Memoirs of the Past

12:51...the numbers on the clock seem to imprint themselves in my mind. /Just a few more minutes.../ I tell myself.

The clock softly ticks with every second passing. /Yep, just a few, short minutes.../ Absentmindedly, I drum my fingers against the cold table, first starting with the thumb then ending with last, creating a repetitive loop. /...that unfortunately seem to last an eternity. /

Funny how that works though, but I guess that's what happens when you think about small things like this too much. It's not like I can help it though, the dull voice of the instructor is certainly no mental aid to this unceasing boredom. I aimlessly flip through the issued textbook, hoping to drown out the oh so wonderful lecture we're being given.

"As you all know, many researchers have spent countless of years studying the various forms of magic and its origin. Some say that magic was once lost to the world for centuries until it was reawakened during the Magi Wars."

I mentally groan, wanting to just drop dead from breathing the sullen air. It's not like the topic isn't interesting, it's just how he delivers it. My eyes quickly dart towards the clock once more. It reads 12:52, adding only more discomfort to my current state. /All that and just one minute...oh god just strike me now. /
Slowly, I close my eyes, shutting out the picturesque forms of the backs of numerous heads. It was then my mind began to wander. Oh how I wished to be outside, to take in the crisp, fresh air. How I yearned to lay on the grass and just stare out into the open; watching the sun slowly kiss the sky and paint it with exuberant tones of crimson and gold. How I longed to feel the brush of the cool, night breeze by the harbor, gazing at the rippling waters basked in moonlight.
But...no...

Here I was stuck in this stuffy classroom listening to this know-it-all instructor speaking in his monotonous tone that could probably wipe out an entire colony with its dullness. And no I'm not exaggerating. My left eye opens slightly, eyeing the man who is still caught up in his speech. The sudden sound of a bell ringing rouses me from my dreamy state. /Thank god.../ I can't help but smile as I stand and begin putting away my class things. I shoulder the black bag and proceed to head to the door marked with my freedom.

"Mr. Ritz...one moment please."

If I was in car driving at full speed, that voice only could have caused my crash and burn. /So close...and yet so far. / I delay my 180 degree turn to the maximum it could possibly be, an innocent smile plastered on face.

"Yes Mr. VanJani?" I replied pleasantly. /I swear I disgust my self at times.../
The man doesn’t seem to buy it though. He simply sighs and heads toward his desk, indicating with a hand for me to follow. I reluctantly do so and lean myself against a desk while awaiting what the instructor had in store for me. "Mr. Ritz, I am assuming you are somewhat concerned about why I'm having this chat with you."

/Ding ding ding! We have a comedian here. / I gesture with a shrug of my shoulders that I have absolutely no idea.

"About that last paper you turned in..." he began to say. His facial expression was about as stiff as a rock.
/Great/ I thought. /Here it comes now...your paper was absolutely.../
"Your paper was absolutely..."
/Terrible...as usual. /
"Wonderful. Simply, magnificent." He said with a smile on his face. Still in my thinking state, I didn’t quite grasp what he said until a few seconds later.
"Look Mr. VanJani, I promise I"ll do better next, wait huh?" I stared at the man in disbelief. /Is the man serious? /
"I'm quite pleased with all the work you've put forth. Keep up the good work." He smiles and pats my shoulder as a sign of accomplishment.
Still in a state of shock, all I do is nod. I feel myself walk slowly out into the hallway.
"That was...awkward."

I threw the guy through the window and turned around and looked at his buddy's and said "All I wanted to know is if you have seen this man." I was holding a picture of him holding me as a baby. The guy's buddys lunged at me and I jumped out the way. I then ran at the guy that turned around first and swung at him with a jab. He was hit in the face and fell to the ground. Then the other guy ran at me at full speed and I kicked him in the head. The guy flew back into a wall. A man walked outside one of the houses and said" Thank you for helping us with that problem." I looked at him and said" I wasn't helping you I was really helping my self but, hey no problem."

I walked to the inn and I heard everyone cheering and yelling thank you. I thuoght to my self " all i did was beat up some weak fools that were stupid enough to attack me and I get prasied." Then I walked into the inn and the inn manager said" You do not have to pay to sleep for the night it's on us." Well this was great" I said in my head. I headed up to my room and went right to sleep. I was sleepy from that battle. I woke up the next morning real early to leave. As I was walking outside store manager next door was beibg beat up. It was by a big muscle bound man. Then over him say" You should have given me your store now I will kill you and your famliy." That's I decicded it was my turn to get into this.

"Leave him alone and pick on somebody your own size you overgrown ape" I yelled to him as I dropkicked him in the head. The man moved back alittle bit but not much. The man then grabbed me by my neck and yelled" DRAGON CRUSH!" He then threw me in the air and when I was coming down he hit me in my stomach and then punched me into a wall. This was not going to be an easy battle.

(OOC: You do realize the RP is leaning towards a modern-life scheme right? And how will your post exactly relate to other people? Also please PROOFREAD your post! It's a bit hard to understand and you've got some spelling errors.)

Pryce walked down the street with his totebag slung over his right shoulder. He had some reading he needed to catch up on and thought that the library would be an ideal place to go. Just as he turned the corner, a sudden crash was heard. Before him in a pile of rubble from some walling, lay a bruised figure.
"What the hell?"
Pryce bent down toward the figure. "Hey man, you okay?" The sounds of an another person approaching caught Pryce's attention. He turned and saw towering before them a larger bulky man. His face displayed cockiness and anger.

kai walked along the street and watched as the man approched
this guy was huge and very muscular,his body was as big an SUV,he was carrying a Metal bar that was very thin and kind of rusted
,Kai stepped in front of him
"hey,you better back off buddy,im not afraid to kick your ass"
Kai said as the man swung out of anger,Kai stepped to the side
Kai kicked him in the balls and knocked him down to the ground in agony
,then man wasnt quick to get up from the pain in his groin

"I havent faught someone like you in a while" Kai said as his Demon armor appeared,it was black with spikes comming from the back of it,it enlarged as it came from out of nowhere,the spikes came out from it with the sound of a blade comming from a scabbard,
he then unshiethed his blade,it was Black with Flames comming from the hilt and running off the blunt side of the blade,the hilt had a Wolf's head on it and in the wolf's mouth was a Red ruby.

"heh,noow im going to use my sword,think you can handle it"he said slicing the mans chest,blood flew from it,his blade pieced the mans heart killing him.

I had awoken again, in a strange new place. This world was different. Seems the darkness has not spread across it just yet. Grudgingly I brought myself to my feet, gazing across the streets in which I had been laying. It's not the same streets I knew from the few places I've gone, and I could hear the sounds of a raging battle nearby.

I thought 'twould be best if I walked by, just to see what fiends I'll be up against this time. To my surprise, I saw a giant man peering into a hole, that I was guessing he just made. The dust hadn't even settled yet. Two others were on the other side. Didn't seem like a fair match. I walked up to him, drawing my blade.

"You sir, are making a big mistake in attacking peasants." The lumbering behemoth peered over, somewhat bewhildered at the words I spoke.

"Who the hell are you?" He said, in a deep voice. Speaking from his gut.

"... Such arrogance and disrespect would have me kill you... but I do not know the laws of this kingdom."

"What the **** are you talking about!?" With those words he charges towards me.

"Tsk, tsk." I bring my sword down upon his neck. It slides cleanly off of my blade and rolls a bit down the street. Before me... the body of the behemoth man went limp and fell to the ground shortly after. I gaze over at the other two, who now stood at the broken wall. "... Good day, sirs." I said. They didn't reply so I went on my way.

"Okay....that was creepy and weird." Pryce dusted his school clothes off and looked toward the other figure who was becoming smaller and smaller in the distance.
"What the hell is going on!?" Pryce looked on with disbelief and continued heading in the direction he was originally going.
"So I didn't just see a guy get his head chopped off, 2 street-punks, and a formal person wielding a blade...right?" Pryce asked himself.
"I really gotta lay off on the coffee. I'm sure I'm just having a strange hallucination."

Kai walked away,he slowly made his way across the hard concrete slab he was on,the moon was starting to send it light upon him with it dazzling radience,it was white as an Angel's wing
looking at this moon reminds me of all those times we came here,and watched the moon,i wish you were still around right now
as kai watched the moon his heart relaxed,he sat against the tree,still thinking about the Angel that he once love,he couldnt remeber her name but somehow he couldnt forget her

[Rain McCloud]

I continued on my way, down the streets. I could sense one of the other beings that had been at the wall, watching me go my way. It didn't matter. I wasn't here to make friends. Just finish what I started. On the way, a strange screech could be heard, quickly approaching. Unsure of what this new creature was, I drew my sword and stood my ground.

It came around the corner; A somewhat flat creature with weird lights on its back. It was rushing towards me at an incredible speed and made some other sound as it approached. I didn't know whether it was a threat, or just running towards me... I just did what came natural. "... Dark Blade!" Swinging my sword horizontally, its dark blade sent out a massive shockwave, throwing the creature into a nearby wall. The strange screeching stopped, but I could see a hume inside the creature. I slowly walked up to it and stabbed a side of the beast once more to make sure it was dead. The hume was unconcious and I could hear more screeching. I had to go.

I took off down a nearby street, casually walking as always. This world is strange. I could swear that that hume was controlling the monster from it's insides...

I looked at the kid and the other guy who was standing by me. I stood up and then said" Okay who are you guys and why is that guy''s head on the ground."
I felt kind of strange around these two guys. I looked around to see where we were. I was standing in a library and the pieces of the wall were lying on the ground. "The names Blitz and i'm looking for this man "Please if you have seen him let me know" I said to the both of them.

OOC:Hope this is easy to understand.

Kai still sat against the tree,he had fallen asleep for a moment
"who are you,get off my property"
someone's voice awakened him
"....what?,what do you mean this is your property,you dosh bag,shut up"he said as he punched the man aside,the man's wife was in a nearby house and was already calling the Police
"who do you think you are kid"said the man who was lying on the ground with blood comming from his lip

"put you hands up,this is the police you are under arrest"a booming voice said as a bright lighit shone in Kai's eyes
"turn out that damn light you jack ass"yelled kai as he run up with amazing speed and bucted the light and kicked one of the men,he felt a bullet shoot into his armor,the pain felt like he had been stabbed with a blade,blood flew from his skin as he flipped in the air and landed on all fours
"what the hell was that you bastards"he said as he flund his claws sliced thier heads off one by one
"thats what you get for causing me pain"he yelled as the last man fell to the ground,about 30 seconds lated a S.W.A.T team arrived but he was already gone.

(OOC to add to Kjata's post, please make longer posts. Add the details. You leave us in the dark with single line posts. I still don't understand what's going on. That's why I went my separate way.)

I continued to travel down the street a little ways. In front of me seemed to be a place to get food and such. I could see people stopping at a window, talking to a person inside and getting a bag of what I'm guessing is food. Then they pay for it using these strange green slips of paper and another strange object I can not define clearly. I chose to sit upon a nearby chair-looking structure. I pulled my old helmet off and simply relaxed for the task that would soon approach me.

I thought about many things during this time. Why the darkness took me here. Looking around, I saw many of those strange, noisy, hume controlled creatures. They seemed truly civilized in the manner of their movement and such. It was an interesting sight. Just then, a small girl obscured my view.

"Hi sir... why are you dressed funny?"

I had never seen such a beautiful young girl. Smiling I replied "I am from far away, young child." She sort of looked over my armor and such, and pointed towards my helmet.

"Can I try it on?"

"No dear girl. Such a thing as this is not for a lady. You can look and touch, but never wear such a burden." She walked up to it and looked closely at it.

"It's really cool."

Suddenly her mother returned to her side. "Come Sarai. It's time to go home." She comes close and grabs her daughter's hand, guiding her away from my spot and asked her a question that made her walk back to me.

"Mister, what's your name?"

"Rain... Rain McCloud." I said still smiling. The little girl than ran to her mother and told her my name in reply to the question. It was safe to assume she had asked, who were you talking to just now? Going on their way, the lady looked at me weird and nodded in my direction, leading her daughter off. YEs, I had to admit, I looked quite funny wearing armor in a society that seemed to bear none. Carefully I stood up, placing the helm back upon my head and began walking into what appeared to be the business district of this strange world... hoping to find some less obvious garments for myself.

Panting heavily, Pryce arrived at the library. The solid oak doors shut soundly behind him. "Finally, lost him." Pryce gasped while taking some deep breaths. After regaining his compsure he slowly walked down the stone hallways. His footsteps echoed throughout the vast area with each step. Tap...tap...tap.

Finding a corner, Pryce settled into a chair to rest. At this point the bag he was carrying was unceremoniously dropped and spilled out its contents. A pen rolled away down a corridor. Pryce stood up and walked down the hall after the pen. He felt the ground trying to find the lost object. His searching came to an ubrupt end when his head hit against wood.

"Ow!" Pryce sat onto the floor and rubbed his head. "That hurt." He looked up and noticed the door in front of him.

"REFERENCE ONLY. Not open to the public"

The door was slightly open and in the shadows Pryce saw his glistening pen. He looked around and cautiously headed inside. He smiled and picked up the pen.

"Finally, got you." Pryce stood and looked around. The room was dark but he could tell that the shelves were full of books. Just as he began turning around a sudden plop noise caught his attention.

There on the floor lay a book, fallen from the shelf. Curiousity getting the better of him, Pryce walked towards the text and picked it up. "What is this?"

He looked over the title. "Memoirs of the Past..." He turned the book over and gave it a thorough examination. It was old and a bit battered. The pages were flimsy and aged. Pryce delicately flipped open the cover and began reading.


(OOC: Bwahaha I'm finally getting to the RP plot now. It took me awhile to figure out how to get it rolling.)

Kai was up on top of a building,he could hear a woman and a man fighting,he heard them hitting eachother,then he heard a scream
I'd better do something before he kills her

Just before the man started to kill her kai busted into the window and unched the man with his weaker left arm,knocking him onto the tan colored floor,blood flew from the mans lips as he hit the ground and slid against the wall
Kai looked over at the badly beaten woman,he walked over and picked up the man and jusped out the window
"wait who are you sir?"yelled the woman out the window,but kai was already gone
what was going one there,were the on diffrent sides of a war or something...
thought Kai to himself as he ran up to a fence,he threw the man over it breaking his neck in the hard ground.
