopt me!' A telepathic voice, demonic in nature, spoke to her, “The Brotherhood of Doom a mere syndicate? My dear, do give us more credit.” A shadow loomed over the thugs about to lay waste to Azriella. They noticed and immediately opened fire on whatever was casting this shadow. After all of them expelled an entire clip, they couldn't help but stand in awe of this beast whom was not prone to their firearms. He stood seven feet tall and must have weighed nearly 400 pounds with his mighty build. This monstrosity had a shaved head and cold yellow eyes, though that was not as intimidating as his red skin tone. Threads were composed of titanium alloy black armor, a crimson cloak and a titanium sheath for his monstrous sword, the Zanbatoh Enigma, which was as big as him. 'Cadaveras!' The young woman was surprised to see him. With one swing of the mighty diamond zanbatoh, these thugs were diced in two. The demonic berserk motioned for her to come. “Our limo is waiting.” Azriella sighed. She had hoped that she didn't have to ever step foot in the agonizing timeless realm where the Brotherhood of Doom's headquarters resided, but now it was apparent that they would always catch up to her. She followed the barbaric Cadaveras into their black hover limousine and it took off. She saw they weren't alone, noticing a slightly taller woman with black hair, blue eyes, and a figure every bit as delectable. She was clad in the usual pink silk t-shirt, blue jean miniskirt, and knee high black leather boots. “Lucifina...” The said woman grabbed and pulled her into a sloppy kiss. The demon berserker, needless to say, was pleased to see his two servants doing this deed. Minutes later, when the women parted for some air, Azriella saw they were parked in front of the T.o.A. Facility. “I don't understand...” “I shall allow you the remainder of the tournament off,” Cadaveras said oh so cheerfully. “I see...” “We shall be watching you, so this time you won't get away so easily,” Lucifina said while beaming at her. ------------------------------------------------------ Azriella again entered the virtual reality station that could very well be the place of her death. “Please enter your registration,” inquired the monotone, feminine voice of the computer. The young women inserted her smart card into the slot. The computer approved, “Identity confirmed. Maiden of Gloom, please select a battle ground.” “Windsor Castle training grounds, 1100 AD.” Instantly she was transported to Windsor castle where several soldiers could be seen sparring for practice. “Select Armor.” “Set two, please.” Again, she reappeared as a women who was somewhat taller with longer white hair and purple eyes. Her figure, again, was just as delectable as before if not more so, and this time her attire was a tight fitting maid uniform which was cut at the collar to display massive cleavage and the skirt portion wasn't even enough to cover her ass. The weapon was some sort of gun and it looked most futuristic. In fact, it appeared as if it was pulled directly from the video game Quake She started to adjust her aim, prepared for her opposition to show up and blast him or her to kibbles and bits. |

((OOC: I'm a little unclear on the environment for this one [ie are we in the castle, outside the castle, anything that can be used for cover, etc] so I tried to work around it for this post. If you could define it a bit more for me, that'd be greatly appreciated.))
*BEEP BEEP BEEP* Kurt wearily turned his head to face the source of the noise, cracking one eye to affix the alarm clock with the most hateful gaze he could muster. There was a barely audible 'click' before the device exploded it a shower of sparks, Kurt sighing contentedly to himself and letting his head fall back to the pillow as the EMP projector retracted back into his forearm. 'You know...' A voice intoned into his head as he tried to find sleep again, 'Your random destruction of mechanical objects would bother me more if I didn't know you could put it all right back together again.' “Will... Did you hack my system again?” '...Maybe?' “Dammit man! How many times have I asked you to stop doing that?” 'Look, I only patched into your auditory system and I wouldn't have done it if I wasn't concerned with you being late for your next match. Do you even know how much time you have to get there?' Reluctantly opening one of his eyes again Kurt stared blankly at the now smoking remains of the alarm clock on the table beside his bed. Unfortunately it had been a digital display and had been wiped clean when he fried it. “I have lots of time.” He lied as he closed his eyes once more, hoping against hope that that would be enough to placate Will. The equivalent of a sigh passed over the connection as Kurt pictured his longtime friend shaking his head in frustration. 'I had hoped it wouldn't come to this...' “Wouldn't come to wha... Hey! What'd you do?!” Kurt exclaimed as he suddenly felt fully aware, the last traces of sleep being wiped from his body. 'Sent a sound to wake up your body. It's based off the meditation chants that a few cults and religions use to enter trances.' “That's dirty pool man.” He shot back, climbing out of the bed that had been provided for him and grabbing his overcoat off the chair he had slung it over. 'Anything less and you wouldn't have moved.' The disembodied voice pointed out. A smile spread over Kurts' face as he pulled on his overcoat, reaching into one of the hidden pockets to pull out a palm sized metal box that only sported a push button on the front and an antenna out the top. “Yeah, I guess you're right on that one. See ya later Will” He said as he pressed the button on the box, thinking back to the remote charge he had placed under the chair Will always liked to hack from, just enough to knock the legs off it. Chuckling at the line of profanity he stepped out into the hall, making mental note to fix Wills' chair for him when he got back. ------------------------------------------------- The transition from Kurt Sharle to remote consciousness to Zeto Numbra went a little smoother this time, Zeto blinking into existence soon after Kurt plugged in, silver bands once again wrapped around his forearms. “Whoa shit!” He exclaimed as he laid eyes upon the weapon in his opponents hands, the Armguards of the Moon reflexively disintegrating into their particle form to float around his body in anticipation of the weapon being fired. Once these memories were uploaded back to Kurt he may reflect on the use of the powerful gun in a medieval setting, but the persona of Zeto saw nothing but a formidable adversary in a soon to be battleground. Although, he was able to note how he seemed to be pulling female adversaries at this point, an odd occurrence in tournaments but something to be wary of, for they rarely got there by accident. Her stance spoke of nothing but her professionalism, conveying her ability with her weapon but nothing of any possible weaknesses. Her armour barely covered her shapely body, at first distracting, but the threat of the gun she brandished pushed those thoughts aside. “I guess there's no way we can talk things out, eh?” Zeto joked as he began to circle around to his right, hoping to entice her into firing instead of having to charge blindly into the barrel of that intimidating weapon. |

(((OOC: Perhaps this will help describe the environment more?)))
The Maiden of Gloom took note of her opponent dressed in nothing more than ragged black pants and a blue shit. Strong winds blew through the grassy plains outside the stone castle walls where soldiers trained. Immediately, her aim was directed towards him. The holographic non-playable characters paid no mind to them, as they were programmed not to. In fact, you could walk right through them, spit on them or attack them and they wouldn't do a damn thing. “I guess there's no way we can talk things out, eh?” Her opponent's tone of voice gave her the impression that he didn't take this seriously, which angered her. “Not a chance,” she replied, her voice filled with ice. Noticing he was circling to his right, she began circling to her left, which brought her closer to him. When she was but three feet away, she began to sidestep, then backpedal. The maid ran at somewhat fast speeds before she dived backwards onto the ground, firing away at her opponent. Luckily for him, the burst fire on these nailguns weren't the most precise. |

((OOC: Much better, thank you.))
If he hadn't been watching her as she spoke, Zeto wouldn't have believed the voice he heard was coming from her. He barely contained a shiver at the underlying menace she managed to convey in those three words. “Creepy...” He muttered to himself as he watched her maneuver, reflexes primed for the first volley from her weapon. He didn't have long to wait. As soon as she started firing he commanded the mist around him into motion, creating a rapidly spinning field of silver centered on his body. Any of the projectiles that came into contact with the field were instantly coated with silver particles so that Zeto could attempt to force them off course and, if possible, into orbit about his body. Even still, more than one projectile escaped his concentration and grazed past his body, one slamming into the dirt beside his foot and giving him a slight idea for his rebuttal. Once the barrage ended he flung the projectiles he had enticed into orbit right back where they had come from, aiming for the ground just ahead of opponent to throw up a blast of dirt and obscure her sight of him. Before the air could clear he dashed forwards, curving slightly to his left so that he wasn't charging directly at her. Punching at where she had been before the cloud went up, the silver particles condensed and extended in the direction he gestured, creating a spike that lanced out through the dissipating dirt cloud towards where his opponents mid-section had been moments ago. |

'Shit!'
Azriella had to do something and fast to avoid this incoming shard of silver, which appeared most threatening. It closed in at great velocity, so great she would never be able to sidestep unless she used her telekinesis to slow this strike down. Her irises glowed orange for several milliseconds before she used her mental abilities to cancel out this sharp object which could bring great harm to her. While it did slow it down, it didn't slow it down very much. It did, however, slow it down enough for her to sidestep with minimal damage. It ripped a large chunk from her maid uniform, revealing her even more revealing vinyl outfit from yesterday. A couple scratches could be seen below her left oblique area, though it wasn't deep enough to cause bleeding. She sighed at the wear and tear brought upon her maid uniform, so she simply ripped it off, once again fully exposing her skin, with the exception of her skimpy bra and coochie cutting panties. "I don't like it when my precious clothes get ruined!" In a blind rage, she sidestepped to her left and opened fire once again, her eyes narrowing down. posts one and two
I'll just lump you both together for this, seeing as how the introductory posts won't actually be part of the judgment (especially since LS didn't attack at the end of his). I like the setup you've provided, Trev, but it's a bit vague. LS, you did a great job of working around it, and that OOC of yours was a very good idea. Personally, when I think of a castle's training grounds, I think of a field off to the side of the castle where all of the jousting equipment and swords and shields and stuff would be, as well as those medieval-style bleachers. And archery. Yes. You know what I mean? But that was just my interpretation. Anywho, both of your introductions got the job done, and that's what matters. post003 - ultima_trev Quote:

Here's where I'd quote your whole defense and attack phase, but that'd be pointless. So, if I may make some comments... the mist. You were exceptionally wise in choosing your third set of equipment for this fight. It took a bit of debating about whether the mist was vaguely godmodding or not (it's not blatant, at the least), but we decided that it isn't. It's just one of the properties of a piece of equipment, and nothing more than a shield in all reality. That said, I think it's cool. And returning the nails? Nice touch. The morphing spike thing makes for a great attack, too. Aside from one lengthy sentence and a missing apostrophe, I can't see anything wrong with this post, grammatically or otherwise. A very solid post. post005 - ultima_trev Quote:

Aside from that problem, I actually thought it was quite clever, and well-written. Also, the attack phase is simple, yet describes exactly what the character's actions are. Step and shoot. Guns are so simple. XD ultima_trev: Maybe it's just me, but I get the feeling your mind wasn't really in this one. I know you're not generally a complex writer, but everything was exceptionally simple, leading me to believe you're likely distracted by something else, or just not into the tournament any more. While there's nothing bad about your posts, they're somewhat bland... and there isn't much excitement. Liquid Shadow: ...whereas you, on the other hand, provided plenty of excitement with your defense and attack phase. I wish the word "phase" would be plural, but it's not. Still, your single battle post outshines Trev's two battle posts because it has a more intense feeling behind it. Victor: Liquid Shadow With the summaries written above, it shouldn't be a surprise. Trev, I dunno what's on your mind, but your writing almost isn't even yours right now. Hmm. |
