Complication of the Junction System

Is it just me or is the junction system really complicated to understand.

Cloud Strife X takes classes from Quistis - (lv 2)
Well, I myself didn't find it so complicated after a while. At first, I had problems with learning how to do it all, but with time, I managed to figure out exactly how it all worked. And if you have access to the manual (which I didn't at first), it really helps with learning how to use the system. It just takes time to get used to it, that's all.

Believe it or not, but I found it fairly simple. The only thing confusing probably is figuring out how to adjust everything, but I just had the pc auto apply my magic to my characters, so I barely ever junctioned on my own. Except maybe to alter status or elemental attacks and defenses. But I found it very easy to work with, FF X's sphere grid is beyond me though, there is just too much to it. But with time and effort I'll figure it out just like I have every other FF system.

I agree fully. Except, I have the PS version, therefore, I don't have an auto junction option. (Maybe I do, but I never use it).
I prefer to set up my own defenses.
And as I have my char.s now, Squall absorbs 25% of every elemental magic It will be more later on tho.

The junction system is actually really simple if you take the time to figure it out.
The sphere grid however. . . I kind of understood it. . . but not completely.

Heh! I didn't find the junction system difficult. It only makes me confuzzled when I think about it. If I see it in front of me, it's very simple. All my characters had 100%death equipped and 9999 hp and absorbs all elemental damage. I completed the game to a full! But I learned how to use the junction quite quickly!

If you have the Playstation version than you do have the option to use Auto Junction, since I have the Playstation version as well. It's under junction as a choice, then you hit Auto and it gives you 3 options to junction by, suiting the character in Defense, Strength, or Magic statistics.

I found it hard at first, but give it some time and you should get used to it. Really all you're doing is equipping magic to stats in the sort of way you'd equip armour to stats in previous FF games.

This forum needs a junction FAQ thread..... yet I'd have no time to make one :/. If anybody is interested, drop me a PM. It'd be a useful thread to keep stickied.

Heh, yeah, now I remember that option. I, personally, don't like to use the auto junction because I try to keep my characters stats pretty much equaled out.
It doesn't work so well when your a low level, but once you get higher, it makes it much more easier to improve your level 100 characters.

I kinda like the Junction system. It was hard at first for me, too, but I understood it after a while. So far I've found Regen to be a nice Magic for HP-J. Drain for the Status Attack Junction... Heh...

I thought the junction system was difficult at first, but got very easy after a while. It reminds me of the sphere grid from FFX, because you have to spend time getting used to it.

The system isn't really that complicated compared to FFX. What I dislike about it is how it kinda takes the fun out of leveling up and learning attacks. Plus I think it just makes the game far too easy.In the past FF games and future ones as well you equip armor and weapons to raise your stats a bit but not to an overpowering level. You could be low leveled yet junctioned with magic to give you max stats. Personally, I only liked the overall story of the game.

While this is a good point, let me refresh you.

The game compensates the easiness of obtaining max stats with many things.
First of all, the game creates enemies that are very similar to you, in which they become stronger over time. With weapons like Omega Weapon, this is obvious. While it is a whimp at level 1, so are you.
Second, You can't go over 9999 HP and damage. Why? Because if it were so, then the game WOULD be much too easy, and it would turn off FF veterans. Let me get back to Omega Weapon. This is a monster, that at level 100 has over a million HP. Not so easy, is it?

So max stats really aren't MAX STATS. It's just basically the game telling you that you put a lot of work into it, and you should be proud of yourself.
