In An Attempt To Breathe Life...

Maybe I was just bored. Maybe I wanted to put off starting my novel for another day while I brainstorm more ideas. Maybe working this weekend made me want to do something that involved little actual working or thinking along with it. I don't know the true reason, but somehow I got the motivation to type out each track in my Video Game Library to post here. Why? So we can compare and share, my friends, which is something Cesar and myself have done for MONTHS now. I'm once again trying to rebuild my collection, and am actually starting to go through my CDs and finding what tracks I need to rip back onto my hard drive. I've found a few gems so far that I need to replace, but anyways, here is what I currently have on my computer...feel free to list yours, too, or even just the ones you feel are excellent that we al should hear. Want any of these? Just ask and I'll try to find the time to send them your way.

The only one not listed right now is The Black Mages version of Clash on the Big Bridge because I'm drawing a blank on which Final Fantasy that one is from, and the file information gives me nothing to help...

Anywho...

I have the I 2 7 & 9 OST's plus the a bit off 8 and 10, I also have the sonic 1 ost, and parts of the Silent Hill1 OST, there is a website in the gaming media section I think with a link to all most games, otherwise most of them are on SoulSeek.

Cool, I thoroghly enjoy the work Nobuo Uematsu has done with the FF series. For anyone checking this thread you can get quite a few good soundtracks off of www.gh.ffshrine.org

I don't have many songs. I have an FF IV Four Fiends MIDI off of this site. I have 7 songs from the FF Tactics soundtrack that oddly isn't any of the game music. I also have a theme from Rastan and I also have Mortal Kombat Trilogy's 30 tracks on my pc. I think thats it. I can list them exactly if someone wants but I'd have to sift through them.

I think there is 2 Golden Axe tracks to, maybe 3.

Woot! Golden Axe!

Edit by Raine: Please try and add more content into your posts. I could think of a lot to expand the "Woot! Golden Axe!"
Thanks, and have a nice day.

Isn't that song from Final Fantasy V? I love that song...too bad I lost the Black Mages CD I had...gotta "recover" it later...

Well...I have quite a lot of songs from anime and games and movies (and also common music) slowly filling up a 4 Gig Flash Drive, so it'll take me quite some time.

Complete Soundtracks:
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Legend of Mana
Parasite Eve
Romancing Saga: Minstrel Song
Saga Frontier
UNLIMITED Saga (yes, it is supposed to be written this way...)

Pending Completion:
Chrono Trigger (have all boss battles, Frog's Theme, the future theme, and Black Omen)
Final Fantasy VII (all battles, all chocobo themes, the first mission song, Cloud's mind-screwing theme, and The Great Warrior. Oh, and also the bike chase theme)
Grandia (this one is slowly filling up. After that, I'll do the second game soundtrack as well)
Saga Frontier II (all songs, but I have had problems with those songs that contain an umlaut...)
Variety of Super Robot Taisen themes (it is very hard to know which songs are good or not, so I have only gotten a few. I'd wich I had the SRT: Original Generations soundtrack, because they have a tendency to improve the songs with each new release...)

Game Songs:
A Warring God - Breath of Fire IV
Absolute Power - Ragnarok Battle Offline: Adventurer's Inn (hey, doujin games are also videogames!!)
Air Fight - Zone of the Enders - The Second Runner
Armed and Ready - Lagoon (obscure SNES game made by former partners Kemco and Seika)
Attack - The Legaia OST
BAHRAM Battleship - Zone of the Enders - The Second Runner
Bastard Sword - Breath of Fire IV
Battle - Revelations: Persona (I absolutely abhor the game, but the soundtrack is pure gold!!!)
Battling KOS-MOS - Xenosaga Original Soundtrack
Beast of Prey - Star Ocean: the Second Story
Beyond the Bounds - Zone of the Enders - The Second Runner
BOSS A/BOSS B/BOSS C - Star Fox 64 (to save up space)
Brand of the Holy Knuckles - The Legaia OST
Confidence in the Domination - Valkyrie Profile OST
Corneria Boss - Star Fox Audio Armada
Cross Counter - Breath of Fire II OST
Culex's Theme - Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
Death Sea ~ Tower of Ruin - Chrono Cross OST
Devil's Enchantment - Ragnarok Battle Offline: Adventurer's Inn
Donden - Breath of Fire III
Dramatic Battle -Breath of Fire II
Dream Land - Super Smash Brothers Melee!! OST
Everyday Battle (voiceclip version)/Fight/Fighting Man - Breath of Fire III
Fighting the Shadowy Gods - Valkyrie Profile
Final Battle - Breath of Fire II
Forsaken Sanctuary - Soul Calibur III
Fortuna Boss - Star Fox Audio Armada
Fuse + - Xenogears OST
Ganondorf's Battle - Legend of Zelda - Takt of Wind (full version; in case you wonder, it's Wind Waker)
Green Hill Zone - Sonic 10th Anniversary CD (try to play it in faster speed to get the speed powerup version)
Happy Blue Rabbit - Ragnarok Battle Offline: Adventurer's Inn
Hollow Bastion - Kingdom Hearts
I'll Do It - Breath of Fire II
Last Battle ~ Brainwashed Kafra - Ragnarok Battle Offline: Adventurer's Inn
Last Boss Andross - Star Fox Audio Armada (I refuse to call it by the real name. I mean, "Andolf"?)
Battle Theme 1/2/3 - Estpolis Biography II, Disks 1 and 2 (basically, that means almost all battle songs of Lufia and Lufia II)
Macbeth Boss - Star Fox Audio Armada
Messenger from the Deep Sea - Ragnarok Battle Offline: Adventurer's Inn
Mighty Blow - Star Ocean: the Second Story
Mission Accomplished - Star Fox 64
More than Words - Breath of Fire III
Mute City - F-Zero OST/F-Zero Falcon Densetsu/F-Zero GX -AX/Super Smash Brothers Melee (why 4 different versions? Don't ask...)
Prepare to Take the Field - Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together
Prince of Darkness - Lagoon
Pure Again - Breath of Fire OST
Queen's Advent - Ragnarok Battle Offline: Adventurer's Inn
Relentless Assault - Tales of Destiny
Rescue Operation - Star Ocean: the Second Story
Run to the Hill of Phantom - Lagoon
Running Shadow - Ragnarok Battle Offline: Adventurer's Inn (the original version and a remixed version)
Sajin no Kanata He - Ragnarok Battle Offline: Adventurer's Inn
Satomi Tadashi's Drugstore - Revelations: Persona (odd name? wait 'til you hear the song...)
Silent Death - Z.O.E. Zone of the Enders
Space Armada - Core Boss - Star Fox Audio Armada
Stab the Sword of Justice - Star Ocean: the Second Story
Stage Start - Capcom Music Generation Rockman X1~6 (this is from Mega Man X4)
Super Big Brother and Me - Ragnarok Battle Offline: Adventurer's Inn
Suprise Attack! - Tales of Destiny OST (nope, no typo, the song is actually called like that...)
The Destined Child - Breath of Fire II
The Incarnation of Devil - Star Ocean: the Second Story
The Invasion from Within - Disgaea: Netherworld Chronicle (the song from Tsunami Bomb that appears in the game)
The Movie - Resident Evil Code: Veronica
The Origin - Z.O.E. Zone of the Enders
The Surrender Robot Dharumanyo - Mystical Ninja ~ Starring Goemon
Theme of Starwolf - Star Fox 64
Titania Boss/Venom Boss (I & II) - Star Fox Audio Armada
We're Rangers - Breath of Fire II
Battle/Last Battle - Xenosaga Original Soundtrack
You're Not Alone - Silent Hill 3 Original Soundtrack (the one who also appeared in the movie's final credits, btw...)
Ganondorf Battle - Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Final Battle - Zone of the Enders: the Second Runner
Introduction - Z.O.E. Zone of the Enders

...

...whew, that's all. Quite a mouthful...

*Probably the songs or the soundtracks are not the official names. Please don't mind that.

**I wrote that almost in song name alphabetical order. If you notice there are some mishaps, is because I wrote the game where it came from first. It's enough having to write all of this, so please bare with it, OK?

Psiko - have you gotten into video game music emulation at all? You can download data files that are mere kilobytes in size, but contain entire NES, SNES, Genesis, even PSX and N64 soundtracks. I have a dinky little folder on my computer that contains just about every NES, SNES, and Genesis soundtrack ever made - and a CD shelf for all the orchestrated/remix/non-sound-chip osts.

Regardless, NES soundtracks are encoded as .NSF files that many winamp plugins/video game music players can read. And, since it's just the music and not the game, I haven't heard of there being any legal beef being brought upon the sites who host these things. As a fellow old skooler, I'm sure you can appreciate having endless hours of 8-bit music resting in only a few megabytes of HD space

EDIT: wow, just realized psiko's post was from almost 3 years ago, and that this thread has been dead for months. got sucked in via the "related thread" box at the bottom of some random other page. hehe - oh well, hope you're still alive psiko!
