I've never played a Final Fantasy game until just recently and it's FFX. It's great. I'm at the point of where Seymour Guado reveals his true intentions, or his father does it for him, but I CANNOT understand how to beat this...his stupid friends there use auto-potions and hi-potions for Seymour and it's driving me insane, and Seymour does that Thundaga crap that'll kill a man extremely fast. It angers me...how do I defeat these kids here? Please let me know.

Surprisingly, this is one of the hardest fights in the game. It takes a lot of skill and strategy to overcome this homie.
First of all: Make sure Auron does at least 800 points of damage, with a nice % bonus of strength on his blade. You must make sure every character either has a nice fat HP bonus on their armor or some sort of elemental ward or proof ability. Okay? 1. Start off with Tidus Yuna and Wakka, do their talk to Seymour. 2. STEAL from his two comrades and you should get Hi-potions, this will prevent them from using auto-potion. Begin hacking and slashing at them, or for quick victory, hav Rikku mix two lightning marbles together for the ROLLING THUNDER ability. They should be dead by now!!! |

To hell with clubbing the Guado Guardians, they die as soon as Seymour summons Anima. Just steal their potions, and hammer Seymour while Yuna heals. The Guado Guardians do jack all in the way of damage, so you can ignore them. When Seymour summons Anima, summon Shiva and hammer away at her. If Shiva's health gets to low cast Ice spells on yourself to heal.
If the Guado Guardians pose a serious threat to your party, you really need to level up badly. |

Like MM here said, steal their potions, then just kill them. But before you go into the fight, make sure Yuna knows all the Nul Spells. NullBlaze, NullFrost (I think it is), etc. If your characters are at that level, there should be no problem. And remember the pattern Seymour's attacks follow, I've forgotten it but if you have an item with the scan ability you can get it. Cast nul spells in accordance with those. Oh, and make sure you do all the trigger commands.
But killing Seymour isn't the right thing to do! He's way too hot to kill....... ![]() <3 Seymour! |

Okay. I've killed the to Guado weirdos, beat the hecken out of Anima, but right after that, he used Multi-Thundara and Multi-Fira and something else, and killed me like a little bia...GOD it makes me angry. A friend of mine said to learn Reflect and DoubleCast, but DoubleCast is WAY too far on the Sphere Grid. So, and also my other friend said that Seymour comes back like 2 times, and the third time he's a hard one. So if I'm having this much trouble now...then I'm screwed.

You need to level up. This fight should not be that hard. When you fight, make sure you NEVER escape, and ALWAYS use everyone in a battle even if they are just blocking which in most cases it is. It doesn't take much more time to use everyone, and you get everyone at an equal level, but you really do need to level up.

Personally, I found one each of Auron's and Tidus' overdrives enough. Or you could spam aeons and their overdrives for the easy win. |

Pfft! Seymour is not a challange in his third form! I just summoned Anima and took him out in one overdrive! To easy for my liking. The hardest fight is the one on Gagazet, where he uses the Zombify attack followed by Full Life, and banishes your Aeons as sooon as they are summoned.

It's been a while since I've played FFX... Yes, I do think he's a selfish @$$... But, it is possible to defeat him. Like everyone else says... Use Reflect or Null Spells... I didn't get Doublecast until I was training before confronting Sin. Teach that persistant bastard a lesson, ok?
And, as for the time on Gagazet, he does vanquish the Aeons when their summoned. I got all my Aeon Overdrive Gauges maxed before confronting him. When an Aeon is summoned, they get always get first turn. So, I used their Overdrive. Then, when Seymour banished them, I summoned the next... 'Til I was out of Aeons... A.C. |

To get rid of the Guado on either side I built Rikku up to an overdrive before the fight and then blasted them in one hit by mixing a grenade and either a map or a key sphere. Anyone works.
