Just to start this up i'll tell you what i think. Since i'm playing both of them at the same time i think that FFI is a good game. In this game you pick what kind of class you want to be. FFII is a game where there is a really good storyline and it's a bit of an improvement from FFI. They are both good games and i'd recommend it to anyone

i posted the poll because at the time i just learned to make polls and was trying it out. i also thought it would be a good idea to have a poll just to see what people think.

I hate the overreactive linear paths on the map in FFII. I was at the beggining of the game and went a square or two off course, and suddenly I'm fighting enemies way out of my league that slaughtered me in one turn! How cool is that? not cool at all.

I agreee, both were good games, but FF1 was way better. i didn't like 2's system of weapon leveling up. you had to keep a certain type of weapon equipped or the character would be weaker. |

I think FFI was brilliant, really, no really
It was so cool to play, and I hate people who are shallow and say that the graphics suck, when I'm playing, I do'nt care, that came was so addictive, I just loved it, as for FFII, i didn't really like it, i didn't hate it, it was still a good game, but I enjoyed FFI the most of Origins. ![]() |

I, too, have heardthe uncouth(tee-hee) remarks about FFI's graphics. I think they are actually very nice because they're simplistic.

i like both of them. But there is a few thing i don't like about each of them. First of with Final Fantasy I the whole every town you go to the inn is more expensive. What up with that. Out of the Final Fantasy's I've every played i never saw an Inn cost more than 100 gil. I can undestand about the weapons, armor, white magic, and black magic becoming more expensive. Besides that Final Fantasy I was a good game. Now Final Fantasy II there are a few things i can't stand about it. First of the leveling up. It was really confusing firguring out how that system works and i don't like the system at all. I like the regular leveling up when you get experence points. Next the whole if i walk in certain areas the monsters are hard to beat unless you have really good armor levels and weapon levels. The last thing i don't like about the game is when eventually for those of you who have gotten to inside the Dagrounut. I know i didn't spell it right but who cares. But anyways once inside the airship alot of the soliders that you verse after defeating them are still standing where they are. I find that really annoying. But i made the citation better by figuring out that it this would be a good time to start to train. But besides those little things i like both of them and would recommend anybody to buy it.

As a hardcore Old Skooler, my opinion will never change. I prefer the NES version, and always will. They change too many things when they remake the games, and while some of the changes are good, many of them annoy me to no end. But of course they have to bottle-feed all these "New Skool" children with pretty pictures and remove some of the most challenging aspects of the game. Why not just remove Cure 4 from Chaos' arsenal, you know, because all those other changes make the game 100 times easier already. Might as well just hand the victory over to the n00bs...
I better stop my rant because these remakes are a sore subject with me...as I am sure you can tell. And who the F*** needs a good storyline to make the game good? Some of the best NES games of all time have no real storyline, after all. Super Mario Brothers is simply a plumber saving a princess from an overgrown turtle who keeps her kidnapped in a castle. Paperboy is just a kid on a bicycle tossing newspapers. Tetris has no storyline at all, yet the lack thereof makes it no less of a great game. Not all games need an Epic like Final Fantasy VIII to make the game worth playing (and VIII's storyline is the ONLY thing that makes it worth playing, IMO)
