Yeah man, that game is deadly. I always challenge my dad in it. I've never lost a single game.. to ANYONE! If there is some way to play that over the net against someone.
I challenge you!! Anyways, tetris rules. I had it for gameboy... |

I'm going to have to disagree with you, Tetris is awesome. There is a version for it on the NES, it's pretty much the exact same, but..still, it's pretty sweet. And whenever you beat a lvl, little russians come out and dance for you!

Mmmm...good ol' Tetris... addictive, fun, plain good. It is a challenge to play to get 4 blocks, or at speed level 10. It is pretty fun to get to the 10000 cap, too bad I couldn't get to the 20000 point cap to see the little secret. And, Gameboy is the best system for it: point is, the game was designed for portable gaming. Other systems' versions can be as fun, but preferably puzzle gamers will look at other systems more than the regular game neighborhood.

Tetris is unsurpassed in the Arcade version! (MAME emu if you want). I am the tetris god of all times!!! No, I once was. Today I would badly lose a contest I guess. But I was really severly addicted to it. I played it in innumerable versions always looking for _the_ uber Tetris. But the Arcade ver absolutely owns imo.

I thought the game was alright for a time. I got so pissed at it at one point that I broke my old gameboy because of that stupid game. So I guess you could say I'm not overly fond of it. It was just basic overall, same puzzle action with increasing speed, trying to get tetris's was a bitch. I found Doctor Mario to be alot more entertaining and it had better music as well.
But in conclusion I'm not big into puzzle games as it's just too much repetition for me.

Tetris was a game - like Pacman, that I grew up playing. I was always a fan of puzzle games -- it's supposed to make you more logical in real life or something... but I dunno if I believe that, coz look how I turned out
... On the original gameboy, I once got 150 lines... that was hard, considering it got faster every time you got ten lines. Then when you had the sound up, it would make a sheep noise everytime you got game over XD hahaha, still makes me laugh... But yeah, i also had this on one of my older consules, but for the life of me, can't remember which one it was... I remember I was a master at it though. ![]()

Actually, i found my old Game Boy last friday and started to play Tetris again. Tetris is immortal! However, my Game Boy is not. It's breaking down more and more, and soon the screen will go total haywire. But hey, theres still like a million other versions of it >; )=

Tetris is one of the all time greatest games. Period. in a top 10 - it'd have to be there. Every incarnation is good too, i've actually been on a Tetris/Dr. Mario kick recently - have them as a split on a SNES cart - ****ing incredible. You can just play tetris... and play it... and play it.... and play it.... and it NEVER gets old.
i want the new DS version - as soon as i get my paycheck - STRONG BAD, I CHALLENGE YOU. (if you have a DS that is )

Wow... holy necro-post postalblowfish7-man!
Anyhoo... this game was pretty cool. I wouldn't call it my favorite game ever, or probably even my favorite puzzle game ever, but it was cool. I think Tetris Attack (the one with Yoshi) is my favorite puzzle game ever, actually. I was really good at that game (although I probably wasn't a "master" of it, or anything. I could just school everyone pretty bad.) Anyhoo, back to regular Tetris... it is a good game to pass time/kill boredom with. Unfortunately, at a family get together at our house one year, it came up missing... I suspect this one little cousin who took the gameboy out in our backyard and who was playing it out there. I looked all over our backyard, and couldn't find it. Don't think I've seen that kid since, either... Maybe he was taking revenge on us for not letting him play on one of the console systems with us.
