Kill or be killed
occ- Experienced RPers only!! this RP has no set plot cos I dont know what I am doing. If you're not creative enough to introduce SENSIBLE twists in the story then please dont bother posting =P. Im serious. If you ruin this RP i'll go berserk.LOL
"Miss..miss..The bar is closing." The gentle voice of the middle-aged bartender was enough to wake her up. She could've beaten him up because that was the first time she finally fell asleep in days. She was a mess alright. "Wha...? How much do I owe you?" she asked covering her mouth with her hands as she yawned, her breath smelled like alcohol. "That would be 478 gil." "What?? You've got to be kidding me?? That's exactly how much money I have left.." she hissed grabbing the small pouch that hung on her waist. At least she was thankful that no one dared to steal it from her. "Here. No tip okay? Sorry about that...*hic*" "Okay. I believe that this will be the last time I see you here since you have no money." "Prolly, unless I manage to get some more money somewhere." "They dont grow out from trees darling. Now you better go. It's late" Like I have somewhere to go Romi thought as she exited the bar. It was a breezy night. Some of her skin exposed with the tattered jeans that she wore. A worn leather jacket over a black tank top. Her long black hair pulled back by a messy pony tail as her bangs covered most of her face. She looked like a mess indeed. Even stray dogs would be scared of her if they see her. She walked through a dark alley no woman should even think of passing through in a city like this. Who knows what evil lurked in the darkness. But Romi had some other business here...she had an 'appointment' "You drunk again Romi? What's wrong with you?" the voice at the end of the alley said. "None of your business. So what's up?" Romi replied with a slur in her voice. She leaned her shoulders against the wall, probably because she couldn't stand up straight anymore. "Something's coming up in this city. You should be ready." "Ready for what? I'm dead remember?" Romi snapped. Her arms swaying in all directions almost missing her balance. "Romi, heed my warning. We've never seen anything like this. Your 'skills' might be needed" and the figure disappeared in the darkness. occ - crappy intro. I dont even know what's gonna happen.lol. So yeah. anything goes but dont get too crazy or i'll beat you all up =P |

The night was dark and damp, still covered from the ominous storm clouds. The air was still with a slight chill, indicating the coming of winter. The leaves on the trees in the small park had already changed and fallen, leaving the trees naked and exposed to the harsh weather.
Cael slowly walked through the park, examining every little detail of his surroundings. It was more of a bad habit than instinct or skill. His shoulder length silver hair outlined his pale face. His bangs fell over his icy blue eyes, adding to their piercing stare. He wore a black leather trenchcoat that slightly scraped the damp dirt path, adding to the sound of his black boots. His black shirt was cut in a large, gaping V shape on the neck line, revealing a deep, V shaped scar on his chest. A battle scar matching the V carved into his left cheek. His jeans were black and slightly baggy, but not loose enough to affect his mobility. He had a good build, making it seem he was slow and powerful, but he relied more on agility than power. His amazing speed has surprised most of his enemies, giving him the advantage he needed. Nobody knew Cael's age or where he came from, but by his face they judged he might be 20 years of age. Everytime they would ask him, he would only shrug and mutter 'Time is only an illusion.' He studied at Soaring Future University. He didn't have any friends, he was a loner, but because of that, people wouldn't leave him alone. He sighed, his breath a tiny cloud of water particles frozen by the coming season. Lately Cael had been uneasy, he had the feeling that something terrible was going to happen. Cael figured it must have been stress, he has had a lot of exams the past week. That's why he walked through the small, nameless park. However, even the chilled air of his favorite season couldn't clear those feelings, it only made them stronger. A branch snapped in the nearby trees. Cael stopped walking, his eyes shifting to the source. His ears twitched eagerly, searching for any new sound. After a few, seemingly long moments, he heard the sound he was waiting for. A high pitched whistle. In one quick, agile movement, he unsheathed the two swords hidden in his trenchcoat and blocked another sword to his left. He strained to see his attacker in the deep shadows, but saw nothing, not even a sword. Yet, he heard the unmistakable, dull clang of steel against steel and still felt a weight pushing down on his crossed blades. His eyes narrowed in frustration, the opponent was strong and was winning. Cael put all of his strength into the blades, trying to break the lock. He failed, in one, easy movement, the invisible creature broke the lock, leaving Cael stunned for a few seconds. Long enough for the creature to strike at Cael in a series of agile, accurate thrusts. Cael regained his senses quickly and jumped back, knowing what the continuous whistling meant. Even though Cael was skilled with his swords and agile, he couldn't keep dodging forever, and he had never faced an invisible opponent before. Dodging all of the equally skilled attacks made by the creature, Cael's mind raced for a solution. In the corner of his eye was a street lamp, illuminating a small part of the dirt path. Surely even an invisible creature must have a shadow, right? Cael didn't have any choice but to find out. Making one last dodge, he raced to the light. The creature followed, not willing to let its prey escape. His heart raced as he ran, surely it had not been this far. Had it? The creature was closing in on Cael, he could hear its movements on the dirt path. Slowly it got closer and closer to Cael, full with blood lust. Finally, Cael reached the sanctuary of the light and turned to face his opponent just in time to block another sword attack. Right away, Cael noticed the shadow, a large human shaped creature with bat-like wings and large, curving horns. He had been right, the creature was not invisible, but somehow it had manipulated his mind into not allowing his eyes to see it. Very clever, Cael mused. Now at least he had a chance. After a few blocks and dodges, one nearly missing his neck, he began to fight back, making equally agile attacks as his opponent. After slightly wounding the beast, the shadow creature realized Cael's progression and the reason and directed it's anger at the lamp post. Cael cringed as the lamp started to flicker. It would make this battle harder to fight, and he had to protect what little light remained. He stepped between the creature and the lamp, continuing the stalemated battle, knowing his movements were restricted. Cael ducked under a high thrust and slashed the creatures ankles, then quickly blocked an attack aimed at his chest. Using one blade he blocked another, half-hearted attack and slashed at the creature with his other sword. The creature howled as black blood soaked into the dirt. Knowing the distraction of pain would last only mere seconds, Cael took a fatal risk and rolled around the creature and managed to climb onto its back. He crossed his blades around the creatures neck, and, using all of his remaining strength, closed the blades. There was a sickening grind of bone as blood covered Cael's face and hair. The limp, inhuman body dropped to the ground, taking the tired Cael with it. Laying on top of the beast's dead body, he thought about what had just happened. Realizing there might be more, Cael weakly pushed himself up and slowly staggered back to the University. The inhuman body and head melted with a sharp hissing, leaving no trace of the battle besides a broken lamp post. (OOC: Sorry if near the end I got kind of repetitive or, well, bad, but I'm really tired, and everything's starting to blur, lol) |

A shot could be hear in the icy breeze of the cold nights, followed by a horrible cast of silence, almost as if void was something for sure, among the rooftops three persons ran jumping between the rooftops, they were chased by a man in his late who appeared in his late twenties, he was dressed in a elegant black suit, and in his hand he held some strangely designed gun, he followed his prey close by, but it seemed as if their haste was just too much a match for him. Three women in the run, now it was clear they had passed over almost seventeen blocks in this chase, without the running stopping except for the man who released several gunshots at them, now in the dim moonlight, it was clear that these persons running were women, and that they were horribly pale, and scared, dressed in simple clothes, two of them wore jeans while the other wore a short skirt, the three shared the same kind of blouse, as if they were dressed in some sort of uniform.
“Damn, we're almost at the docks” - the man thought realizing the shaped industrial buildings next to those they were running, most of the rooftops were uniform, some a bit higher than other, it was a common design of three stores buildings, and they moved without fear int the jumps - “If they get to the docks, I'll lost them for sure, this is over now, I'm tired of the running” - He stopped the run and went down to one knee; the women realized this and their shock of terror just emphasized, and they pressed on their running, they could already see the water from their location, but it was far from the rooftop, at least a ten yards leaping would be needed to reach the water, but the women jumped the r reached an amazing altitude and it would seem as they would be able to reach their purpose, but then a loud shot was heard and their leap was stopped as they fell hurt right to the floor. They landed hard to the floor, a three stores fall that would have killed anyone, yet these women just growled in pain from the hit, as they bled from a common wound they three had on the stomach, it was gunshot that had went through them, and pierced their stomach from the back; they slowly tried to get up, just to see the man on the roof contemplating at them, one took the lead and screamed - “DAMN YOU JORGE GONZALEZ, I AM GOING TO KILL YOU WITH MY BARE HANDS” - As she screamed long fangs stretched away from her mouth, and her eyes turned completely white, she made a direct jump towards Jorge reaching the roof in less than a second, but as she tried to hold him within her grasp, she just found the gun aimed directly at her face, and a single shot was made. The other two women shrieked as they knew their companion's fate and tried to get up and follow the run, but as they stepped up, the man started to go down from the roof; not in a direct shot, he jumped first to held himself over a sign's letter, that was in front of the building, he sled from there and jumped, reaching the small peek of a window almost an store below the letter, he then made a jumped an rolled over his body in the air landing near the women. They were shocked and terrified by his presence, as he buttoned his suit and walked slowly towards them. “No, no, no señoritas.... It's not proper to make a gentleman to run for so many blocks, is it?” - he said in an ironic tone as he sparkled an small grin - “Ahora, let me ask you one more time: where is the hiding house? Where are the rest of your kin?” “Damned the womb that conceived you Gonzalez, we wont say word of it” - the one farther from him said in a defying tone, she was trembling as she spoke, but managed to hold a grip over his emotions as she quickly transformed the same way her dead companion and tried to make a run towards Jorge “Wrong answer”- Jorge lifted his gun in a swift move, and again a shot was made, again sounding much more loud that a normal shot, the woman fell flat back, she had four injuries made, two on her face, one on her neck and one on her shoulder. Jorge looked without hesitating to the other woman closer to him and said - “Well my friend it seems as we're alone now, perhaps you could inform me better than your two dead friends, I don't think i need to make myself clear about the question again” “You know i was there? That night 25 years ago, i was there, i saw everything” - Anger started to rise in the Jorge's face, he was clearly disturbed by those words - “You might not remember me but it was i who took your little twin brother, and i enjoyed his flavor down in my fangs, you know he died crying? He could not understand what was happening but he still trembled seeing death come to him” “SILENCE” - Jorge raised his gun obviously disturbed, but when he was about to take the shot the woman made a circular turn with her body at blinding speed grabbing his left hand with her right one and pointed his gun out of her range, she raised her right leg trying to him him with her knee, but he blocked her leg with his right elbow; then using the strength of the block she continued her spin and tried to hit his neck with her left elbow, but he stopped it putting his right hand behind of his head with the palm open, he grabbed her left arm and made a fast move spinning her and tossing her to the ground - “Do you think I'm stupid? I do recognize you, but you're not more than another prey for me, I also know that you're stronger than me, but do you think I've been hunting your kind for almost my entire life and not know what to expect from you. I'm utterly disappointed” - He raised his gun and made a series of shots to her, until she lay still on the floor without moving, the he putted away his gun in what seemed a conceiled holster over his shirt, he buttoned his jacket and released a displeasing sigh. He turned back and started to walk away; Jorge raised his sight and saw the place he had just ended - “A bar..... Sería util en otra ocasion, it's a shame that it's closed by this time of the night” - He started to walk out of the docks when suddenly a woman came out of an alley, puking as she walked - “Hey miss, watch out, this is a two thousands Gil suit” - She looked at him with a drunk face as if she didn't care less what he said and losing her balance she fell over, he quickly moved and grabbed her before she hitted the ground - “Por qué siempre termino con la mas borracha de la fiesta?” - he said with an small grin, as he grabbed her and tried to hold her steady - “Miss, are you alright?” Last edited by lolosky; 01-06-2005 at 10:27 AM. |

“Miss, are you alright?”
Romi knew that the figure in front of her said more than that, but with her current state, she could only comprehend as much. "I am okay..." she said, pushing his arms away from her as she stumbled back a few steps before regaining some balance. She looked directly at him, brushing away the hair over her face, revealing her piercing crimson eyes that matched her pale skin and blood red lips. "What are you doing out so late? It's dangerous out here you know? You could've been killed." she said without pausing before she finally passed out on the pavement. |

“..... And she was the one warning me about the dangers of the street” - Jorge said as he lightened a cigarette, he looked down to the drunk girl sleeping on his bed, she was covered in his jacket. Forty five minutes ago he had seen her collapse over her drunkenness in the street near the docks, and somehow after five minutes of thinking what to do he had not managed to get a good conclusion of what he should do about her, so he did the least logical thing and putting his jacket over her he carried her over to his apartment for her own safety, if in something she was right, was in her last statement “It's dangerous out here”. Sure it was and it was even worse for him to leave her alone in the middle of the streets; normally he couldn't have cared less about some stranger falling down over too many drinks anywhere, but somehow he couldn't imagine himself leaving her alone.
As she laid mumbling things over and over as she rolled in his bed, he had opened the first button of his shirt and has loosened the silk tie a bit, he had his gun sheathed in his leather back draw holster below his right arm - “Por qué siempre tengo que ser el smaritano?...... Qué me costaba dejarla donde estaba?” - he looked at her as he putted the cigarette in his mouth again for another blow, he started to level up his sleeves - “Well missy” - he said with the cigarette still in his mouth - “I guess you've had quite the party tonight so i wont offer you anything tonight” - He removed the cigarette from his mouth with the left hand as he grabbed a beer from a small fridge next to his bed, he sat on a chair that was at the bed's feet and glaring at some old picture of family that was hanged in the wall, he opened his beer, raising it with his right he whispered - “Cheers” - and drank a mouthfull of his drink. Suddenly the girl's mumbling started to sound more like words, more comprehensive, she was clearing speaking about something, but all he could understand was “Leave them...... They're of no concern...... I said stop it”. This caught his attention, what could she possibly be talking about? He had no way of knowing, he decided to stretch his legs a bit as he got up his chair and started to walk through his apartment. |

The smell of the cigarette seemed to have acted like an ammonia to her. Romi opened her eyes and found herself lying in bed- obviously not hers. She quickly sat up and found a man walking around what ROmi assumed to be his apartment.
"Whoa..I passed out again didnt I?" she asked herself, her right hand holding her aching forehead. "Si. You drank like there was no tomorrow." he said without looking back at her as he was looking through his apartment window. I wish.. she thought. She noticed that the man had guns. Prolly some cop she assumed. "Thanks for taking me in, but I really did not need your help." Romi continued, finally getting up. She handed him over his jacket. "Do you have another beer?" she asked without hesitation. The man turned to her and gave her an inquisitive look. He was about to open his mouth to speak when Romi noticed a huge bat-like figure coming towards the window. Romi rushed towards the man and tackled him to the floor as the creature crashed through the glass inside the man's apartment. Sending shards of glass all over the place. "I guess it's not safe even inside anymore." Romi said seemingly unshaken by what just happened. |

“She wants more alcohol, does she think she has no liver or what” - Jorge turned around to the woman, he was about to speak when she suddenly rushed at him and tackled him down, he rolled over his back, getting on one knee as he saw an enormous monstrosity coming right through the window he was in front of; his formerly combed black hair was now a mess due to both the hit on the floor and the shards pieces that landed over him, he glanced at the woman with awe - “Me salvo la vida....... But not only that, she managed to react with such speed, to have glanced that and being able to tackle me and get herself safe, in less than two seconds....:” - he was shut out of his thoughts as he perceived by a peek of his eye as the creature moved towards him wielding what seemed a long blade, it made a single trust to Jorge, who reacted quickly enough to roll out of the way without being hurt.
“OK, I don't care who you're great ball of mierda, but you're not going out of this easily” - he pulled out his gun in what seemed an uncommon move, as he drew it with the right hand, the opposed to what the gun was put up to, he turned his head to the right side and said looking at the woman - “Miss, i don't know if you matter, pero esto se va a poner feo, so I'll leave if I were you” - She looked at him with an uncaring face, but she just folded her arms and pointed to the front, he turned his gaze and the beast moving at him at great speed, he tried to make an acrobatic flip over the creature, although he managed to get the creature to pass below him, he hit his feet with the ceiling and fell to the floor. The woman just laughed at this and as she emitted sound the creature noticed her, and made to slashes to her direction which she avoided without less of a problem. Jorge got up and aimed the creature with his gun, again a shot louder than normal could be heard and three bullets ran straight to the creatures head, but perceiving the shot the creature managed to duck just in time for the bullets to pass by. Jorge was astonished, that creature moved almost as fast as his bullets did, he had been a hunter for almost 15 years now, and he had never seen anything move like that. The creature growled and moved towards him attacking Jorge with his blade, with really fast movements, Jorge barely managed to doge these using a mix of acrobatics and circular movements; this creature was attacking berserker and Jorge knew that dodging would eventually lead him to a no end situation, as he felt the wall right behind him he took a resolution; as the creature raised its blade and prepared to a full slash, Jorge stood still, to which the creature reacted indifferent. In the exact moment the blade was about to make contact with his head, Jorge ducked a little and spun his body to the right, the blade struck itself with the wall truncating the consecutive attacks for a moment; Jorge reacted quickly, he delivered a series of blows to using his elbows, knees, legs and punches “What are those” - the woman thought - “Those are not martial moves. He has no style nor definition of his hits, it's just as if he was accustomed to these kind of fights.... Anyhow he wont defeat that creature with using his bare fists” She was right, the creature was blown back by Jorge's attacks, yet he only numbed for an instant, he quickly grabbed Jorge by his shirt with both hands, and raised him over its head, and in a fiery show of power he threw Jorge through the room, to what might be a direct hit to the wall, but in a stunning acrobatic move, Jorge changed the position of his body, so hist feet would hit the wall instead of his head, for a second he crunched in the wall, and rolled over his edge in the air, landing over his bed on one knee - “OK, i realize now that you are fast” - he looked to his rugged shirt - “And you're quite strong..... But this ends now” - Jorge raised his gun and aimed straight to the creature with stood like in wait for the shot, but suddenly Jorge lowered his aim and started to make all kinds of random shots, the creature reacted in disappointment and with almost what could be interpreted as a grin in its devious face it started to walk towards Jorge, but he just chuckled and in a quick move jumped flat on his bed laying still. The woman seemed to interpret the signal from Jorge and ducked herself, as all the bullets Jorge had shot ricocheted through the apartment. The creature barely glanced at the shots before being hit twice on its back, it growled in pain as dark blood started to emanate from him, then three more shots on its chest, then two more on its face, one on each knee, and two on each shoulder. After brief moments, the creature was dead laying on the floor. Jorge got up from his bed still pointing the creature, he kicked it a few times until he confirmed it was dead, then he made two direct shots to the creatures back of the head, just to be sure. He guarded his gun on the holster and turning to where the woman was he said - “I guess it is over”- she nodded with a certain amount of indifference to what just happened , Jorge turned to the creature and said- “I've never seen something like that, and I've seen some crazy stuff during my life time” - He looked back at her and made a small grin - “Oh, claro; diculpa mis modales me llamo Jorge, Jorge Gonzalez..... I mean, my name is Jorge, Jorge Gonzalez...... And you could have helped me a little at least, you know?” |

As Cael exited the small, nameless park a loud noise made his ears twitch.
He looked up and saw a man chasing three women across the rooftops. Nothing unusual, he decided, remembering his encounter with the shadow creature. Then he examined the women closer and realized maybe it was unusual. While squinting, his vision suddenly changed dramatically. He looked around frantically, seeing everything in shades of black, blue and purple, then he looked back up at the three women and saw them as a strange, dark green. The man that followed flared bright red, along with the gun he was holding. Gun? "How could I see a gun from so far away. . . What the hell is going on here?" he mumbled to himself. Cael decided to follow the small group to see if he could determine anything. Running after them, he stayed in the shadows of the streets, not wanting to run into anything else. The streets were deserted and empty for the night. Apparently it was too cold for midnight walks and nobody else, besides drug dealers, had any business on the streets at this hour. He made sure he stayed aware of his surroundings, one strange creature was all he could handle for one night. After a short period of running and another gunshot, the chase ended near the harbor. Cael's vision still didn't change back to normal, but he was starting to get used to it, and even slightly like it. Before anything could notice his presence, he slipped into the shadows and watched the encounter, silently. He noticed that one of the women was dead, the other two cornered. Most of their conversations didn't matter to Cael, and didn't answer anything. He discovered that the man chasing the three women was named Jorge Gonzalez and that he was searching for some sort of hiding house. Then one of the remaining females changed into some sort of hideous monster with large fangs and white eyes. She charged at Jorge but was easily shot down. The remaining woman seemed to tell of some incident in the past that bothered Jorge greatly. He tried to shoot this one down as well, but she proved to be a bigger challenge than the other two. After a brief moment of fighting, Jorge managed to gun the remaining creature down. Cael sank deeper into the shadows as Jorge passed by, waiting to leave when he had gone. His ears twitched at the shuffling of footsteps, and the sound of vomiting. He watched the girl emerge from the alley, and watched this encounter as well. He cared nothing about the conversation, until, the girl said something about dangers. His eyes narrowed in concentration as Jorge carried the unconcious girl away. Determined to get some answers, he followed them. As Jorge carried the girl, Cael followed behind, blending with the shadows. He followed them into an apartment building. The building had better lighting than the streets so there were few shadows, and none dark enough to hide Cael. For the first time since his vision had changed, he looked at a brightly lit hallway and was nearly blinded. The lamps that lit the room flared brightly in Caels eyes. However, due to the lack of shadows and to his dismay, he had to put more distance between him and his prey. As Jorge entered the elevator, Cael hid around a nearby corner, listening for the elevator doors to close. When they did, he watched the numbers above the elevator light up until they stopped at his floor. He quickly made his way to the staircase and to his destination quickly and silently. Finally reaching the correct floor, he gazed through a small window in the large, soundproof door. He quickly dodged to the side as Jorge passed the window. Good, he had not lost them. Jorge stopped at the end of the hall and started to unlock an apartment door. Cael watched and waited for the door to close. It did, and Cael made his way to the apartment door and listened through the door. Everything he could hear was small talk, nothing interesting. However, as he was about to leave, he heard a loud crash and gun shots. He backed up a little bit and stared at the apartment door and wall. He could see two human shaped red figures, but he also saw a dark green figure that resembled the shadow creature he fought in the park. He saw the shadow creature and one of the red figures merge into a blur, then the red figure flew towards a wall. A strong, warm wind brazed the back of Cael's neck. At first, he didn't think much of it, but when he felt it again, he realized where he was. Indoors. Where there was no wind. And it was winter, the wind wouldn't be warm. Too distracted by the battle inside the apartment, he didn't hear the large figure move behind him. Cael's hands quickly moved to his swords, clutching them in each hand, he turned around. He was barely able to block the large sword coming down at him, intent on cutting him in half and, by the strength of the slash, it would have, easily. Once again he couldn't rely on sight, the lights in the hallway were too warm and blocked out a lot of his vision. The creatures sword appeared as a dark blue so he could easily see it when the creatures head blocked out the light, giving him a slight advantage. Focusing too much on the sword and blocked another downward slash, he didn't see the other hand form a fist and raise a litte. By the time he did notice it, it was too late. The creature punched Cael in the stomach, knocking the wind out of him and throwing him backwards, into the door. The door bent and splintered, but did not break. Cael dodged a powerful thrust aimed at his stomach by diving off to the side. The sword missed its target and lodged into the door. The beast was furious. A distraction. All Cael needed. He quickly stood up and moved behind the beast. Just as the creature freed its sword, Cael was on its back, his swords crossed around its neck. The beast reached back to grab Cael, but was too slow as Cael closed the blades, decapitating this beast as well. The dead body fell to the floor, but this time Cael jumped off. His back against the wall opposite the apartment door, he slid to the floor, exaughsted and breathing hard. Even though the battle was over, Cael didn't dare sheathe his blades. His hands still clutched them tightly as they rested on the floor. |

“Oh, claro; diculpa mis modales me llamo Jorge, Jorge Gonzalez..... I mean, my name is Jorge, Jorge Gonzalez...... And you could have helped me a little at least, you know?" the man said introducing himself his grin probably enough to melt any woman's heart but not hers.
"It was just instinct Jorge. It wasn't my intention to help you really. Call me Romi." she said as she shook his hands. It was apparent to Romi that Jorge was not a cop, his fighting skills showed that he was something more than that. As much as she would like to ask Jorge about his background, she just kept quiet to avoid him throwing back the question at her. A loud thug was heard on the door as if something, or someone hit it. Jorge and Romi exchanged glances as Jorge proceeded to turn the knob of the door. They found a man resting on the floor, the bloodstains on his clothes and weapon made it obvious that he just got out from a battle. Jorge and Romi helped the man up and let him sit on Jorge's bed to rest for a little bit. "Nice blades you got there." said Romi to the strange man as she went straight to Jorge's fridge and took out a can of beer and opened it as if she was living in her own house. |

Cael sat in the hallway, staring at the floor. His vision had not returned to normal and the dim lights of the hallway seemed like flood lights to him.
The apartment door opened, making Cael look up. He saw the man and the girl approached the exaughsted Cael. Kindly, without saying a word, they escorted him to Jorge's bed. No words needed to be said, the blood that stained Caels clothing, skin and blades was black. "Nice blades you got there," the female said. Noticing they were still clutched tightly in his hands, he felt ashamed. Cael quickly sheathed the swords and looked up at the red outline he saw as the girl, "Thank you. Do you know what's happening?" Used to being a loner, the words Cael said were emotionless and quiet. Jorge shook his head,"That is what I want to know as well." Both men turned their gazes to Romi, who was just finishing her can of beer. Romi also shook her head, "I don't know much either. All I know is it's going to get worse." Cael sighed heavily, forced to stare at the floor. The lights were too bright and were starting to give him a headache. "My vision," he started, Romi and Jorge looked at Cael,"it's different. I see heat. What's wrong with me?" Jorge shrugged and turned to examine the damage done to his window and apartment. Romi crossed her arms and slightly leaned back as she stood, staring at the floor, "What color are the demons?" Resisting the temptation to look up, Cael answered, "Green, dark green. So they are demons then." "I believe so. They're definatly not ghosts or the average murderers. I'm afraid your vision may never return to normal, "Romi said, looking around the apartment. "That figures," Cael mumbled. Jorge pivoted to face the other two,"I believe we forgot the introductions. I am Jorge, Jorge Gonzalez." Finding what she was looking for, Romi looked up from the small dresser and approached Cael, holding something in her hand, "I'm Romi, and here," she handed Cael a pair of very dark tinted sunglasses,"these might help against the brighter lights." Cael took the sunglasses and put them on then looked up, testing their use. They worked better than he had expected, he could look right at a lamp and experiance only mild pain. He looked at Romi,"Thank you, they work well. I am Cael." |
