Tattoo Artist with MAD SKILLZ + Zelda = AWESOME Tatoo

Just came across this recently on another board.

That's some awesome talent. It took 9 hours and cost $400 to do.

Oh and can anyone spot the one detail that's different between the tattoo and the original artwork?

I saw that yesterday on VGCats, that's just amazing. The detail, well, I dunno. I'm guessing it has to do with the shield design.

And Cain, I hope you don't mind, but for the sake of expanding the conversation in this thread, I wanna ask a question:

If you were to get a gaming tattoo, what would it be? Also, where?

I probably wouldn't get a tattoo, period, because I'm a big wuss. But if I had balls, I'd probably have something Suikoden-related. It's my favorite game. Probably a rune of some sort. As for place, no clue.


edit: just noticed, but the triforce in the tattoo isn't on the original.

Same here. And I can't honestly think of anything specific, somethign either SNK or Square related. I wouldn't mind that Zelda tattoo though. On a related note, I was thinking if I had my own car, how I would add decals on the windows with NGPC sprites of some of my favorite characters.

Well I guess I didn't notice thazt. But, I was looking at the fact that the shields look different (the tattoo has an OoT-style shield)

As far as i can tell the difference is that the original is in colour and the tattoo is black and white!

Wow, that guy must be quite a Zelda fan, I love the series, its probably my favourite, but I wouldn't have something that size done.

A little triforce wouldn't be bad, because I like how they look and not because it was in a Zelda game. But It'd be small and on second thoughts, I'd probably never have anything done.

Man that look pretty awsome. I would not get something like that done. Not a game related anyways. I would get something demotica. I already have my tattos planed out. I am getting two. Well thats what I have come up with. I will probly get foru tattos all together on my body.

I would get a tattoo of Shigeru Miyamoto. It might look funny, and it would be hard to explain to people why I have a tattoo of a Japanese man on my body. But I'll tell you what that guy is the bomb and deserves the recognition.

The reason he said "if he had balls" is because he'd want it there. Go on... admit it.

Now those are some really artistic skills. Lucky for the guy getting the tattoo that nobody unprofessional was doing it......someon like me. I'd probably accidently stab him boob or something.

Anyways, I noticed quite a bit of differences and that was only after a quick glance. First, the shield is different as you mentioned. Second, the triforce image was added at the bottom. Thirdly, the original is squared off at the top and includes some flower-like images whereas the tat is rounded off at the top leaving that portion away (although that was probably intended as to keep it more aesthetically pleasing). Anyways, the minor differences don't take away from the marvel.

I'd probably get a Berserk tattoo of some so.......never mind. I'll never get a tattoo because a 60 year old with a discolored anime tattoo is quite the sorry sight.

I want to get a tattoo, probably on my arm somewhere so it's visible, and maybe one somewhere where only when I'm nude can it be seen, and only then by the guys I'm with. There aretwo problems, thought, that I need to resolve before I get it done. The first one is, that I know a good Tattoo Parlor with some good Artists, but it's freaking too expensive! 175 $ + per Tattoo, I really can't afford that! I wish I could, when I can I will do it!
I used to be scared of the pain, but I figured, what the hell, I have a plan to change the way I look anyway, if it works, a Tattoo will probably look sexy on me, and it will show how much of an RPG fan I am!

The second one is, that I want something that is FF-related, or maybe Saga Frontier or Secret Of Mana, but I really need to pick a good design/picture! Something that looks totally cool and hot, and something I can live with when I'm walking aorund normally!
So, I'm trying to figure out how to look at all the different possible designs/pictures, and then I will decide, once I can afford it!
I want one or two, and it'll be awesome, when I get it, especially if I change how my body looks right now, which I'm working on right now!
