Will you buy it?

Upon FFXII's release, who here actually intends on purchasing this game?
Why (or why won't) you buy it?

Simple questions requiring simple answers.

I plan on buying it. Yeah yeah, I know I'm the Old Skool Warrior, but I'm also an avid videogame collector. I now have every FF with the exception of FFVIII and Legends. I like to see what each of the games has to offer, and there has never been an FF that I feel I have truly "wasted" my money on. Each of the games has its own positives, even if very few people can see them. I believe FFXII will also have its strong points; in fact, I feel it will have more strong points than any of the new generation's Final Fantasies.

The short version? I'm buying it because I buy all the FF games.

Hell yeah, as with every other game, theres the element of mystery and the thought of what lies ahead for the series, I too have almost all the FF series (minus 3 and 6) and need to expand my collection!

I'll buy it, just because I like to experience every game in the series. The only exception was FFXI. I didn't want to buy the game at first, and didn't for well over a year. But then I got to talking with my cousin about getting into an MMORPG with him, and we decided on FFXI, rather than EQ or EQ2.

As for wasting money on FF games... Yeah, I've wasted money on them. FFVIII was a waste of 50 dollars, as was FFIX, but I didn't buy that one

The other games in the long line more than made up for those two though.

Yeah, its quite obvious that (nearly...) everyone at these forums will purchase the game, I mean seriously, anybody who loves FF enough to join a forum about it is not going to randomly not get the newest installment to the series.

Oh yeah, NN, "Nuff said" sound like something some used to say a loooong time ago here.... I may be mixing forums, but it sounds vaguely familiar. O_o I had to say that. ^^

"Nuff said" is a term that many use, and have used on these forums. IT's not unique to anyone, just like "wazzup?".

I don't know about your reasoning, Gil. Some people joined these forums only for help with one or more of the games, rather than their fandom, lol.

Yeah, I'm gonna buy this one.

Just because... the immense SIZE of the thing. What is it, four discs? That's a lot of hours to spend in front of a TV.

I also am a FF fanatic, so I consider it my sort of "unsword duty" to get them all, even if I need to go bust some dollars on the old ones.

In short, yeah.

Yeah, I suppose its pretty common to hear people say Nuff Said. ^^

But yeah.... 4 discs. O_O Are you sure about that one, I'm quite sure its at most 2 discs. ^^I mean Star Ocean 3 was huge, and that was 2 discs. Whoever told you it was 4 discs probably wasn't serious. If there really are 4 discs I'm truely in shock.

IT's 2 dual layer discs, which is the equivalent of 4 normal DVD discs. Maybe that's what he got the number from?

Let's hope it's more substance than style in that extra disc. LEt's face it. Even though FF IX was four discs, it was all FMV. That game was about half the size of FFVII and VIII.

Yeah, I'll buy it. I'm trying to keep an open mind. I thought I'd hate FFX-2 and I ended up really enjoying it. But I probably won't buy it as soon as it comes out, I'll wait for it to be a bit cheaper ^^;;

And consider how much stuff X had to do. I'm not the biggest fan, but aside from the lacking story and stupid voiceovers, the game was actually pretty good, and offered a LOT of things. It was one disc. Two discs with even newer technology? It's gonna be freaking insane.

Oh, and I suppose I won't buy FFVIII to complete the collection. Because... yeah. I trust your judgement on that one, and I didn't like the bit of it that I'd played anyway. (But that's all off the topic.)

And about IX, yeah, it was FMV, but these are DVDs man. DV-freakin-Ds!

That's a lot of stuff. It'll probably be a lot of FMVs, but I got no complaints as long as they aren't like... 20 minutes long. Unless it's the end. Then it's fine. As long as I get time to make popcorn.

I just hope the vid card in my PS2 doesn't sizzle.
