Final fantasy collection for the revolution

Hey, what if the creators of final fantasy made a ff collection for the revolution 1-12 it doesn't need extra disks, and people can have a chance to play the final fantasy games that weren't on the nintendo. Does that sound like a good idea to anyone?

Yeah sure, it'll be a good idea but wouldn't it be on the Playstation 2 or 3? I mean mostly the whole series is on that game console. The Revolution I think you can only play the old school classic video games. Except, Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles was on the GameCube and FFTA and FF.Dawn of Souls or on the GBA. Isn't a collection supposed to be a collection of old games?(e.g Megaman collection)

Sure, that'd be awesome to play those games without even having to buy them.

Actually, more games have been released to Nintendo than they have to Sony. FFI-VI and the Legends titles and Crystal Chronicles all go to Nintendo's name, while Sony can only claim FFVII-FFX-2 (and possibly FFXI).

I seriously doubt this would happen though, because SquareEnix isn't a big fan of Nintendo, and they know they'll get more sales through Sony.

Yeah, since Nintendo is mostly targeted to the younger audiences. Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles was kinda like a childrens game since the characters look mostly like little kids. Why doesn't Sony claim the whole Final Fantasy series? Was it because the classic FF was on the NES/SNES? <--Nintendo-->

But both games megaman aniversery collection and megaman x collection have some games that were originally on the playstation. And I think the revolution deserves games that were on the ps2 incuding this upcoming game ff xii, Right?

Wrong, because I don't think the revolution would support the same graphics the PS2 or PS3 has. Or does it? I'm not totally sure because I haven't seen any Square Enix game previews on the E3 05 G4 special or any other resource. But I did hear that a new CCs series is coming for this console, from this forum.

I hated crystal chronicles. Why wouldn't they want us to have a collection? I think the revolution would be able to support ps2 graphics like the gamecube was able to support ps1 graphics.

Umm, yeah, that's exactly what I said in my last post. More FF titles have been released for Nintendo than for Sony. And I left FFT and FFT:A off the list, but that just adds one more title to each company, so Nintendo still has more.

And yeah, the Revolution will feature a new FF:CC which can be played online.

Someone's forgetting that almost all of them were released for NINTENDO, and not Sony. Need proof? Click here.

Look, it's like this. Nintendo won't be getting FFI-XII in a collection, and even if it did, it certainly wouldn't be on one disc. FFXII is two DVDs by itself -- with all of the newest formatting for the next generation, it would still take up an entire disc, and possibly even part of another.

Why won't Nintendo get it? Because, as I said before, SquareEnix doesn't like them. They're keeping the main FF series on the Playstation 3, which means Nintendo won't see any real action with Final Fantasy until FF:CC Online comes around.

It's a great idea, but... yeah, it's not likely to happen.

HOWEVER, do note that you can probably download FFI, FFIV, and FFVI to the Revolution's harddrive, due to the fact that their putting their entire cartridge library online for download. I suppose that's a step in the direction you're pointing, right?

Actually they did say they were going completely multiplatform with the next gen consoles. I could really see them focus on new FFs and an FFVII remake (I'm sure they'll change their mind), and then do ports (via the Revolution's download service) of the classic Nintendo FFs.

Not to mention the rumored FFVI remake/spinoff that Kitase spoke of, could be on Revolution. It would make perfect sense.

...REALLY? Wow, I'm out of the loop all of a sudden. Of course, does this mean FFXIII-XV on all three platforms, or just the fact that there will be games on all three platforms? Unfortunately, I believe it's just the latter. =\

But yes, I've heard about the FFVI remake... as long as they don't butcher the hell out of it, I'm all up for it. That, and FF:CC seem to be the only things headed in Nintendo's direction for the next generation.

Well I would also agree with Loco on the point that theyll probably only make a select few games for the other two consoles (Revolution and 360). I could also see the remake as being a good idea (seeing as I still havent played the original). And the FFVII remake seems to actually be in consideration as Ive said in the actual thread for that.

So, is everyone saying that it would be a good idea for the final fantasy collection to come out on the revolution.

Good idea, yes, but it won't happen, for reason noted above. Not enough room unless you multi-disc it, and becau
