Well you've all waited around for quite some time for a new layout, so Fuzz and I are proud to introduce the new default layout for TFF. I hope you guys like it, because we've both put a lot of work into it. Thanks for being patient and enjoy!

I LIKE IT! It's still the same old TFF, sure, but the feel of it is so much cooler. The buttons are my favorite part, but I'm fond of the overhauled postbit as well. It was starting to get a little junky.

If you're one of those people who doesn't mind a white background, I'd HIGHLY suggest using the new layout, which just happens to be named "New TFF (Wide)."

Later, after the next TFF vB upgrade, I may just be doing a dark skin of this layout, for those of you who always whine about how the white burns your retinas late at night.

Oh and if any of you saw the old Rank images, please hit SHIFT+REFRESH so you will see the updated ones. We changed them..

yeah, I'm glad we finaly finished this bad-boy... it took a little bit, but we finally put our heads together to get a new, fresh design. We found new use of space in the postbit and moved a lot ABOVE the actual member posts.

I hope you all enjoy it.

Loco - Dark on the way, as you said on AIM, you can carve it later... we're in no rush, as long as we finally have a fresh new style out there.

Oh, I'm curious -- as I'm sure all of the n00bs are -- when does the "n00bie" banner turn into a "Member" banner? Is it a certain number of posts or a length of time? A combination?

I figured it'd be good to answer the question before anyone complains about being classified as a n00b.

Yeah.

You remember the TFF v5.1 that you made but never finished? It, unfinished, was better than this one.

I like it, but I don't.

One quick thing: the Super Mod, Member, Newbie, and so forth banners look really bad with their placement when looking at it in comparison to an admin's tiny ass one.

Are the tables on the forum index not lining up properly on purpose for the "last posted" table, or is it a coding error?

Or does Firefox just hate it?

Correction: Merlin was working on 5.1, and the product was rushed to get it released with Fuzz's TFF site overhaul. That's why 5.1 was never properly finished.

I don't have any major problems with it, but I'm gonna admit to being a member of the "white-burns-my-retinas" club, especially when I'm sitting at my computer in my underwear with all the lights out and a bag of cheetos and can of cheez whiz at my side.

Um... sorry, I'm feeling rather random right now. Yeah, anyway I like the new look. Change is good once in a while. And for those who don't like it, they can always go back to the old one.

Well, it is another style to choose from in the long-run. For those who like a darker scheme can use Old Skool, for those who enjoy a lighter side (like me) can use this one or the 5.1 one.

Afterall, variety is better, since it is nearly impossible to please everyone with just one style. Anyways, we hope to get this puppy in a darker scheme sometime soon, I'm lookin' forward to seeing what it will look like.

I'm glad you guys like it. Both Merlin and I are still toying around w/ it, but for the most part we're happy.
