ROAD TRIP!! (Invite only)

((OOC: Okay, so Daniel (Anarchy) and I were talking about how bored we were. And then we thought... what did we do the last time we got bored? And then it hit us... start the road trip RP again. Now, since Daniel has courageously started it 3 times already (EDIT: Because his posts rocked so hard... mm hm... actually, I didn't remember, and that's what he told me. So there), he made me do the dirty work this time. Here goes nothing... I mean that. I'm sleepy. (EDIT: Haha, Daniel, you uber-n00b. Practice what you preach and get that sig out)))

Leah woke up around eleven, her usual wake-up time during the summer. She rolled out of bed, legs first, and avoided the mirror across her room. She knew exactly what she looked like in her tye-dye shirt and plait boxers after waking up from a restless sleep, and she certainly did not need a full-body mirror shoving it in her face. Her room looked like crap. She tripped over one of her sneakers and stubbed her toe on her one of her old broken toys that her mother refused to throw away. She was, of course, home for the summer. Her room was in the attic, and with an attic comes junk. The damn door always creaked when she opened it. Because of that, it was impossible to sneak out or in late at night. Not that she had the guts to anyway, but she still wanted the option. She had tried everything on that door, but nothing worked. She even asked her friend Rufus pee on it. Lighten up, she was desperate. So her door creaked a cheerful "good morning" as she stepped out of her dark loft and into the bright hallway of the world that her mother controlled. It was all balanced. Sort of. Leah had control of her room, her mother controlled the house, and her father controlled the front and back yards. If any party were to infringe upon another party's territory, it was a violation of the strict unwritten law, and bitching would ensue. Leah found the bathroom with one eye half open (if she ever lost the photographic image of her house implanted in her memory, the smell of potpourri would lead her straight to it), and ran cold water over her face. Then she went to pee. She always had to pee after she woke up, without fail. While she sat, her eyes began to adjust to the light, and she looked at the wall ahead of her. What the... On the wall in front of the toilet was a group picture of her class from her Catholic highschool wearing their uniforms. She wasn't even Catholic, and neither were her parents; however, she was certainly sheltered. Memories from the small middle school slowly played like an old movie reel in front of her eyes.
"So you're not Catholic?"
"No."
"What are you?"
"I'm a Protestant."
"Do you believe in God?"
"Yes, dipshit, and you know what else I believe in? Condoms. Now scram."
She finished up, washed her hands, and then found her mother. "Mom, what is that picture doing in the bathroom?"
"Oh, I've been putting up all your pictures around the house," she said sweetly. Too sweetly.
"Why?" Leah could still taste the sour morning on her tongue and longed to brush it away, but this had to be taken care of. Having a picture of Catholic schoolgirls in the bathroom simply wouldn't do.
"Well, you've been away at college, and I was worried about you." Her mother wouldn't look at her. She was dusting a plant.
"So you put pictures up?"
"I just thought having those pictures around the house would remind you of more innocent times." Her smile was really just a wide pucker. Leah could sense the sting in her mother's seemingly harmless words.
"What are you implying?"
"Leah, darling, I know college is a time for exploration and such, but... well, I thought perhaps having these pictures around would help you remember that you are a young lady with good upbringing." Hmm... maybe there wasn't some huge scheme.
"Uh huh..." Leah nodded and rolled her eyes as she turned to go brush her teeth.
"Sweety," her mother called after her. It sounded less sweet than before. Leah turned around to look at her mother. "Sweetheart, your father and I have been thinking. Well, college is a big step, and... well, we're not sure if you're ready to live to far away from home. We've decided that maybe it would be a good idea if you came back to live at home and go to school in state."
Leah searched her mother's face for any hint that she was joking. She couldn't find one. Not one. "Mom... are you serious?"
"Yes, dear, and I know it sounds kind of sudden, but we've sent your appication to a nice Episcopal college, and I think they'd be willing to transfer you and-"
"Mom! No! What is this? I've already been in school a year, why do you want to move me now?"
"We're just trying to protect you." Her mother approached her with her arms ready to hold her daughter. Leah did not want to be held. She had been held her whole life, and now that she was finally free, her parents were trying to take control again.
"Mother. I'm 19 years old. At some point you're going to have to let go."
"Honey, try to understand-"
"No! No, I can't believe you!" Leah had tears in her eyes. "I'm not going. You can stop paying my tuition, that's fine. I have scholorship money, and I'll get a job. But I don't need you anymore." She wiped her nose with the back of her hand. Her mother wouldn't speak. She stood, bitter and silent, and stared at her plant. Her perfect, shining, spotless plant. Leah had tried to be that plant once. Perfect and shining in her mother's eyes. She had finally come to realize that she was no plant, and she was tired of her mother trying to brush away her dust for her. Finally her mother spoke.
"So this is how you thank me. This is how you thank me for years of taking care of you, of feeding you, of paying for you?! THIS is how you thank me? Leah, I am just trying do what is best for you," her mother's articulation always became more pronounced when she was angry, "Now I want you to go back into your room and stay there. You are not going on this road trip or whatever it is, and you are going to this new college so you will learn some respect for your elders."
Leah didn't say a word. She was too angry to open her mouth. Her lips were pressed so tightly together, she was sure they were white. She turned suddenly and marched down the hall. She reached into the bathroom and grabbed all her things, then she ran up the stairs and threw it all into her bag of clothes that she had ready to go. She zipped it up, and threw it over her shoulder. She dug out her cell phone and called Rufus. One ring. Second. Finally. "Rufus, pick me up."
"Leah, what the..."
"Please hurry." She hung up. Five minutes went by. Ten minutes. Twenty. Finally, she heard a honk from outside, quite possibly the most beautiful thing she had heard in her life. She grabbed all the cash she had, and hurried down the stairs. She passed her mother in the kitchen.
"Leah, where are you going?"
Leah didn't answer. She went to the front door.
"Leah!" Damn. She opened the door and stepped outside.
"Leah Elizabeth Andrews, you get back in this house this very instant!"
Leah turned and looked at her mother, standing in the doorway of the kitchen. At that moment, Leah knew she had won. Her words were calm, but loaded with venom, "Mother. **** you." She closed the door behind her and jumped off the porch. She ran across the yard and leaped into Rufus's car.
"Ew, when did you last brush or shower?" he said when she threw her arms around him in a grateful hug.
"I can do it at your house while we wait for everyone else. Just drive."

((OOC: DANIEL started the previous Road Trip RPs? It was me actually, lol. Well... the first 2 anyhow. Then some random person started a 3rd one which only made a few posts, but I wasn't in with that one at all. This is more or less officially the third I'd say. Anywho, onwards with my post))

It was soon after the pair had left Leah's house, when they arrived at Rufus' place. Rufus pulled the car to a halt, and stood at his doorstop was another person facing the threshold with a bag clutched in one hand, which appeared as though it had been stuffed like a chicken, and the other hand supported a huge inflatable dolphin wearing a straw hat over it's corresponsing shoulder. The character was wearing baggy brown trousers and a plain white t-shirt beneath a large black short-sleeved shirt, with grey stripes across the chest. The figure rated his head to catch the two in the car in the corner of his eye, and grinned.

"Yo, Jyo!" Leah cried from her seat. Jyo turned the rest of his body to face the others, and took strides in their direction. Before he even reached the car, he had thrust his baggage through the air and prefectly through the car's open backseat window... which was amazing due to the bulk of the luggage. Once he had infact reached the vehicle, he lashed the inflatable dolphin onto the roof of the car.
"Just incase we hit a beach." He smiled. Once the words had left his lips, he made his way inside to sit with the others, shifting up to take the seat farthest from the one he had climbed through the door onto.

"What do you call that Dolphin anyway?" Rufus asked, confused.
"Chicken Von Vampire" Jyo replied, getting an immediate look of bewilderment from the other two.
"That's not even a name.... just a completely random throw-together of words..." Leah responded.
"Eh... Parents can name their children wat they want... hence anything can be a name" Jyo said back, stretching his legs.
"You're not his parents, Jyo...."
"Silence."

Jyo pulled a beer can from his inside pocket, took a swig and slouched in his seat. He was ready to Road Trip.

Rufus was dumbstruck, wondering how he was going to break it to Jyo that they couldnt bring that lame-ass dolphin with them. He looked so content sqeezing the hell out of it, smiling at it.... it was like a child for him. 'Ah, ill just strap it to the roof' he thought.

"Well, we're not all accounted for, lets go inside, get some drinks."

Rufus, Leah, and a dolphin clutching Jyo walked up the three flights of stairs and down the long hallway to Rufus' humble abode, his apartment. Leah thought it was the coolest that Rufus lived on his own, but then again she didnt have to climb three flights of stairs. daily.

Rufus shoved the hair out of his eyes as he fumbled for the right key. He was horrible at unlocking doors for some reason. After a long night, he'd spend hours trying to get into the house, usually ending up asleep just outside the door.

The trio walked into Rufus' semi-furnished pad, complete with.... a broken tv and enough couches to rest an army on. They surrounded the broken tv (which only got a few channels with a fuzzy picture) and Rufus' pride and joy, his NES. Jyo sat down while Leah explored and Rufus made a few drinks.

Leah had only been to Rufus' apartment once, so she liked looking at all the pictures. She noticed one picture of Rufus and some woman, and next to it was a letter from some Ivy League college and an address.

"Whats this?" she said, holding up the picture and the letter. "whos the pretty lady?" she added.
Rufus looked up and saw the picture. He paused. Jyo turned from the tv screen to look at Leah. He shook his head, then turned to look at Rufus. Rufus went back to making his drinks.

"Hmm?" she said, walking towards the counter where Rufus was.
"Can't you see he doesnt want to talk about it?" Jyo said.
"No, it's ok. That," he said "was the biggest mistake ive made in my 20 years."
Leah made a look of confusion, a clever ploy to get Rufus to keep going.
"You see, back in Florida where i'm from, I met her when I was about.....14. We were great friends. Well, one day, We decided we wanted something more from each other."
"You mean..."
"Not like that, but yes, be dated. It was beautiful. We did everything together. She got her liscense when I was almost 16, so we went driving around, just to get out of the house..... Or we'd just sit around inside, listening to music."
"What was she like?" Leah said, cocking her head.
"She was quick. Very witty, and smarter than anyone else I knew. It was such a new experience everytime I talked with her. Life with her was perfect."
"Well, where is she?"
"Yale. You see, She was smart, but I was no dolt myself. We were both offered scholarships because of our exceptional SAT scores. But I wasnt notified of my scholarship opportunity, and I went to the first school that took me."
"Where you go now."
"Exactly. But by the time that I really did find out, the scholarship was given to someone else. So I planned to go there next year, i'd still be able to get a scholarship I figured."
"They wouldn't let you in?"

Rufus fell silent. Jyo turned the tv off.

"Something else happened, didnt it?" Leah inquired.
"I never was a fan of long distance relationships. I got a letter saying that she had found someone, and wanted to break it off."
Leah looked at Jyo, who sat resting against the couch, looking at the ground.
"What did you do?" Leah asked. Rufus pulled back his left long shirt sleeve and turned his wrist over. It was riddled with scars. Leah gasped.
"Another big mistake I made. You see, if you really want to commit suicide, youll slice vertically with one of the veins." Rufus said, tracing a long vein with his finger. "I only knicked a few veins. I did it in the hallway out there in the middle of the night, and Jyo here found me."
"That's so sad."
"......."
"Well, why do you keep this picture of her then?" Leah took the picture out of the frame and attempted to throw it away. Rufus snatched it from her along with the frame, putting them back on the table.
"Because whether it's over or not, what we had is special. I want to hold on to something, even if it is just a memory."

Yells from outside.

"Looks liked someone's here. Lets go get 'em.''

As Rufus left the two, Jyo pulled Leah back and whispered in her ear.
"Try not to bring her up too often, ok? I need a favor from you. Find a way to get me in the driver's seat when we get close to Cali, ok? Im going to end this whole ex problem.

"You two coming?!'' He said standing outside the door. Leah and Jyo hurried out, Leah noticing a box near the door, a few letters sticking out the top. 'None of my business' she thought to herself.

While she explored the house, she found the bathroom and freshened up (face, teeth). She ran a comb through her hair and put it up in a loose bun with red strands escaping and framing her oval face. Her few bangs were getting longer as well, and fell into her emerald eyes. She dug around in the purse with the strap across her chest and found her eyeliner. She quickly darkened the edges of her eyelids and realized that this was about as good as it was gonna get today. Still... she hoped she would get a shower before too long.

She found Rufus making drinks and Jyo playing NES. She noticed a photograph of a lovely woman standing beside Rufus. She had never seen her before. Her curiosity overcame her and she asked about the woman. The response was less than desirable, and she came out of it rather shocked. No one in her perfect porcelain world ever cut themselves. Just seeing his scars gave her a dull pain in her abdomen. Then again, no one in that plastic dream ever loved either. What did love feel like? She had heard of it as a sort of rush, and that it could not be compared to anything, and therefore, could hardly be described. And what of lust? That passionate yearning somewhere beneath the clothes that pressed people against each other. Something to set her free and calm her down all at once. She had lived her life untouched. Ignorant and inexperienced. She wanted it all. She ached to be wanted, and longed to be so selfish.

Leah watched him leave. She was about to follow him when Jyo pulled her aside, and asked her a favor. It was an odd favor, but one she thought she could probably manage.

"You two coming?!" Rufus called.

Leah and Jyo hurried out behind him. Leah noticed a box of letters on her way out. Nevermind, she thought, I've asked too many questions today. None of my business.

She stepped outside, and was greeted by the bright sunlight and a familiar childhood face that she hadn't seen in ages.

"Where am I?", Rex moaned a lil bit, stroking his head. His hangover was incredible, once again he had drank a bit oo much. He explored his environment a bit like a wild animal. It looked girlish, was he abducted by some alien species? His head rolled painfully towards the side and some fat woman lying there. Immediately he was sober again; his eyes almost popping out of his skull, searching for oxygen. So he WAS abducted. Damn, that thing lying next to him wasn't human. That was something he was certain of, at least he hadn't seen any huge specimens yet of the species called human. It almost resembled specimens he ahd seen of the species called whales.
He searched for his clothes, luckily the predator was still fast asleep. The snoring outnoised all the other sounds in the room. He found his clothes scattered across the room and noticed a poster of a couple of whales jumping out of the water. "Must be a group photo of the family", he mumbled, grinning a bit.

When he got more aware of the situation Rex noticed that he had a sore ass. What the hell had happened that night before? He didn't even wanna know, but unluckily he noticed a strapon lying on the desk next to this alien entity. A shiver went though his spine. Better keep this to myself, he thought. And the prey slowly snuck out of the predator's sight.

After like ten minutes he got home again, still feeling a bit shittey. He drank a couple of energy drinks and took a shower, pimped up his hair and got some new clothes and stashed some stuff in a bag. He was supposed to go on a road trip today with a couple of his friends. Hopefully they didn't know what he had done last night.

"Where were you last night?", Rex's dad moaned to him. "Not here", he said playfully. "You better not screwing some fat women", he said laughing. Ouch, Rex thought and started laughing as well. "You know that ain't my style". Father and son started laughing, allthough it was painful for Rex.

He quickly grabbed his stuff and set off, putting on his sunglasses and some aftershave. He could already see Rufus' house; ti was just around the corner of his own place. There was still a little bit of vomit in the garden, from when? unknown. He scratched his head at it and just smashed the doorbell; it fell off afterwards it rang. Pissed off he kicked in a random direction and accidentally kicked off the mailbox. He looked around hopelessly...

Vinnie slowly opened his eyes, his night before had been a long one..He scratched his head, brushing his curly black hair out of his face, as his eyes slowly focused on what light there was in the room. Stale beer and well he didnt quite know what the other smell was lingered threw the room, why he let parties happen in his small house, he didnt know. . he stood up, with all the blood rushing out fo his head,
"Whoa" he ahd always hated that feelin, losing all equilibrium..he grabbed his head, tryin to regain his balance.
Vinnie looked down, surprised that he was fully clothed, and even more surprised that he was sleepin on his couch. Beer bottles and empty bottles of assorted hard licquors seemed to be abundent in his 1 floor home..
Vinnie entered his small kitchen to see something circled on his play boy calender...
"ROAD TRIP"
"F*ck'in Shit!..i totally forgot"
Vinnie rushed around to his room, to see his ex and sum guy in his bed...he jumped up on the bed, and zipped down his pants..he didnt care if she had sex with other guys..just not in his f*ckin bed,
"Ahhhhhh, relief" vinnie zipped up his pants,vinnie continued threw his room grabbing cloting and shoving them into his dakine back pack..he didnt care if he just urinated on his ex-gf's new boy toy, hell everything on his bed had been hers, hell the matress was even hers, and she had been bitching at him to give her all the sheets back.
Vinnie pulled out his digital camera from his bag, and took a quick picture of the mysterious man sleepin in his bed, with a large trail of urine on his face..
Vinnie let out an obnoxious chuckle..and continued to pack..
Vinnie spuratically brushed his teeth, adn slipped on another shirt, a green DC t-shirt..slipped on a etnies knited beanie
he stopepd at the door to slip on his shoes,a dn take another look at his dump of an apartment..
Vinnie placed his large DJ headhpones over his ears and headed out the door....he didnt live to terribly far from rufus only about a block away..
Ahh rufus, he used to surf with him all the time until the hit college, the two of them rarely even spoke to eachother unless at parties, funny to think how two long time friends, who live a block away from eachother rarely ever talk.

sure enough there was Rex's place..he swore that rex had been there last night..but he couldnt remember..

Vinnie switched the song on his MP3 player, to sum at the drive-in..
the lyrics and guitar rang threw his ears, puttin a smirk on his face..

There was Rex looking hopelessly around the door entrance to rufus' place

"HEY SHITF*CK!" Vinnie jogged over towards Rex pushing him..

"Rough night last night, eh"
"You dont wanna know, man" Rex looked around with a very uncomfortable look on his face..

"James, how long does it take to make a hamburger? Not five damn minutes! Get out of here, and dont come back, you bum!"

Hell yea.

Jimmy could be called a loser. He was twenty and worked fast food because he dropped out of high school, and he was free floating from garage to attic, staying anywhere until he got kicked out. He was going on a road trip with some friends, and needed a way out of work. He was late already.

Vinnie, Rex, Jyo, Leah. All people he knew very little of. But Rufus was an old friend, and old friend indeed. If only Jimmy knew where he lived.

Wait, are we even meeting there?

How the hell was a poor schmuck like Jimmy going to make it anywhere? There were five possible places, and he wouldnt know how to get to any of them. This was going to be a problem. But never fear, Jimmy had an older brother. Had, as in he was killed for stealing a cops car. But Jimmy learned the trade. And the managers run down Maxima had no alarm.

If I stop in the middle of the highway, they might drive by me.

Jimmy pulled into the median of the highway, and got out. He realized he had nothing on him except eighteen dollars and a switchblade. Hell, by the time the crew realizes he has no money, they would have to drive back to kick him out. Or maybe he would find a money oppurtunity along the way. Either way, he might not even be going. Hopefully they had not left yet, and hopefully they were taking this road.

Rufus saw Rex and Vinnie outside the apartment building's gates.
"Oh good, our guns are here."
What Rufus loved about Rex and Vinnie is their dependability. If you needed mass quantities of Alcohol consumed or a large number of girls hit on, these were the two to come to. Sure Rufus could throw back a few when he felt like it, an ability developed after many sleepless nights after coming to this new college.

Rufus his the buzzer, unlocking the gate, Rex and Vinnie met Rufus Jyo and Leah halfway.
"You guys ready to go?" Rufus asked.
"What about James?" Jyo said.
"I said be here at 1, and he isn't here. I guess he doesnt want to come."
The group nodded, and proceeded to the car.
"Shotgun!" Jyo screamed as he saw the beast.
"Denied," stopped Rufus. "Leah gets shotgun."
Blank stares from everyone.
"Well I drive first. Putting Jyo up front would leave Leah alone with Rex and Vinnie. She'd lose her virginity before we got out of the state."
Leah giggled. Vinnie raised his hand a little.
"And tell me, whats so bad about that again?"
Rufus looked at Vinnie and Rex, wide grins on their faces.
"Like I said, Leah gets shotgun. And Rex..."
"Yes?" Rex swooned innocently.
"Don't rape Jyo while i'm driving. When you skull**** someone in my car, we damn near swerve into the next lane."

Laughter from the group. Rufus knew this would be a good trip

The five of them piled into the car, Rufus' monstrous '86 Lincoln Towncar. It got good mileage and you could fit the entire city in it, so it was Rufus' baby. His pride and joy.

The five of them piled into it, The stereo in Rufus' car blasting "Sabotage" by the Beastie Boys as Rufus jetted out of the apartment complex. Rufus did one thing well, and that was driving. He drove everywhere like there was a gunshot victim in the backseat and he was heading to the Hospital, and he never ever seemed to get pulled over.

"So where to first?" Asked Rufus as he turned down the volume.
"I know someone having a college party near Yale," chimed Jyo. "and the way I figure it, we should end up near there about 6 or 7 tonight with you driving."

Rufus grimaced. Leah looked at him consolingly. Rufus looked in the backseat. all three of them grinning like idiots. Theyre really looking forward to this already..... Everything will be fine. This will work...... Ok.

"Ok..... Yale it is."

Vinnie followed Rex up towards Rufus' apartment, only to be met half way by Jyo, Rufus and Leah.

Leah ahd grown up in the past year or so since shes been away at another college, and definately for the better. Vinnie lefted his headphones from his ears, and lay them around his neck..He scanned the hallway, as they left..peeling wallpaper, and what wallpaper was intact it was horribly discoloured
Nice Place Vinnie has always wondered what the inside of this place looked like ever since he was a little kid, Rufus and Vinnie swore that this place was haunted..theyd make up tales of murders and ghosts, just to scare themselves from ever walkin up to it..

Vinnie followed the guys to the car, its been so long since he's seen many of them. Leah had been the biggest surprise, he hadnt really talked to her in there younger days, she always had hung out with rufus on the opposite days of him..Jyo had always been a mystery to him, he was always quiet..well around him..but he had a weird odd quality that stood out..but what was vinnie thinkin, he was completely out-there he didnt really have much room to talk about other people. he was a smart guy, but was too lazy to do anything about it, excentric at times, while being quiet and to himself..he was just all over the place, maybe thats why nothing really worked out with him relationship wise..

Rufus cracked one of his wise jokes again makin him laugh..
"And tell me, whats so bad about that again?"

Vinnie walked towards the car, and realised something...

"Shotty window!" Vinnie ran towards the right side of the car on passenger sideand hopped in..

as they pulled out fo the parking lot, "Sabotage" had been blasting out of the crappy 8x10 stock speakers, crackin as the bass speaker would pulsate..
Vinnie reached into his backpack and pulled out his digital camera, and turned to the view option, and handed the camera to Rex..

"What the ****!" Rex couldnt seem to keep his laughter confided,
"Isn't that Mickey and...ahhaha Tom stewart" Vinnie chuckled as he reahced over and pressed the zoom button..
"look closer"
"Jesus, is that piss" Vinnie now had himself laughing at the thought of what he did, extremely immature of course..but how often can u piss on ur ex's bf?..He looked up at leah as she gave him a nervous,unsure look.

"Ya..." Vinnie took the camera back, and placed it back into his backpack.

"So theres a party in Yale, sounds good..i guess i could mingle with some smart kids." Vinnie opened his wallet, only to see a picture of his Ex, starring right back at him..it had only been 2 weeks, and she seemed to find someone real quick..3 days after they had broekn up she was going out with this Tom character. Pfffttt typical jock, i guess girls really dont go for film and media students anymore..ahhah what was he thinkin, hot girls never went for films geeks, film geek, he was far from it. He partied with the best of them, drank with the best of them, and up until 2 weeks ago he slept with the best fo them. He further opened his wallet to a bunch of bills and slips of paper,.. 20,30,40,50,60,........500

"Ok, Rufus i got 500 boners man, 100 bucks for gas right?" Vinnie handed his money to Rufus..Vinnie slipped his wallet into his front pocket, and closed his eyes, and felt the warm air flowing threw the window..

"College is expensive....." Leah said, looking out the window.
"Yah" Muttered Jyo, who spent his last 25 on his prized dolphin, Chicken Von Vampire.
"What about you Rufio?" Rex said, perking his head up.
Rufus smiled and opened the glovebox. Receipts and a CD case. Which was huge.
"Is that thing full?"
"FINALLY. I finally bought the finishing cd. Two Hundred Fifty Six cds in there now."
"HOLY SHIT!!"
"Yeah, i'm a music whore."

Leah grabbed it from the glovebox and started going through the massive book of music. "The Bungles?"
"Bob the Beluga, man."
"........ok."
"What about you Leah? Any moolah? Or is Vinnie here our bank?"
"I have Eighty-Six dollars and Ninety-Two cents."
"So between the 5 of us, we have around Six Hundred. Most of which is Vinnies," Rufus looked back to the backseat, directly at Vinnie. "any of which that we may need to spend shall be paid back."

Horns blared. Rufus turned around and saw the oncoming car. What he hadn't heard is Leah's scream, nor had he saw Jyo pointing at the monstrous truck. Rufus hit the brakes and pulled the car into reverse, throwing the three in the backseat forward and Leah holding on for dear life to the dash. He hit the gas and proceeded to whip the car back into his lane, almost slamming into another mid-80s Camry.

"Rufus......"
"It isnt my fault, they need to realize that the entire road belongs to me and that they need to move out of my way. No matter WHAT lane im in."

Leah smacked him in the back of the head.

"This your first near wreck or something?" Jyo asked.
"YEAH, i'm not too used to it."
"Oh, well..... that'll change"

"Does someone else want to drive?" Rufus asked, moving away from the scene. ".................. You kids are the laziest bastards I know."
