Dragon Riders

O.k, members reading this thread will have to bear with me just a ltitle. Its been a while since i've roleplayed or started a roleplay so i may be a little rusty.

The dragon riders is basically a roleplay about a group of elite mercenaries dispatched all over the world to cities and villages to aid with war, disputes and deal with petty criminals. The rp is set in medieval times and will deal with all sorts of races inclusing elves, dwarves, orcs, humans and the like. The only race i will not accept is demon based characters because i dislike them immensly. Characters are allowed to use medieval weapons and magic.

The only major rule which i will ask of members is that they do not God Mod. I hate people who control others characters. I feel that characters lose their individuality and characteristic when they are controlled by somebody other than their creator.

I'm not setting any particular storyline to this roleplay because i prefer to let members shape the rp so they have involvement with the creation. I will ask though that if members wish to make a post in which they will write about an event they think is signifficant, and should effect theother characters, that they post it in red therfore giving other members an oppurtunity to draw their characters towards that area of story and become involved.

I'd like every character that joins to have a dragon. A little information about the dragon in this roleplay - each character can communicate with their own individual dragon as the dragons are selected for them at a young age and brought up with its rider therefore each dragon is different depending on the rider. Anyway, i won't start the roleplay unless i get at least four people interested enough. So heres my character information..

Characters name: Azriel Darkwing
Characters age: 24
Characters appearance: Azriel is a tall and muscular man standing at around 5'10. His hair is raven black and often bound back into a warriors tail at the base of his neck. His eyes are an emerald green and his jaw bone is very defined and quite chiselled. His attire consists of a black tunic and red trousers which he wears beneath his generals armour. His armour is black with red and gold patterns which represent the dragon riders. A silver chain hangs around his neck holding a large dragon tooth at the end and his hand has a ring with a dragon head upon it - that which is issued to all of the dragon riders.
Characters brief background: Azriel grew up upon a farm in a small village named tepine on the border of a large kingdom. At the age of 6 Azriels parents sent him off to receive a dragon egg after noticing his bond to most animals and an early sign of mage skills. By the age of 12 Azriel was being trained to ride his young dragon and was trained in the ways of a swordsman. By the time Azriel came of age, 18, he was a fully fledged dragon rider and slowly worked his way upwards to gain the rank of general by his 21st birthday. Now commanding large groups of dragon riders Azriel travels the world aiding cities and large kingdoms.
Dragon name: Azreth
Dragon appearance: Azreth is a very large black dragon with a gold tint to his scales. His eyes are a golden yellow, appearing almost catlike. Azreth rides with a saddle which matches Azriels armour.

Character Apperance: Headband of metal, very little armor covering legs arms and tummy Brown eyes, brown hair in a pony tail with bangs. 98 lbs 6 ft tall she has the staff of dreams on her side to fight when needed
Backround: Rai lived on a ocean island with her sister Janaki. One day while they were playing in the field Rai stumbled across a dragon egg. When she touched the egg it glowed blue. When she was 10 the dragon and Rai would play together and catch fish. By the age of 13 she was a very skilled dragon rider and would help the people of her village with heavy burdens. Although now at age 16 she is still clumsy with her landings, the dragon and her have become great friends.
Dragon's Name: Gabriel Water
Draon's Apperance: Gabriel Water is a water dragon. Her skin is made up of pure liquid and is see through. She has two light blue marks from her cheeks to her mouth and has yellow-green eyes

Characters appearance: He is 5'10'' and 157lbs. He has long black flowing hair. He wears silver knight armor. His armor covers up most of his body. He has a dragon tattoo on his neck. He wears a dragon chain around his neck as a momento of his sister. He carries a silver axe on his back.
Characters brief background: Darc was born at the same time as his dragon. When he was 8 his father thought he was ready to handle a dragon. He practiced with his dragon everyday. Drac's father thought Drac in the ways of the axemaster. When he was 15 his sister was killed in a raid. The killers managed to get away. Now Drac helps people while searching for his sister's killers.
Dragon name: Titan
Dragon appearance: Titan is a Earth dragon and it's skin color is brown. He has two horns coming out of his head and it's eye color is red.

[Akira]

Characters name: Akira Sukuo

Characters age: 19

Characters appearance: He stands in at 5' 11" and weighs 190 lbs. He is pretty muscular and wears black and grey armor with the engravings of his dragon, Jin, on it. He has short black hair which he he spikes up. He wears a Katana on his hilt known as "Jin's Revenge" and it is said that the sword entholds a demonic spirit. There are engravings on the blade dedicated to his mighty dragon. There is also a symbol on the palm of his hand which appeared shortly after he met his mighty friend. The symbol has been identified as that of an old culture who has long been dead.

Characters brief background: Akira was the son of the mayor of Ghora and lived a normal childhood. He moved around quite often after his father was promoted to foreign minister. One day when Akira was 7 years old, they're caravan was attacked and raided while they were moving to a new city. The thiefs ended up killing both of Akira's parents and took all of their possesions. Akira managed to survive by hiding under a bench inside one of the vehicles. When he came out he discovered the bodies of his parents. He made his way to the outside only to discover that he was in the middle of a jungle. Slowly venturing into the jungle he discovered a small cave where he decided to rest for the night. While in the cave he found a small round black egg. He took it with him and soon a small dragon baby hatched out of the egg. Three days later Akira was discoverd by passing by caravan who took him to the next nearest town. He was put under the care of a resident couple there and trained his dragon to be obedient and loyal. Many weeks later Akira met a man that said he would take in Akira as his apprentice. The young couple quickly agreed due to the fact that they couldnt care for Akira with their limited income. The man showed Akira the ways of the Katana and trained the boy regularly. During this time Akira was able to incorporate his training to teach Jin new techniques. Many years later Akira joined up in a force known as the dragon riders and quickly distinguished himself as strong and reliable.

Dragon name: Jin

Dragon appearance: Jin is the dragon of darkness and has a completely black body with bright, almost illuminescent eyes and dark bluish tint to his scales. He also has massive wings that go out to both sides and his tail is just as long as his wing length. He is a very strong dragon and exsudes power.

Characters name: Hiarashi Kiri

Characters age: 17

Characters appearance: Kiri is about 5'9 feet tall and weights 177 lbs. he wears pure white armors and cloak. The boy has silver hair and Light blue eyes. mostly in battle Kiri uses powerful healing and ice magics because he isn't very good fighter in close range.. Thats why Kiri also uses white longbow, Hyoton Senshu (Ice element bow).

Characters brief background: Hiarashi kiri was born in snow city called Gelos. his parent were politicians so they didn't have time to their young child. Kiri became separated from his parents. After that boy started wander outside of the city every day, always going further and further. One day he found an icy mountain and that is when he met Chiyu.

Dragon name:Chiyu

Dragon appearance: The Dragon has White Scales And Light Blue eyes like Kiri.
It has two long horns coming out of it's head. when the boy founded her (yes, it is a female) She almost killed him. But then she saw something in this boy, something...powerful so she decided to follow and protect him.

Characters name: Vaine Skyweel

Characters age: 26

Characters appearance: Hight: 5'11" Weight: 184 lbs. Wears gray plated armor with blue and white checkered patterns on some plates. His eyes are grayish green. His helm covers his entire head and his eyes are usually not visible.

Weapon: Blade of Prominence; One handed broadsword with a wide blade. Shield of Melancholy; Shield with two patterns separated down the middle, one half has blue and white checkers and the other has a face crying.

Characters brief background: The love of his life, a young woman whom he was perpared to marry, was killed in a dragonriding accident. He commanded his dragon to take too sharp of a turn in mid-flight and the dragon's head collided with his wing, knocking him unconcious. Vaine crashed and the dragon landed on his girlfriend, breaking her back and neck. Vaine watched her dieing and felt he had to end her suffering by decapitating her with his sword. Vaine is now stone hearted, and will take a life without hesistation. He has no feelings at all anymore and can sleep like a baby. During battle he feels a cold indifference, neither anger nor sorrow. His dragon, Kabamut was born of his sorrow and is a part of Vaine. Kabamut is all his negative feelings taken into a tangible form, and is Vaines way of dealing with his incredible pain.

Dragon name: Kabamut

Dragon appearance: Can stand and walk on hind legs, has multicolored feathers on his wings and blueis purplish carapace or dark blue/black scales over the rest of his body. Kabamut is built like a fast dragon, his neck thick and curves smaller to his head, which has one horn, of blueish carapace curving off his head. His face and back of neck are mostly carapace, and his jaws are hawk-like. His arms and legs are very muscular and stuff. Kabamut is the dragon of sorrow.

Hey, sorry its taken me so long to reply, i've been away on holiday the past week and a half. Everyone who has asked to join is more than welcome to. I'll be starting the actual rp within the next 5 days so keep your eyes open for it. I don't really have the time to check over peoples profiles at the moment but after i get back to my home i'll have a quick browse over them and send private messages to anyone if i have any kind of probems with their profile - although from quickly glancing it looks like your all experienced enough in roleplaying to not mess things up Anyway, will hopefully be speaking to all of you in the next few days.
