Anyway, I played this game years ago, loved it, and forgot about it. Anyway, I have been playing a lot of Mario and been thinking about the RPG a lot. Is it worth the high price it asks for online?

I always loved that game when I was a kid, very awesome game. What are they asking on ebay, 40ish? I guess if you want to be legitimate, its acceptable for the game, assuming you'll actually play it trhough a couple times. Otherwise, emulation is everyones friend

The game is alright, but probably not worth the amount you are looking at. Unless it's $25-30 I wouldn't do it, but I'm an asshole when it comes to money. I don't like to spend too much.

I'd try looking around your town first, usually you can find a good SNES game for a low price. As long as you, ya know, avoid the major game stores like Gamestop and EBGames. They'll charge an arm and a leg.. literally.

This game, although intended for a "younger" audience, is one of my favorite games. At first I was rather unfond of the whole timing system during battles, but now I can truly appreciate it and how it helps to develop coordination and all that other stuff. And how many other non-sport Mario games feature Mario and Bowser teaming up?

Besides, nobody is cooler than Geno! Whoever thought to create him was a genius! Mario has NOTHING on him.

Of course you can all dispute that if you'd like. Feel free to state which one YOU think is the coolest of all?

This is one of my favorite games as well, to me it was THE best SNES game until I got FFVI. But I find the ROM is rather glitchy on me for some reason, and just doesn't feel the same.

I just started playing it, and wow. Just..wow. Its such a fun game. Bowser and the piece of popcorn have to be the most fun characters. And Croco, what a funny genius!

Hey man, he's not a piece of popcorn, he's a nimbus cloud! I think his name is Mallow or something... Didja buy it or just play it on ROM?

But anyways, I've just recently hooked my ol' SNES back up and found most of my classic games and Super Mario RPG was included on the mix! I bought that when it first came out and I'm very glad, the game has provided hours of entertainment.

Best Combo of characters?
Mario, Bowser, Peach. Peach can do some damage when she gets that frying pan... Difficult to get tho.

And Psiko, Mario's so much cooler than Geno.. He can super jump!!

Spekaing of which, has anyone been able to do the 100 Super Jumps, it's hard, but certainly worth it. Super Suit ROCKS!

Woah! This thread really takes me back.. I want to start playing again.

No, I haven't been able to accomplish that feat. I'm not very good at super jumping.. When you level, I just pump all my stats into power, making mario's normal attack extremly strong... No need for any of the other stats.

What's your favourite team?

Hmm well my favorite team was Mario, Geno, and Bowser. I used Peach a little, but I liked Bowsers strength to much to get rid of him and Geno's magic was to powerful to ex him out of the team. So yeah those 3 were my dream team.

My favorite team is Geno, Croco, and Jonathon Jones. If it were possible, that is.... I would seriously play a sequel if it included those characters.

For reals, though, my favorite party consists of Mario, Bowser, and Geno. I think I used Princess for a little while instead of Geno, but to my recollection Geno was stronger. Probably... no, definitely cooler, too.

I remember back in the Fall of 2000, I hooked this baby back up and played it again. Listened to Nerf Herder, The Ataris, and the Smashing Pumpkins for the first time while playing this, too... It took me back to '96, man. I should play it again. I started to not too long ago, but then I stopped, for some reason...
