I'm sure this topic has been done to hell, but oh well. List your 5 favorite final fantasy songs, from any FF game. Also list the game, and why you like it.
1. Otherworld- FFX: Come on, its a metal song. Enough said.
2. Liberi Fatali-FF8: This is the opener to FF8 and I just love it. I tried to get my band director to let us play it at a concert, but to no avail. Very sad.
3. Kuja's theme-FF9: This song is so excellent, just because of that drum thing.
4. One winged Angel-FF7: Great overture type song, that you can listen to for hours.
5. Last but not least: THE CHOCOBO THEME!!!!!!- every ff: I just love it. Especially on the world map.

The music in FFX beat all games in history, but... my favorite song is......

A FLEETING DREAM

This has to be one of the greatest songs ever made for a single game. The moment you go to the zanarkand ruins and you hear the song, it's not hard to tell it's the best in the game. I mean, they even play the song when you switch to battles! Oh, and my favorite non-FF song is dot dot dot

A DEUS from Grandia 2

That song is sung by Elena in the very beginning of the game, and also she sings it when they go to Mareg's home. It's a really nice song and it's really relaxing, which is why I listen to most of the music I do.

Okay, this is in no particular order... and I don't know the names of the songs. Oh well.

1. FF7 Boss Theme - It sounds really, really cool, and it's my favorite non-final boss battle theme.
2. Aeris' Theme(FF7) - It's emotional and it makes you feel sad, especially when... well... I don't want to spoil what happens to Aeris for anyone, although it's all over the net anyway.
3. Setzer's Theme(FF6) - I have happy memories of turning the music down (so I can't hear the usual airship theme), flying around in the Blackjack, and humming this over and over. Awesome music.
4. Cyan's Theme(FF6) - Once again, whenever Cyan opens his mouth in the game, I start humming this. It sounds very medieval and very cool.
5. FF5 Final Battle Theme - The hardest boss in the FF series (no contest) also has, in my opinion, the coolest battle music. 'Nuff said.

Final Fantasy IV - Fiends Boss Music - something about this music just drives me mad. It gets me totally psyched up for a kickass battle. It is easily the best music in any FF game I've ever heard.

Final Fantasy VIII - Training Center - might be strange but I find the music in the Training Center of Balamb Garden to be completely surreal. I love it, it gets me all nostalgic.

Final Fantasy VII - Turks Theme - this is the only reason I'd ever replay this damn game. I enjoyed the music overall, except Cosmo Canyon, that drove me nuts. But this music was friggin cool, and had an excellent beat to it.

Final Fantasy Tactics - Title Screen - everytime I play this game I turn it on, and then I just sit and wait as it shows all the weapons and zodiac symbols. Right until the title lights up in flames, than I actually hit a button. I dunno, I guess I just love that whistly sound it has.

Final Fantasy VI - Phantom Forest - once again this music is eerie and kickass. Whenever I get to this forest in the game, I never want to leave it.

Five favorite tracks...Man, that's a toughie...Alright, here it is:

--In no particular order--

FF1-The Flying Fortress. Man, I can hum that tune years later and still love it. There's just something very mythical and powerful about it.
FF7-The One-Winged Angel. I'm sure others will say why they like this song, and say it better, so I'll just say 'Bravo!' and leave it at that.
FF6-The Atma Weapon. I love that track the instant I hear it. It has a blood-pumping feeling that gets my fingers on the buttons.
FF4-Mount Oredeals...(spelling?) This track isn't so much as stop-you-in-your-tracks but more of a feel-good, fight-on bit of music.
FF7--JENOVA. I'm not sure why I like this song--it's a bit odd but I do. I find it a catchy tune, one that gets me involved in the battle.

FF9-melodies of life-Oh,I just love it.I always hum this tune.
FF9-the place i'll return someday-I always hum this tune too.
FF8-liberi fatali-It's so cool!!!
FF8-eyes on me-this song is great.
FF7-one winged angel-great!!

Final Fantasy VIII - Battle Theme, Laguna Battle Theme, Training Center's Theme, Maybe I'm A Lion, That one Timber place xD it's been a while since I've played this game. There's more I just can't think of the names.

Final Fantasy IX - Vivi's Theme, Long Journey Ahead, Overworld Theme ( Very peaceful ), Beatrix and Steiner's Theme, Freya's Theme, Assault Of The White Dragons

FF9: Terra - Generally just cool like a better version of the opening

FF9: You're not alone (Music when Zidane goes a little mad and everyone tries to snap him out of it in Pandemonium)

FF7: Sephiroth's theme - Scary-ish stuff, ominous and cool

FF7: Aeris Theme - Powerful and sad piece

FF9 - Uh, I dont remember what it's called. But it's the musc from when your on the Red Rose airship.
FF9 - Esto Gaza theme! OH THIS IS MY FAVOURITEST EVER

... I'd kiss that song if i could. It's like a casual song but, ahh, I dunno. I just love it.

FF music inspired me a lot. I always try to play the themes on my guitar. I can play nearly all of them on keyboard too... teehee.
