How do I heal the twins? (spoiler)

I heard there was a rare item that lets you unpetrify polom and porom (when they're turned to stone) ahead of time. Is this true, and if so, how do I get it? I know they are unfrozen by that wizard (I can't remember his name). But I don't like the plot absurdity that he waited so long to do it. Clearly that wsas thrown in there in case you didn't heal them yourself. Whats the "real" way to heal them?

You most definitely cannot heal Palom and Porom before the scene before you enter the big monster guy whose name escapes me. The game is designed so that you always have the right amount of characters, and even when all of them are not in some paralyzed mood, they would be to weak to do anything. Im just ranting to beef up the post.

Oh so they do heal eventually? Somthing I've been wondering because I only just saw that scene for the first time yesterday.

Dawezy sips tea with Black Mage - (lv 4)Dawezy sips tea with Black Mage - (lv 4)Dawezy sips tea with Black Mage - (lv 4)
This was briefly covered in the following thread;

http://www.thefinalfantasy.com/forum...ad.php?t=38071

So i'll summarize a touch shall we, Quina pointed a few things out too.

• Cagnazzo, in a last ditch effort, makes the walls of the hallway between the Throne Room and the Knights Quarters, cave in.
• Palom & Porom, figure the only way to prevent everyone from being killed is to use Stone against Stone, so they willingly cast Stone (its technically called Break, but anyway, lol) on each other.
• Since they did it at their own will, no spell can undo it.

However;

Spoiler:
Since the Mysidian Elder is such a powerful wizard, he devised a way to Un-Stone both of the twins and return them to their former selves. Why the walls didnt collapse again is beyond me, lol

After this event, I went back to Mysidia but couldn't find the Elder. Where is he? And the walls probably don't start to collapse again because Cagnazzo is dead. He used the last of his strengh to close the walls while he was alive right?

After the Monster of Babil scene, the Elder can be found just a little ways from where you first found him. In Mysidia go to the Elder house. Continue on pass the hallway you met him in and pass the Crystal room. He's in the next room.*

*If memory serves me correctly.

Yeah, Dragonsoul's right, just head around the Crystal Room's little raised area for the crystal and you'll find a door leading up to the Tower of Prayers ( I think that's what they called it) and the Elder should be up there.

As stated above you CANNOT heal the twins, just as you CANNOT revive Aeris in FF VII. These are rumors and are just plain stupid. Certain events in FF games happen for "storyline" reasons. I mean look at what happened, the whole party was going to be crushed if it wasn't for those kids. That's the way it's supposed to be people.

Sad but true.

The Elder does later unstone them, but they stay with him in Mysidia and you cannot get them in your group again. Nor would you probably want to, they were very nice to use earlier in the game, however Rydia and Rosa are considerably more powerful alternates to them, minus the Twin ability of course. However you also won't really need Twin in contrast to spells like Flare, Meteo, Bahamut, and Holy.

^ Thats true.

Another reason they were taken out was because there was too many black and white mages. You had Cecil, Rosa, Rydia and Tellah for white magic. As well as Rydia and Tellah for their black magic. Rydia loses her white magic for the same reason.

They are useful at the time, such as Tellah getting level 3 spells and Cure 4 so early in the game. But as you progress you'll discover they are not needed.

The answer's simple: You can't. Palom and Porom will have to remain that way until later in the game. You'll see what I mean for yourself.

Actually you can have them back in your party. When you go back to the moon after you defeat the Gaint of Babel, a hummingway says that if you go to the Hall of Prayers you can change your party members for the ones you lost earlier in the game. All except for Sage Tellah.
